The return trip to the island was quite quick, Rigel had been sailing around the island, after all, he didn't want anyone to reach the fountain while he was looking for a way to protect it, even if the chances were low, they were still possible, especially with the news that Rigel had found the Fountain of Youth.
As soon as they landed on the island, they went to the nearby camp where a group of pirates were holding captive prisoners.
The prisoners were all placed in separate cells, before, they were together, but some died fighting, so Rigel separated them. Of course, others died for various reasons, one killed himself, another ate a poisonous frog, some died of disease after being bitten by local insects. It was truly more difficult to keep these guys alive than to reunite them.
As soon as he landed, Pintel approached, now younger and with hair. "Captain, no one died this time."
Rigel nodded, if any of them had died, he could only go after more. He finally sighed in relief, although he still had his coffin to practice magic in. This hunting period had been truly irritating.
The next moment, fearing that one of them might randomly die again, he looked directly at Calypso.
Calypso smiled into Rigel's eyes and said. "Gather them all together."
Rigel looked at the pirates and zombies and said. "What are you waiting for?! Go!"
As soon as Rigel said this, the pirates quickly rushed to gather the captives, amidst the lamentations of these men, clearly knowing that nothing good would come of it. In fact, Rigel even thought that the deaths of some of them had been orchestrated by other captives, because they had already realized that they needed a large number.
Thus, Rigel ordered that they all be knocked unconscious while being thrown onto the growing pile of heinous criminals.
Rigel looked at it calmly, but Will and Clemens looked away, the pair had the 'best hearts' among his subordinates.
Even Elizabeth didn't care much, after all, Rigel had already said that each of them was a murderer and rapist, and none of them deserved forgiveness in her opinion.
When the last captive was thrown onto the pile, Calypso finally stepped forward, she began to sing, the language was strange to the ears of those who listened, it didn't sound like any language they knew, Rigel put on the crown, only then did he begin to understand what she was saying.
"...may malice bind them to this land, may its chains force them to guard this place forever..." She sang continuously, and when she finished, the wind roared fiercely, a typhoon formed where the captives were, spinning faster and faster until the captives awoke, they screamed, scratching their own skin as it fell.
It was very much like extracting life from the fountain of youth, their skin completely fell off, but their skeletons did not. Instead, they became hazy and incorporeal.
The next moment, a dense fog began to cover the island as the skeletons quickly disappeared into the mist.
Calypso turned to Rigel and said. "There you go, as long as anyone sets foot on the island, they will be attacked by sinful spirits."
Rigel blinked, looking at the fog that was slowly decreasing from 0% visibility to around 80%.
"The fog gets thicker when they're around." She said, looking around.
"How strong are they?" Rigel asked curiously.
"Hmm... not very strong, but for normal humans, there's no way to deal with them." Calypso shrugged.
Rigel thought for a moment, it was enough, but one question remained in his mind. "What about us? Will they attack us?"
The other pirates also stirred, they were terrified to see those captives turning into ghostly skeletons.
"I've marked you. As long as you're around, they won't attack. Of course, you can call them if there's danger, and they'll obey you." Calypso winked at Rigel.
Rigel's lips trembled, and he looked away. Calypso hadn't asked for this, just as she hadn't asked for anything in a long time. Rigel had been feeling increasingly uncomfortable with it.
However, he knew that what the woman wanted was a piece of him, and Rigel wouldn't do something like that to pay someone. Instead, he thought of another way to pay the woman.
Lost in thought, he remembered the dragon heartstring wand in his bag.
Perhaps he could teach her some magic from his world? A wand would be a nice gift.
//-//
In Ragnarok, Rigel was in his room, this time with Calypso in front of him, holding a magic wand.
It was precisely the yew wand with dragon heartstring that Rigel had used before.
It wasn't the most suitable one for the woman, but it was the one she accepted most among those Rigel had with him.
Calypso looked at the wand with evident curiosity.
"Let's begin, the first spell I'm going to teach you is Lumos, the illumination spell. The movement you should make is like this." Rigel began to demonstrate the movement, casting Lumos immediately afterward to show it.
Rigel looked curiously at Calypso, the woman tilted her head slightly, waved her wand as Rigel asked, and spoke. "Lumos."
The next moment, the tip of Calypso's wand ignited with force, and Rigel knew something was wrong the moment his corneas burned.
Damn! That was his ultimate attack! She had used it against him!
The light that Calypso emitted was so strong that it took Rigel several minutes to 'see' again, his vision was still blurry, and he had to drink a potion to help heal his eyes.
Calypso had a look of 'this has nothing to do with me' as soon as he looked at her.
Rigel's lips trembled, he sighed, and moved on to the next spell.
What left Rigel extremely resentful was that, unlike him, Calypso was a true talent.
No matter what spell he taught her, she learned quickly, by the end of the day, Rigel had taught her most of the common spells he knew, and Calypso had learned them all!
It got to the point where she could even ignore the movement of the wand and sometimes even the words.
Rigel got into his coffin and lay there for a long time, doubting life, he really wanted to go to Voldemort and punch him in the face a few times! The man was so petty that he didn't even give him a little talent at birth?!
Son of a bitch!
Rigel no longer worried about the logic of his thinking, he only felt that he hated his bastard father a little more.
