They say time flies when you're having fun. Rigel couldn't say if every moment was fun, but the fact was that time really did seem to fly by, two months passed quickly amidst Rigel's busy routine.
Between classes, homework, self-study, Quidditch practice, training in his dreams, interaction with friends, and constant visits to Calypso and the unicorns, the latter usually happening at the same time, Rigel continually found himself with no time to spare.
Fortunately, the coffin's powers were still strong, and his Triton lineage helped a lot, even with the fast pace, Rigel didn't feel the least bit annoyed.
Instead, this seemingly rushed pace actually had a rather pleasant monotony.
Even the times when Dean and Seamus dragged him to play soccer or quidditch could be considered quite relaxing pastimes.
With Rigel's physique, he didn't need to exert much effort while playing, at most, he had to avoid hurting his friends. Rigel, of course, dragged Neville along to play as well, and although the boy always ended up getting hurt somehow, he could see that at the end of the day, Neville was still smiling because he could participate.
It helped that Rigel usually played with Neville, so in the end the game was balanced.
Sometimes he would also play pranks with the twins, Jack was practically glued to them most of the time, and he had heard Filch say more than once that he wanted to cook that monkey, thankfully he didn't actually do it.
Calypso particularly liked unicorns, and the unicorns liked her very much. Although her voice wasn't as addictive as Rigel's, her aura was extremely attractive to them. The time he brought her there, he didn't even need to do anything, the unicorns quickly gathered around her, all very happy.
The magic of the unicorns was incredibly pure, and she quickly grew fond of them because of it. The relationship between them and the unicorns progressed rapidly, they even managed to get the unicorns to take them for a ride. Rigel and Calypso had a lot of fun with the group.
The unicorns already knew they were wizards, but the relationship was already good, although it hadn't yet reached the point of asking for their blood.
Rigel was also preparing to help the unicorns when Voldemort came after them, he had already befriended the group and didn't want that wretched Quirrell sinking his teeth into the poor unicorns.
Rigel asked Calypso to keep an eye on the unicorns' fate. When they were threatened, he would simply place them on one of his ships, put the ship in a bottle, and store it in the King's Treasury. At that point, the unicorns wouldn't even notice the time passing, and they could be completely safe.
It was brilliant.
Regarding the classes, most of the teachers liked Rigel very much, he was a model student, intelligent, but not annoying like Hermione. Besides his talent, although his talent related to spells was still a little behind, with his previous training and being able to practice in his dreams, he was well ahead.
There were two exceptions to this: Quirrell and Snape.
Snape pretended not to see Rigel, after the first lesson, he simply ignored his existence. This worked wonders for Rigel's partner, Neville. By ignoring Rigel, Snape also ignored Neville, although the boy remained oblivious. As long as Rigel gave simple and clear instructions, he could be a good helper.
Well, he still lost focus sometimes, but it was still an improvement.
Quirrell, on the other hand, seemed to avoid Rigel like the plague, even during class, he kept as far away as possible and even avoided looking at the area where Rigel was.
Although a little confused, Rigel didn't mind much, except for the infernal garlic smell and irritating stutter. Quirrell wasn't so bad, as he ignored him, Rigel simply created a zone of silence and clean air around him while he studied on his own.
The magic of the wind is proving itself to be the most useful kind of magic.
Speaking of wind magic, Rigel tried to teach the boys the voice projection spell, as he had promised before.
Neville failed miserably.
Seamus exploded a cup from 3 meters away. His wand wasn't even pointed at it! Rigel gave up on teaching him after that, he wasn't afraid of Seamus blowing him up, he still had the Aztec Rune, but if he blew up any of the other boys, that would be a problem.
Ron barely accomplished anything.
Dean and Harry succeeded, Harry clearly faster.
Although this didn't prove that Harry had a better affinity for wind magic, as Rigel had taught him some other simple spells before, he found that Harry was simply talented.
He could learn most spells, though not as easily as Calypso, but with the effort he put in, he could achieve the same as Rigel with 10 times less effort.
A talented brat, indeed.
This made Rigel realize that Harry wasn't particularly talented at wind magic, he was just talented.
With frequent playtime and adequate nutrition, Harry was the most different person after a few months.
The skinny boy even had some baby fat now, although overall he was still thin.
On a side note, Rigel finally realized the effect he had on the girls, ironically, this happened because he had been paying a little more attention to Hermione lately.
He wasn't interested in the little girl in a romantic sense, he was just curious to see if anything would change or if she would truly be alone, so he paid attention to Hermione and, consequently, to the group of girls.
It was easy to see the change over time, at first the girls still spoke to her, at least a few words, but after a while, not even Parvati, the kindest of the Gryffindor girls, could stand Hermione anymore.
Although she didn't deliberately push her away, it was still clear that she didn't want to be near her.
Hermione became increasingly focused on books because of this, the girl seemed clearly hurt, so she tried to forget about it by reading books.
Rigel didn't try to befriend Hermione out of pity, he himself enjoyed the calm pace of his current life. He didn't want a bossy and talkative 'follower', the quiet and gentle Neville was still the best!
In any case, it was by paying a little attention to Hermione that he noticed the girls' stares.
When he looked in their direction, they blushed, embarrassed, lowered their heads, and ran away quickly.
At first, Rigel thought there was something on his face or something like that, it was only when he confirmed that it wasn't anything like that that he finally understood what was happening.
He even paid attention to the girls from other houses, even the older ones.
Although the older girls still ignored Rigel, finding him more cute than handsome, the younger ones looked at him, talking quietly and giggling.
He'd have to be an idiot not to realize that.
Well, he didn't notice before, but that was because he wasn't paying attention, not because he was an idiot. Right?
So Rigel made a decision: to stay away from those prison baits as much as possible.
In any case, another interesting event was coming up, the next day would be Halloween.
This means Quirrell is going to unleash a troll on Hogwarts!
Although this would hardly attract Rigel's attention, it would probably bring a reward after all, right?
He had already tried to go to Cerberus after Harry went there, and even though he succeeded, he discovered that he received no reward, the book made it clear that he missed his chance.
This left Rigel very regretful, this time he wouldn't miss the chance!
