While Zhao Chen was contemplating the upcoming strategic deployment, Secretary Officer Lilith had already handled the pre-battle mobilization and preparations.
"All starships of the Fierce Dragon Fleet can enter combat readiness within half an hour. All strategic supplies are fully prepared!"
Secretary Officer Lilith also provided Zhao Chen with a list detailing all the starships in the Fierce Dragon Fleet.
In truth, there hadn't been much change since the military operation at the end of last year, as all the starships constructed in January were auxiliary types.
Who could have predicted the sudden emergence of this so-called Zerg Plague?
However, with Zhao Chen's current setup, while it might not be enough to completely subdue these Interstellar Zerg, it certainly provided the capability for self-preservation within the situation.
"This time, all twenty T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers and five T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers will be deployed.
Considering the speed difference between T3 interstellar warships and T2 starships, we will not operate as a unified force this time.
The T3 interstellar warships will depart first.
The T2 starships will follow afterward.
The T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship will proceed to the interstellar border space of the Arctic Fox System and remain on standby, escorted by ten T2 Black Rhino-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigates.
We will leave ten T2 Black Rhino-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigates and one T2 Zero Blizzard at the base.
The remaining forty T2 Black Rhino-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigates, ten T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleships, five T2 Lion King-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ships, and one T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship will form the second combat formation."
Zhao Chen outlined his combat deployment.
Currently, the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship remained in a confidential stage, and it was best to delay its public reveal as long as possible.
As for the T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bombers, being interstellar stealth bombers themselves, their stealth capabilities made them particularly suitable for Zhao Chen's current situation. Operating with the fleet also minimized the risk of detection.
Deploying the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship in advance to the interstellar border space of the Arctic Fox System was also a precautionary measure, ensuring it could be called upon if needed.
It could quickly reach the battlefield via Stargate. Within the North Wind Star Domain, this would take at most half a day, or just a few hours at best.
"Understood. I will relay the orders immediately," Secretary Officer Lilith promptly went to convey Commander Zhao Chen's instructions.
At that moment, Zhao Chen was pondering another issue.
That was the task of hunting thirty T3 Nest Motherships. T3 Nest Motherships were scarce in number.
The lord fleet commanded by the Governor of the North Wind and the Imperial Army would undoubtedly prioritize them as primary targets. If he acted even slightly later,
it might become uncertain whether he could gather thirty T3 Nest Motherships.
"The first task must be expedited," Zhao Chen rubbed his chin, as a somewhat audacious idea began to form in his mind.
Once the time arrived, the prepared Fierce Dragon Fleet set out.
North Wind Star Domain · North Wind Primary Star System · Governor's Office
"What is the current situation?" the Governor of the North Wind asked, gazing at the star map of the entire North Wind Star Domain.
Across the various star systems of the North Wind Star Domain, patches of red areas were visible. Upon closer inspection, one could notice that within these red areas, there were one or several intensely red points at specific locations.
"As of now, the number of Cosmic Zerg Nests has expanded to eighty-nine! And new Cosmic Zerg Nests continue to appear.
Among them are six Level 3 Cosmic Zerg Nests, eighteen Level 2 Cosmic Zerg Nests, and sixty-five Level 1 Cosmic Zerg Nest.
The affected star systems have already reached thirty-nine!" a subordinate nervously reported, then updated several red areas on the Star Map in front of Governor of the North Wind.
At a glance, nearly one-fifth of the North Wind Star Domain was covered in red areas, with a clear trend of continued outward expansion.
"Such a dense emergence of so many Cosmic Zerg Nests in such a short time is unprecedented!" Governor of the North Wind frowned.
"Indeed, based on the current situation, it is highly likely that the number of Cosmic Zerg Nests will exceed one hundred!
Now the worry is... whether a Level 4 Cosmic Wormhole might appear! We can still handle Level 3 Cosmic Zerg Nests, but if a Level 4 Cosmic Wormhole appears... it could even threaten the safety of the entire North Wind Star Domain!" the subordinate said with concern.
Governor of the North Wind said solemnly, "How is the mobilization order for the entire star domain being carried out?"
"As of now, aside from the affected star systems, the other star systems can collectively mobilize approximately ten thousand lord fleets.
However, considering that two-thirds of them are T1 Interstellar Warships, their effectiveness on the Frontline Battlefield is not significant.
Only less than three thousand interstellar warships can truly be deployed to the frontline against the Interstellar Zerg!" the subordinate replied.
"Three thousand... that was expected, after all, mobilizing lord fleets is only a temporary measure.
The most crucial aspect is the mobilization of the Imperial Army.
Our North Wind Star Domain is garrisoned by three corps-level Imperial Army units, totaling nearly ten thousand interstellar warships. How are they doing?" Governor of the North Wind inquired.
"The three corps-level Imperial Army units have been ordered to support the affected star systems, but the number of star systems suffering from the Zerg Plague is truly overwhelming.
Relying solely on the three corps-level Imperial Army units for assistance is still insufficient," the subordinate said worriedly.
"I have already reported the situation to the Empire, requesting the dispatch of Imperial Army units from several surrounding star domains to reinforce our North Wind Star Domain!" Governor of the North Wind said gravely. "No matter what, we must minimize the losses from this incident.
We absolutely cannot allow a tragedy akin to hell on earth to unfold in our North Wind Star Domain!"
"Yes!"
It was already the third day since the North Wind Star Domain was attacked by the Interstellar Zerg.
By now, many planets had been invaded by the Interstellar Zerg, and battles of varying scales had erupted across various regions, with victories and defeats on both sides.
Against Zerg Fleets equipped only with T2 Hive Motherships, local interstellar fleets could still manage to some extent.
However, when facing Zerg Fleets with T3 Nest Motherships, the situation was entirely different.
Zerg Fleets with T3 Nest Motherships could only be hoped to be annihilated by relying on Imperial Army fleets.
But currently, the Imperial Army fleets, acting as firefighters, were stretched too thin to handle everything.
K3000 Star System
A Level 3 Cosmic Bug Nest had appeared here, leading to harassment by T3 Nest Motherships.
Several planets had already fallen.
The current situation was like a plague, beginning to corrode the entire K3000 Star System!
Outside the Sixth Planet of the K3000 Star System
This planet possessed a stunningly beautiful ring, but beyond that ring, a brutal battle was currently raging.
A coalition lord fleet of a thousand starships was desperately holding off a vast, dark swarm of Zerg fleets.
Within the Zerg fleet, two T3 Nest Motherships were clearly visible!
Countless Zerg swarmed towards the coalition lord fleet like a tidal wave.
The coalition's defensive line was on the verge of collapse.
"Report! Our left flank has been breached!" a starship crew member shouted in terror.
The coalition fleet commander's face paled with fear. Looking at the star map, he could see a breach had opened on one side of the defensive line, with dense clusters of Zerg life signals pouring through the gap.
The scene was utterly horrifying.
Their starships were in imminent peril!
"It's over... it's completely over..." the coalition fleet commander muttered, his face deathly pale.
