Some fans outside the court could not help speaking up. The situation on Aoba Johsai's side was already clear: as long as Hank kept pushing, they could seize control of the match.
But it was easy to predict that Wakatoshi Ushijima would not let things feel easy for them either.

After Toru Oikawa once again sent a long set to Hank on the left side, another roar swept across the entire court. Then, after one of Shiratorizawa's back-row players sent the ball flying off his receive, the score was locked tight again.

Just as everyone on Aoba Johsai was thinking that they absolutely had to defend this ball, Tsutomu Goshiki's straight-line spike swept directly into Aoba Johsai's back row. As the one who sent the ball flying with his forearm pass, Yutaro Kindaichi immediately looked apologetic.

Kindaichi lowered his head, sweat covering him completely. After such a high-intensity match, he was already starting to lose his form.
"It's fine. There are still two balls left. As long as we can grab them, Shiratorizawa will lose this set to us!"
Oikawa comforted Kindaichi briefly, then shifted his attention back to Wakatoshi Ushijima in front of him. Ushijima alone had already taken half of Shiratorizawa's points in this match. In other words, almost eleven of Shiratorizawa's points had come from him.
He was terrifyingly strong.
"No matter how hard each of you works, you still cannot resist absolute strength."
As Ushijima spoke, he quickly rose and once again slammed a spike into Aoba Johsai's court. The ball landed in the hands of Aoba Johsai's back-row libero. Since he had not prepared properly, he sent the ball flying out again.
And now the total score had reached 23:24.
If Shiratorizawa took one more point, then this set would be completely theirs!
"That guy's left-handed spike is too hard to defend! There's no way to stop it!"
Hajime Iwaizumi felt bitter inside. Most normal volleyball players attacked with their right hand, but Wakatoshi Ushijima was actually left-handed. On top of that, his power was enormous, not inferior at all.
That created tremendous pressure. The players on their team had no idea which direction they should defend against his attack from!
"Oikawa, on the next ball, if you can receive it…"
"Set it to my upper left."
Hank glanced at Oikawa beside him. He was already prepared. The trump card he had originally planned to save for the second set now had to be used immediately.
It was the left-handed spike he had used before!
Although Wakatoshi Ushijima was also in the front row right now, and there might be the issue of him blocking, none of that mattered before Hank's left-handed spike appeared!
"Got it, Hank."
After hearing Hank's request, Oikawa did not hesitate at all and directly agreed.
