Chapter 85 - Chap.84 - Like the wind and the sea...

Bonus Chapter

A/N: Many people think that Rigel + Calypso's current power is game over in the Wizarding World. It isn't, although I won't go into details about that, you'll have to wait until he returns to the Wizarding World to find out.

And no, I haven't made the world of Harry Potter more dangerous, at least not at first glance. No super-powerful secret organization is going to appear out of nowhere, not even Voldy will appear with the power to destroy countries with a wave of his wand, it's still the same world.

Don't ask me how now, or I'll answer like my professor used to when asked questions on test days: "I don't know, I forgot." lol

Furthermore, he already returned to the Wizarding World in P_treon, specifically in chapter 112, we are currently in chapter 120.

Rigel gazed thoughtfully at the pearl, he put on the crown, feeling the divine power enveloping him once more, as soon as he did, he felt a gaze upon him not too far away, he sighed, of course Calypso was still following him.

The woman seemed to realize he had noticed her, her figure slowly appearing in the room. She still had an irritated expression, not even speaking to Rigel, but Rigel didn't take his eyes off the pearl, he would deal with Calypso's problems later.

His body was surrounded by water as he floated toward the pearl.

Placing his hand on the pearl, he began to energize it with divine power, the faint, almost invisible, faded runes began to glow ever brighter, but soon stopped again. Rigel took a deep breath, nearly collapsing into the magma.

Calypso appeared directly behind him, letting out an irritated snort, she pulled him away from the pearl, setting him on the ground.

"You're a real idiot, trying to energize that thing with your weak divine power." She mocked him directly.

Rigel simply looked at her with a raised eyebrow, curious as to why she was there. He removed the crown, causing Calypso to frown even more. She bit her lip, her face contorted in fury. She just wanted to slap Rigel a few times to make him understand the reason.

Rigel sighed, seeing the woman's anger, and spoke. "This state is not safe, if I keep the crown for too long, I'll end up merging with the water and losing my sense of self."

Calypso frowned, thoughtfully gazing at the crown, then at Rigel, bending down and placing her hand on his body. She remained like that for some time before sighing in frustration, her irritated expression giving way to melancholy. She had thought the crown had made Rigel much more "Divine", but upon closer analysis, she realized he only possessed power without roots.

Unable to contain divine power, this state is only temporary and could very well kill him.

Her anger subsided somewhat, but this only made her more frustrated, she thought she had found the solution, but Rigel was still mortal.

"It's alright, we still have the Fountain of Youth." She sighed, sitting down beside him, still a little melancholic.

Rigel rolled his eyes at her, looking at the crown, the three sapphires seemed more opaque, although they were slowly recharging.

He shook his head and placed the crown in his bag, standing up and looking at the pearl, now the pearl was moving much faster than before, and with the knowledge he possessed, it could last for several thousand more years.

Furthermore, while touching her, he received some information, he discovered that he could control Atlantis.

It was like a master key that he received, probably due to Triton's power, he was considered close enough to Triton to receive control, although he could only truly control it while wearing the crown.

His basic functions boiled down to fixing broken things, controlling the island's animals, submerging and emerging, and sealing the place as it was sealed before, he could even give a rune that could 'release' passage through the seal.

It could also simply create a specific opening, like the eye of the tornado that Triton had left behind.

Realizing that he could now control the bees, Rigel couldn't even tell if his last adventure had been worthwhile or not, suddenly, the whole mission to get honey seemed redundant, making Rigel sigh in exasperation.

Finally... he felt he could use this place as a base for the next few years, and if he could seal it off, it was basically the perfect hideout.

It could also be the base for his fleet, he still needs to become the pirate king after all.

However, while thinking about the pirate king, Rigel froze for a moment.

"Hey, book!" Rigel called to the adventure book. "The pieces of Ocho burned, how am I going to become the pirate king?"

The Adventure Book responded quickly.

[Indeed, the host was unlucky in that respect, the pieces of ocho were lost, but the pirate lords are still there, you just need them to recognize you.]

Rigel stared at the Adventure Book, in the end, the objective hadn't changed, so he simply shrugged.

Rigel finally turned to face Calypso, who was staring intently at him. Rigel paused, he had never seen her look at him like that before.

There was no burning passion, nor lingering melancholy, not even that anger that seemed like it would drown him, no, she was just there, staring at him expressionlessly.

"What?" Rigel finally asked, confused.

Calypso didn't speak quickly, instead, she stared at him a little longer before finally speaking. "I don't know."

Rigel frowned, even more confused, staring back at her. They remained like that for a while until Calypso spoke again.

"I just don't understand you." She continued. "You keep running around, at first I thought you were looking for something, but no, you just stop for a moment and keep running to the next place."

Rigel didn't answer, how would he explain the achievements in the adventure book? In the end, it was better to say nothing.

Calypso didn't seem to mind, but continued speaking. "People often say I'm like the sea, temperamental, passionate and gentle one moment, cold and furious the next... but if I had to define you, you seem more like the wind."

"Wind?" Rigel raised an eyebrow.

Calypso gave a humorless little laugh. "Elusive and always in motion, you seem to belong everywhere, but at the same time nowhere, always nearby, it feels like I can touch you, but no matter how hard I try, I can never hold you, we are like the wind and the sea, always together, but always apart..."

Rigel stared at the woman for a moment longer than usual. He saw a rare fragility in Calypso, he almost thought he was hallucinating, but when he blinked, she was still there, looking at him with an expression that bordered on sadness, but was closer to resignation.

"Like the wind and the sea..." Rigel repeated, seeming to feel a certain resonance with this Calypso.

He hated that passionate figure because she enveloped him without leaving him a choice, he hated the angry figure because it seemed like she would swallow him whole at any moment, he hated that lonely figure because it only showed how different they really were.

However, it was only at that moment that he learned something new about Calypso, she could feel frustrated, resigned, and sad, just like a normal human.

There was neither indifference nor authority, only the fragility that made Calypso less of a goddess and more human.

He could ignore the previous Calypso, but he had a weakness for 'acting cute'.

Elizabeth was the first to discover this, it didn't lead him to grant all her requests, but he was still more lenient with her because of it.

Seeing Calypso's current fragility, for the first time he didn't feel like pushing her away, but rather patting her on the head and telling her that everything would be alright.

Of course, he didn't do that.

He stood up and started walking away, ready to leave the volcano. Before leaving, he turned his head slightly, asking in a soft voice. "Are you coming?"

Calypso watched Rigel's figure leave with growing resignation, but when he stopped and called her name, she felt her heart leap again in her chest. Smiling, she stood and quickly followed him.

As soon as she got close to him, she felt the urge to hug him tightly, but she held back. Seeing him glance briefly at her before starting to walk away, she smiled again, quickly following him.
