Chapter 292 - Chapter 292: Pink Memories

"Commander, Chief Engineer Annie has arrived," Secretary Officer Lilith reminded from the side.

The bridge's light door slid open, and Annie walked in with cheerful steps.

"Commander," Annie approached Zhao Chen, saluted him, and blinked her watery eyes as she looked at him.

"Annie, I have three starship construction plans here. Take a look first.

Then, draft our production and manufacturing plan for the next three months," Zhao Chen said.

"Three more?" Annie was startled, eyeing Zhao Chen suspiciously. "They're not all T3 Level, are they?"

Zhao Chen shook his head.

Annie breathed a sigh of relief, patting her chest. "I thought you'd brought out three more T3 interstellar warships. Good thing they're T2-class starships..."

"One of them is a T4-class interstellar warship," Zhao Chen said.

Annie's expression instantly froze as she stared at the data of the three starships projected before her by the commander.

T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship

T3 Triceratops-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigate

T3 Virgo-class Heavy Interstellar Supply Ship

Annie looked at Commander Zhao Chen with a pained expression, complaining, "Commander... your pace is just too fast.

To build that T4 Revenant-class Clone Starship for you, I had to work overtime and study day and night just to grasp the production data for that starship.

And now you bring out another T4... this... Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship? I've never even heard of it."

"Let's work hard together. If there's anything you don't understand, I'll help you," Zhao Chen said.

Annie crossed her arms, wearing an expression of utter disbelief. "Commander, I might believe you about other things, but this? Do you think Annie is stupid?

Every time you say you'll help, you end up being a hands-off boss.

And you always have all sorts of excuses!

In the end, it's always me working overtime to meet the deadlines!"

Uh...

Zhao Chen thought back and realized that was indeed the case.

But most of the time, Zhao Chen truly couldn't spare the time, always playing the role of a "firefighter," going wherever he was needed.

"This time, I promise—I promise that as long as nothing unexpected happens, I will definitely help you complete this construction task!" Zhao Chen vowed earnestly.

"What good is your promise? You're the boss, and we're just the workers..." Annie pouted, looking pitiful.

"The T3 Phoenix's Starship Dining Hall has great food. How about we discuss the upcoming work there? My treat," Zhao Chen said with a smile.

Annie's eyes immediately lit up. "Actually, I'm quite interested in discussing work!"

A few minutes later, Zhao Chen and Annie arrived at the Starship Dining Hall.

Although Annie had participated in the construction of the T3 Phoenix-class Heavy Carrier Starship and was familiar with most areas, this was her first time visiting the operational T3 Phoenix-class Starship Dining Hall.

The entire dining hall environment was on a completely different level, even surpassing the T3 Blizzard's Starship Dining Hall!

Here, there were private dining rooms where you could do your own things, offering ample privacy.

"Welcome to Phoenix One Dining Hall. How may we assist you?"

When Zhao Chen and Annie entered the Starship Dining Hall, a floating screen appeared before each of them, displaying the day's menu.

Here, there was no need to go to a counter to order—everything could be done directly through the interface.

This was a great convenience for Annie.

At that moment, Annie was eagerly browsing the dishes on the screen. She glanced at Commander Zhao Chen and said, "This…"

"Order whatever you like, as long as you don't waste it. It's on me," Zhao Chen replied.

Annie's eyes lit up, and without hesitation, she began tapping away at the screen with such speed that Zhao Chen couldn't even see what she was selecting.

Zhao Chen chose a private booth, as the matters they needed to discuss were relatively confidential.

As soon as Annie approached the seat, it automatically lowered for her. She sat down comfortably, and the seat rose back up.

The surrounding virtual projections could also be customized at will.

After browsing through the options, Annie settled on a "Candy House" theme, enveloping the space in shades of pink.

Zhao Chen looked at the pink table, the pink chairs, and the pink virtual imagery all around him. Why did he feel so uneasy?

If "Pink Memories" started playing now… Zhao Chen felt goosebumps rising.

"First, take a look at this T4 Huiguang-class Interstellar Jump Ship. This starship is extremely important for our Fierce Dragon Fleet at the moment.

We must produce at least one! Of course, if we can produce two, that would be even better," Zhao Chen said.

With two, not only could they execute lightning raids, but they could also return quickly after battles!

Annie began studying the details carefully, and what she saw left her stunned.

"Group Interstellar Jump?" Annie was dumbfounded.

She glanced at Commander Zhao Chen across from her, then back at the technical specifications of this starship. This black technology was truly terrifying.

Although Annie wasn't well-versed in interstellar warfare, she could still recognize the immense impact this starship would have on the battlefield.

"I need to study this in more detail first," Annie said, diving deeper into the information while Zhao Chen guided her like a mentor.

Time passed little by little.

The entire afternoon slipped away.

Annie rubbed her temples. Learning new starship knowledge was quite mentally taxing, and she had only grasped the basic construction requirements—many aspects she had merely skimmed over.

To fully understand it, she would need a lot more time to study.

This made her admire Commander Zhao Chen even more. Although he often slacked off as a hands-off boss, his expertise in this field was truly remarkable.

Based on the information she had gathered so far, Annie drafted a simple construction plan and said, "I've basically understood the construction requirements. The next step is to plan production capacity for the next three months.

Currently, we have six T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships and thirty T2 Hammer-class Heavy Interstellar Industrial Ships.

First, I plan to expand the T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships by adding four more, bringing the total to ten T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships."

Since our original plan to construct the T4 Revenant-class Clone Starship required five T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships to be produced simultaneously, we currently have a severe shortage of T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships.

In the first month, we will utilize all available production capacity to build T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships, completing the expansion plan for four units.

By then, we will have ten T3 Forge-class Heavy Star Industrial Ships at our disposal. Although this number is still not substantial, it will barely meet our construction needs for the first quarter.
