Cotton stood there stunned for a long moment, he was usually the most forgetful of any pirate crew he joined, because he was mute, so nobody liked 'talking' to him.
Being remembered first for something so good made old Cotton feel warmth in his old heart. Taking a deep breath, he nodded. He couldn't speak, he could only express his gratitude in this way.
He approached as Rigel gestured for the pirates to bring one of the captives forward. By this point, these guys already knew that nothing good would come of it, so they fought with all their might. Rigel rolled his eyes and punched the captive in the head, knocking him unconscious instantly.
Handing the chalices to Calypso, he took the vial containing the mermaids' tears and placed one inside the chalice labeled "Aqua".
Putting the vial away, he approached the fountain, let a few drops trickle into the two chalices, and then handed the chalice with the tear to Cotton. The man was already crying, shaking his head a few more times in gratitude.
