Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Finding the Ancient Pill!

"Perfect! I feel great!"

Everyone turned to glare at Kayson.

"You loser! Blind fool! Shut your mouth!"

"He's just sour because he couldn't get the pill!"

"Ignore this idiot!"

"Inexperienced trash talking out of his ass."

The crowd laughed and jeered.

Zhou Mengnan blinked at Kayson, confused, since Lewis Wang seemed fine.

Wendy Wang rushed to her grandfather's side. Seeing no discomfort, she snapped at Kayson:

"Spreading lies! Keep talking and I'll skin you alive!"

Zhou Mengnan stepped close and whispered:

"Big brother… what's going on?"

Kayson said: "An ordinary person would bleed from seven orifices instantly.

But he's a warrior—his inner energy is temporarily shielding his organs.

He'll be fine for now… but the poison will erupt within a day, and it'll kill him."

Wendy Wang scoffed. "Nice story! Doctors love pretending to cure healthy people just to show off!"

She thought he was faking a diagnosis to suck up to rich people.

Kayson shook his head. "I've said my part. Don't say I didn't warn you."

"One more word and I'll crack your skull!" Wendy shook her fist at him.

Kayson looked at her calmly:

"You have chronic migraines on your left side, sometimes blurry vision and flashing lights.

Your right heel hurts badly, especially when running.

You damaged your Achilles tendon without proper care; it's chronic tendinitis.

It's severe—your tendon is about to tear."

He leaned closer to her ear:

"You have intense liver fire, irregular periods, and cramps so bad you black out… right?"

"Wha—?!" Wendy was stunned.

Kayson spoke quickly: "It's womb cold. If you don't treat it, you'll never have children."

He turned and sprinted away.

Wendy stared at his back.

Every single word was true.

Kayson thought of the hooded man he'd bumped into earlier.

The real pill was with him!

It had been swapped!

He shoved through the crowd and raced outside.

"Haha! The loser ran away with shame!"

The crowd mocked louder.

"Some live-in husband pretending to know about ancient pills!

He can't even tell fake from real. Good riddance!"

Zhou Mengnan watched him go, thinking:

Nobody's perfect. Even experts make mistakes.

Wendy helped her grandfather into a luxury car and left.

"Young Master! The head is here."

Two black-suited men bowed to Zhou Mengnan.

She turned to see over a dozen bodyguards behind her.

A Lamborghini pulled up.

The door opened, and a glamorous woman in her mid-thirties stepped out, wearing a black dress.

It was Chloe Zhou, CEO of Azure Group.

"Mom, I'll be home soon—" Zhou Mengnan tried to slip away.

Chloe snapped her fingers.

The guards bowed:

"Young Master, please don't make things difficult. Come back with us."

"Ugh!" Zhou Mengnan huffed and climbed into the car.

Chloe looked at her daughter:

"Why are you dressed like this?

Worse—you were with a live-in son-in-law. It ruins your status."

Zhou Mengnan said: "Mom, my big brother is an amazing doctor! He cured me!"

Chloe smiled gently at her daughter but paid no mind to some useless husband.

Zhou Mengnan continued: "I wanted to test if anyone would help me if I lay in the road.

So I put on these beggar clothes and lay down!

A hearse almost hit me—if Big Brother hadn't saved me, you'd never see me again!"

Chloe's expression turned grave. Her daughter was always naughty,

but this was beyond reckless.

"Enough!

Take that rags off immediately! And stay away from that loser from now on!"

Kayson's nose twitched. He followed the faint scent of the ancient pill.

His senses—sight, hearing, smell—were more than ten times sharper than ordinary people.

He tracked the scent all the way to the east side of Yunding Mountain.

For some reason, the mountain loomed like a giant beast,

exuding an indescribable aura of death.

Luckily, the hooded man didn't go up the mountain,

only stopped at the foot of the eastern slope.

Kayson walked in and saw rows of unfinished, ruined buildings—

72 in total.

72 Earth Fiends?

Kayson's heart tightened.

The hooded man stood with his back to Kayson and said coldly:

"You will be the 73rd."

Kayson glanced back.

"Good. You've chosen your own grave. I'll oblige."

The hooded man slowly turned, head still lowered, voice icy:

"I admire your courage, loser, for following me here.

Do you know this is a land of death?

Don't worry—I'll take good care of your wife after you're dead."

Kayson replied:

"Don't worry—I'll take good care of your wife and sister after you're dead."

"Left eye!"

The man's sleeve flicked. A dagger shot straight for Kayson's left eye,

cutting through the air with a sharp whistle.

He was confident in his skills and didn't see Kayson as a threat.

Whoosh!

Kayson didn't panic. At the last moment, he snapped his fingers

and clamped the blade firmly between his index and middle fingers.

"What?!" The hooded man looked up, stunned.

He was supposed to be the biggest loser in Cloud City!

How could he be this fast?

This wasn't luck—his reflexes and coordination were too precise.

But he quickly regained his arrogance.

"Do you know who I am? I'll let you die knowing!

Heard of the Four Tigers of the Cheng Family?

I'm Black Tiger!"

The Four Tigers were Golden Tiger, White Tiger, Green Tiger, and Black Tiger.

They'd robbed bank trucks, stolen national treasures, and had dozens of murders on their hands.

Brutal, infamous criminals.

Even though Kayson had caught his dagger, Black Tiger still had backup.

Kayson's mouth twitched. He flung the dagger into the nearby grass.

"Come out!"

Thud!

A green-faced man stumbled out, clutching his left eye, screaming.

"Third Brother!"

Black Tiger rushed to hold Green Tiger.

Green Tiger was his hidden backup.

But his left eye had been pierced straight through—

exactly what Black Tiger had threatened: take the left eye.

Green Tiger nodded painfully.

The two tigers suddenly lunged, daggers aimed at Kayson's vital spots.

Two against one!

They were certain Kayson would die.

Kayson pinched his fingers. Two playing cards shot out like lightning,

stabbing into both tigers' foreheads.

Drip… drip…

Blood gushed out.

Thud!

The two men collapsed, eyes wide open.

They died in disbelief.

Until their last breath, they could not understand:

How could the useless live-in son-in-law of Cloud City be this powerful?

Kayson kicked Black Tiger's body and searched for the ancient pill.
