Chapter 13 - C13; school life here we come

The morning was dull. Their morning run existed amidst the mild raindrops. Nice was silent. Tiw watched him from a far no ideas in his head. With Nice nothing ever impressed him. His mood changes easily as that of a menopausal woman. After the morning activities the ten were called to the meeting room in the second floor. Nice was at the edge as usual sharpening a stick. He had bleak memories of the previous night but still he knew he had to find answers of his own by himself.

"So guys today on this rainy day we are going to shop abit. This is the list of essentials each of you should have. Once done with the shopping, you can walk or do stuff. It's free day for you. " He stated as he passed the sheets. They all went down and hopped into the van they came in, driven to some city. Slowly they walked to shops as while discussing and enjoying views on stuff till all quality items they came for were on them. Once at the final mall, they walked in. Nice still was alone.

"Hey." Tay stated trying to lighten the mood.

"What's up?" Nice asked casually as he placed the stick at hand into his bag.

"Straight to the point. What's up?" Tiw begun awkwardly.

"It's time." He responded calmly. Then he looked up. Dylan was there with Lily. Their eyes met. He hurriedly looked down.

"Time for..."

"The spirit war is coming." He responded. Nick passed them a set of pens.

"Pa said it's the most dangerous phase." Tay stated. It was the same time all of our parents vanished.

"Yes. To all of us." He looked up. Dylan was gone.

He placed a wide dish before him on the floor and sat his feet intertwined. In the dish was some white paste. He begun praying. One would sum it up as a ritual but to him it was like rosary reading for the catholics or chanting manthras for buddhists. Maybe random meditation. Once done he opened his eyes. The paste had a dark shade. It was mild. It dissapeared then came back darker. Some black smoke came from above it. This was the ritual he did immediately he touched her. Feliz.

Now with the golden spirit he was more confused but he needed to learn and affirm what would occur next. He did the same prayer but this time in the paste there was a shade of gold and white. He knew he and the Dylan bit had a war. A spiritual war. Their physical war wasn't his hence he dared not interpret it.

To him as he was taught the golden spirit belonged to righteous people. People who are well respected and thought severely before action. But now with an encounter, he saw that as a joke. How could the golden spirit owner just kiss him out of the blues? It was odd. He stood from the floor and walked to his wardrobe. He took out a bottle and stored the paste before placing it and the bowl in his bag. Inside there he added the black leather book. Then turned to the camera still with him. He saw a picture of him. Madrigal.

"I know you are still there somewhere in this house. I just want to know where my parents are." He spoke then turned to the next photo. It was one of Dylan holding a kite. His dad was with him. He didn't look sad. He seemed so happy unlike the situation now. He lay flat on his back as he continued observing the photos.

"Don't you think you need your camera back?"

"Just let him be with it." He responded all smiles.

"Michael, what did you do to him? Why were you horny? Did you go out there watching pornography?" He asked. He never told the boy who he really was but the words Nice spoke to his spirit made him realize the importance.

"No I just...kissed him..a bit...deep." he stated with a pretence stammer.

"You did what?"

"It was good actually. I had never experienced it."

"Michael, did you ever ask yourself why I am here?" Madrigal wished to go right on point.

"Because everyone thinks I killed an old man who drunk poison to finish his own life." He stated frankly. He thought maybe this old man pitied the guy placed on the news accused of murder at seven years.

"No. That is not the reason."

"Then what was it?" He stopped packing his stuff and sat looking at him.

"Because in our bloodline you are the only alive creature." He stated then was silent.

"So that makes me who? Batman?!" He stated with a laugh.

"You aren't serious."

"Obviously. Who'd believe such?"

"I really need to talk to Venice." He responded shaking his head.

Nick headed to army school. It was obvious he was the chosen one. The other nine had to go to the initial destination. St Vincent. The eight were seated when they noticed Nice's absence.

"You can leave. He will go to school with me." He stated as Tin coughed the engine.

He sat at the back of the limousine vehicle silently waiting. Minutes later he appeared with a bag on his back and a tiny briefcase. By the look of it to him it seemed expensive but that was what was offered. Mick picked the laugage and placed it in the vehicle. Nice turned to the building. David was watching from afar. Something about this family never felt right. His mother and sister were there too. He took a deep breath and turned to the grave. He took his own time as if the whole world was waiting for him. Then he hopped on the vehicle. Inside was Mick and some other bodyguard fully dressed in black suits just as in the movies. He turned to look at the guy beside him.

"Aren't you going to ask?" Dylan begun. He was wholly dressed in the St Vincent uniform.

"If you don't want to tell me then why ask?"

"Mick." He called. That response wasn't to his level.

"Yes sir?" He stated.

"Send the business files to my room. I'll check them out every weekend. On important meetings contact me if there is need and finally..." He took in a deep breath and looked at the guy beside him.

"I will share my room with this boy." That statement caught everyone with surprise. Mick hit the breaks to a stop then begun driving yet again.

"But you have never shared a room."

"It's okay. They're nine of them. If they all fit in two two one won't find a position so have him with me." He stated. The rest of the drive was silent and moments later Nice fell asleep. Dylan moved his head slowly and placed it on his lap.The two at the front looked and smiled.
