Rigel was practicing Fiendfyre in his dreams. After three months of practice, from beginning to end, Rigel had gained some control over the spell. Even though it grew a little, his practices now consisted of increasing the flame to the point of almost losing control and maintaining control for an extended period, with the flame growing a little more each day.
But today Rigel ended up being burned by his flame again, this was the fifth time.
He needed total concentration for that spell, but today he kept losing focus, he kept thinking about his Patronus.
After that, Calypso's Patronus changed as well. He wasn't sure if she did it on her own or if it was truly an involuntary change, but her Patronus became a merman, just like Rigel.
This made Rigel even more embarrassed, and in the end he had to carry out a strategic escape, locking himself in his coffin.
He had been there for more than a day, but his mind kept returning to that moment. He didn't know what this feeling inside him was, he refused to think it was love. At most, it was a feeling of affection between friends.
But even so, the way Calypso looked at him made him very ashamed, he couldn't look at her normally. He could only isolate himself in his coffin to think, but no matter how long he thought, the sense of shame didn't lessen.
In the end, Rigel did what he did best, he forced himself not to think about it, treating it as if it had never happened.
What proved quite difficult was when he emerged from the coffin and Calypso looked at him smiling. It wasn't that suggestive smile, nor the cheerful smile, nor the loving smile, it was a smile that said 'I know you felt something'.
Rigel looked away and pretended not to see.
The calypso classes stopped because Rigel had nothing left to teach, the rest was either too dangerous or he didn't want to teach it. From then on, she could only rely on herself to practice, but she didn't mind much.
Leaving aside that brief interlude with Calypso, Rigel realized that he had practically accomplished his objectives at that point, he killed Barbossa, found the fountain of youth, dealt with Blackbeard, dealt with Salazar, and obtained Poseidon's trident...
Well, except for Davy Jones, he was pretty much free for the next year.
His fame also grew considerably at that point, but he could still do better.
Deep in thought, he knew that the plot of the third film was already severely damaged.
Calypso was free, the pirate lords were without their eight-pieces, Hector was dead, Jack wasn't so worried about Davy Jones anymore because of Rigel...
Rigel also didn't know if Davy Jones would come after him. With his fame growing, Davy Jones could come after Rigel at any moment, after all, the title of being Calypso's lover had already spread, and he doubted that Davy Jones could handle that.
The man would rather kill Calypso and Rigel than see them together.
It was an extremely obsessive 'love'.
This means that Davy Jones could come after Rigel at any moment. Furthermore, Beckett wanted to control the seas, and he wanted Davy Jones for that, but what about Rigel? Would he consider Rigel a better option for controlling the seas? Or, because Rigel didn't have a weakness like Davy Jones, would he be discarded?
But what he was sure of was that this guy wouldn't tolerate Rigel, he wanted control of the sea, which meant Rigel would have to disappear.
Everything was so confusing that Rigel could only guess what would happen from now on.
His fame had already reached the point of overwhelming him, unless he directly attacked a city or killed a king, he couldn't let his fame continue to grow just by continuing to do what he was doing.
Rigel thought for a long moment.
He came to two conclusions, he could summon the pirate court to become Pirate king or he could finally form his fleet.
Both options would greatly increase his fame. After thinking it over, he decided to improve the pirate hat first, since the loyalty of his subordinates depended on it. If the hat was further improved, the loyalty of these men would be even greater.
So, how do you summon the pirate court?
He had no idea, so he went to ask Calypso, she should know, he didn't want to interact much with the woman at the moment, but at this point he had no one else to ask.
Calypso was still looking at him with that irritating smile, but he endured the ridiculousness and asked what he wanted.
Calypso's answer was simple. "It was done through the pieces of Ocho, using a ritual to spread an ancient pirate song through them, all the holders could hear the call, then they would meet at Shipwreck Cove, where the pirate court's headquarters are located."
Rigel blinked, this was a problem. The pieces of Ocho had disappeared. Would he have to go after each of the lords? That's when Rigel remembered a reward he had received before. He took a horn from his bag, and looking at it, he felt that this might work.
Although it's not an old pirate song, it's still a call, right? But while he was thinking about it, it was likely that the pirates would simply ignore it, after all, nobody knew what the sound of the horn meant.
While he was thinking, Calypso spoke. "I can help you with that, I can make your voice echo to them, and while they are at sea, they will hear you."
Rigel looked at her in surprise, suddenly remembering that he was beside a goddess. Rigel opened his mouth to deny it, he didn't want to receive much help from Calypso, not because he didn't appreciate it, but because he didn't want to owe the woman any more.
But thinking about it, if he couldn't get her help, he would have to rely on chance to sound the horn and the lords understanding, or go after them personally.
Rigel thought for a moment longer before sighing and agreeing.
"Actually, you could do that on your own with the crown, you'd just need to learn how to use its power." Calypso shrugged.
Rigel did not reply, he had already tried to use the crown's divine power for more than its description, but without success.
Divine power without a foundation was like trying to cast a spell without a wand, Rigel had the divine power, but his body couldn't control it, which was frustrating.
So Rigel prepared for the summons, he wouldn't sing the old song. Instead, Calypso placed her hand on his shoulder. Rigel felt her power envelop him. The next moment, he spoke, his voice sounding ethereal. "My name is Rigel C. Black, pirate lord, liberator of Calypso. One month later, meet me at Shipwreck Cove. If you refuse, I will ensure you never set foot on a ship again without fear."
A smile formed on Calypso's lips, she adored this authoritative side of Rigel, in fact, she adored all sides of him, not that she would say so, or he would run away from her again.
He was really a silly boy.
