The National Military Headquarters, the country's top command center, was a massive complex spanning 50 hectares.
It was more like a highly secure government campus than a fortress with several buildings. It also has a parade ground for ceremonies, a national flag plaza, helipads, vast underground parking areas, communication towers, and so on.
Its utilities were highly independent with their own small power plant and backup generators, so because they were not directly hit by the disasters, it had been almost uninterrupted.
It also had a lot of open spaces and parks, though the landcape design was quite straightforward and formal-looking, aiming to give the effect of gravitas rather than pure aesthetic.
