Many of them were a bit startled to find themselves in the middle of nowhere all of a sudden, seeing a massive meteorite in front of them. Liya was startled and scared, but Errol and Genius' eyes sparkled in curiosity, their exploratory personalities definitely triggered this time.
Liya furtively stepped back a few meters, while the rest moved towards it. When they saw a weird, dead bug-like creature in front and found out it came out of the rock, everyone paused. Liya moved back several more meters, while the rest looked at Naia and Kael, wondering what they wanted to do.
Naia pointed at the remaining alien carcass. She had pulled it out before it was completely absorbed, so now it looked like a creepy melted version. However, it was enough to show the rough size and shape of the thing.
"So…this is a weakened version of the alien from the book."
"What?"
"It's so…big!"
"It's disgusting!"
"Fascinating…" Dock said, making the others look at him oddly.
