Chapter 1 - What do you know about it?

---

The wind was shaking violently, and strange sounds could be heard all around. People were talking about different things.

"Hey, do you hear this? Our goddess today…"

"She is truly the best."

"Yes, I have seen her with my own eyes. She is the greatest!"

"What? Are you talking about another goddess?"

"She is the best, right?"

"Yes, you are right."

"We don't even have the power to talk to her. They are the top five strongest."

"Even among them, she is the best."

"Yes, you are right."

While they were talking, they walked away.

From behind them, someone was listening.

A girl stood there holding a sword. She was wearing academy clothes. Her hair was yellow and messy, as if she never took care of it. Her face looked like someone who had been badly beaten and had almost forgotten how to smile. Her eyes were blue.

She was staring at them.

Around her were many students. All of them ignored her. Some looked at her with fear, some with disgust, as if thinking she should be killed.

"Hey, Miss Milia, are you practicing swordsmanship again?"

"Yes."

"Do you want to learn?"

"Yes… but no matter how much I try, I keep failing again and again."

"I know how hard you work. One day, you will become the greatest sword master."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Thank you very much."

Someone else was also there—someone who felt jealous when looking at others and was proud of their noble family. People like that should stay away from others.

After saying this, they left while looking at her with disgust.

"Listen to me carefully."

"Go away. You should never go near her."

They pointed at me with their finger.

"Yes… everyone is standing equally."

"I am someone who has done many bad things. I have done things that should have earned me a death sentence."

Everyone wants that… but there are also things I never did. Yet no one will punish the real culprit.

I stood with my head down.

"What happened to me…?"

"How did I end up here?"

The truth is—I am not from this world. I came from another world.

"How did I end up in a visual novel game?"

It is a game with many different characters and stories.

The real hero is supposed to survive and defeat all enemies.

It was a popular game with many endings.

But the most terrifying thing is—

I have been reincarnated as a small villain.

A villain who constantly obstructs the hero's path.

My biggest problem is that I cannot stand seeing all the girls around the hero.

Because of that, I attacked him in many ways, defamed him, and caused trouble.

But in the end of the story, the hero and the heroine capture me and punish me.

The worst part is—I will die at their hands.

"…I need to figure out how to survive."

Then I looked to the side.

There they were.

Four of them.

I heard people talking about them.

"Miss Iris Lagoon…"

"Yes, she is the one who can use magic like her sister."

"She is a top-class magic user."

Her sister is even stronger—beyond imagination. But their relationship is not good.

If I remember correctly, her sister dies in Chapter 50 of the game during a mission.

Behind them—

"Miss Penelope Eckhart…"

Just seeing her gave me fear.

She is one of the smartest heroines. She lost her parents at a young age and learned how to survive in a harsh world. She values money, power, and status. She moves carefully in noble society and has strong influence.

Because of her, the hero's path changes greatly.

I must stay away from her.

I know she likes the hero.

Even if she has a difficult personality, she would do anything for him.

Then—

"Miss Yuna…"

She is always quiet, never talks much, and always reads books. She is from a powerful noble family known for military strategy and intelligence.

I once annoyed her. I made her book fall into water. It was because of my arrogant behavior as a noble.

Because my mother is from the royal family and my father is very powerful, no one could punish me before.

But now… I am seeing the consequences of my actions.

Suddenly someone looked at me.

"Oh? What are you doing here?"

As I turned around, a girl approached me with a slight smile.

"Penelope…"

"Me?"

"Yes, you."

"Wait… please forgive me. I should call you 'Your Majesty'."

"No, no… what should I call you?"

You said:

"I don't care what name you call me," I said with a small sigh.

Hearing my words, it felt like everything I had imagined was slowly fading away. I would say it like this…

"Wait… what did you just say? That I can call you any name I want and it won't matter?"

I looked straight into his eyes and said, "Yes."

Again, hearing my words, he seemed completely shocked.

"Alright… if you want, then I will call you—"

But before he could finish speaking, I said, "Wait."

Everyone turned to look in another direction and saw a boy standing there. His hair was black, and his face was shining brightly. In his hand was a sword.

Seeing him, everyone started saying, "Look! Isn't that the one who saved the prince?"
