Chapter 2 — The Chosen One
The next morning, villagers gathered near the forest temple.
The priest looked worried.
"The spirit is angry," he said.
Someone had entered the sacred forest during the night.
They had cut down an ancient tree.
The villagers whispered in fear.
Because the sacred tree was believed to be the resting place of the forest spirit.
Shiva laughed when he heard the story.
"Spirits don't get angry," he said.
But the priest looked directly at him.
"They do when the balance is broken."
Then suddenly Shiva felt something strange.
A powerful energy rushed through his body.
His vision turned red.
For a moment he saw the forest differently.
He could hear the wind speaking.
He could hear animals crying.
And he could feel the anger of the forest itself.
Shiva stumbled backward.
"What… is happening to me?"
The priest looked shocked.
"The spirit has chosen you."
Shiva shook his head.
"No way."
But deep inside, he knew something had changed.
The forest was calling him.
