That scrawny Carter kid got his scent all over her, Terror rumbled in my chest, grumbling at the stench Carter had draped all over her.
Daisy glanced around her dramatically, before blinking her golden eyes rapidly at me. "Were you talking to me?"
"Delete Carter's number, right now, Candace." I repeated, seething furiously, dropping her wrist.
Her vanilla and flowery scent surrounded us both, despite the several inches of space between us.
"Wow," she burst out into a pear of laughter, adjusting the furry dog in her arms. The mongrel bared its teeth at me. A single glare had it shutting up and whining, trying to hide its face in Daisy's chest, between her breasts.
Terror purred and my teeth ground hard against each other at the image of her getting pressed up in a hug against Carter.
