Julius opened his eyes slowly and stared at the ceiling, his whole body felt heavy, everything was aching, his waist, his legs, his back, he already knew why, he reached for his phone and looked at the time.
2 PM.
"Oh my God," Julius said out loud, "that heat almost killed me."
He tried to shift his body and winced, his waist was not ready to cooperate at all, he lay there for a moment before he tried again, that was when he felt it, something on his left hand, something cool and unfamiliar sitting on his finger, he lifted his hand slowly and looked.
A diamond ring, big, sparkling, sitting right on his engagement finger like it had always belonged there.
Julius stared at it, "what trick is this again," he said quietly, he already knew, he did not even need to think too hard about it, he knew Harrison, he knew exactly how this man operated, quietly, completely, without telling anybody anything until it was already done.
