The apartment felt fuller than it had in weeks, Tae-hyun settled carefully onto the couch with a pillow propped behind his back, Chae-won fussing over him with a blanket he clearly didn't need but wasn't fighting her on, and Seok-min seated in the armchair near the window, quiet but present, watching the domestic scene unfold with an expression somewhere between wonder and disbelief.
"I can walk on my own, you know," Tae-hyun said, though he made no move to push the blanket away.
"I know you can." Chae-won tucked the edge in anyway, smoothing it over his legs. "Humor me. I missed six years of doing this. Let me catch up a little."
Tae-hyun's protest died somewhere in his throat, replaced by a small, soft smile, and he let her fuss without further complaint.
