The duel soon began, Ares and Athena both rode chariots and started fighting, their fight started resonating waves of power. The whole Olympus knew just from the waves there, that Ares and Athena are fighting each other.
Their chariots soon fell and they jumped to the ground. Ethos has to agree, Athena looked quite beautiful even with her war maiden figure. Ares is wearing future spartan like attire. A golden armour, a helmet with horns. He is holding a shield in one hand, a spear in another hand.
A sword is hung on his waist, he looked very excited as he is fighting. Their weapons clashed one after another sending sparks and shock waves. They started fighting outside the arena too, in th sky they flew around battling each other. Ethos yelled," fight, fight, fight ".
His swords seemed to arise an even more deep fighting instinct within them. Both the gods started using more force. As their weapons clashed, some minor Gods already left the scene fearing they might be blown away. Hestia looked at Ethos in disbelief while Zeus turned to Ethos and raised an eyebrow.
Is this really the son destined to go against him? Zeus has this question at this moment. Hera looked at Ethos and sighed. She hoped he will stay like this, so not to get implicated by his father zeus and go through some troubles in future to prove loyalty.

Weapons sent sparks, armours are sractchec and pierced, one by one all weapons started appearing, Ares fired them like high speed arrows at Athena who countered it with her own. Then she used magic to call upon lightning and struck Ares who also used his ability to manipulate lightning inherited from Zeus.
As long as Zeus allows it, almost every one of his children can use power of lightning. The lightning clashed sending sparks on to the audience, but Zeus nuetralised them before they can reach the Gods witnessing this fight. The duel became more and more serious. Athena and Ares grew to the size of a mountain then started fighting each other.
Athena is clever and has good strategy to fight again Ares who has the mastery of weapons. Athena finally used magic to create chains secretly then hit Ares with her spear ending the fight as her win. Ares raged calling her cheating for using Magic, then he is struck by lightning from Zeus.
Zeus announced," Athena proved herself through trial of combat. From now on, the divinity of war involving strategy and victory will be granted as her divine authority ", he decreed as such, Ares looked at Athena with anger before snorting and walking away.
Athena stood calmly, she knew this is Zeus tactic to sow discord between siblings and make trouble for her, so she can't use her wisdom against him. She turned Ethos who is now talking to Hestia. Her eyes narrowed, the prophet says, a son born to Zeus will dethrone him just like he did with his father Chronos.
Since the Zeus is living in fear of his children. That also why he swallowed Metis to prevent the birth of his son who will dethrone him. Athena narrowed her eyes at Ethos.
