FY Star System, Third Planet
Clan Chief Bagin adjusted his monocular deep-space telescope, looking up at the sky. He quickly spotted the silhouette of the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser.
It hung in the cosmos like a piece of art.
At this moment, his emotions were complex.
Because several days ago, he had received news that the Fire Salamander Tribe chieftain was furious over their defeat on the Third Planet of the FY Star System, especially the loss of a T3 Arkham-class Medium Starship Battleship.
In truth, Clan Chief Bagin had long anticipated retaliation from the Fire Salamander Tribe.
Although he had heard Commander Zhao Chen say he could handle the situation and that they need not worry, the Fire Salamander Tribe had been oppressing them for years. It was impossible not to be concerned.
He had considered fleeing with his people, but this planet had been home to their Dwarf race for centuries. How could they simply abandon it?
Yet, fearing for the safety of his family, he had arranged for some of the Dwarves to depart on interstellar transport ships.
At the very least, that would preserve a spark for their branch of the Dwarf tribes.
"They're here! Fire Salamander Tribe starships!" A Dwarf warrior beside him, also wearing a monocular deep-space telescope, pointed toward a direction in the sky.
Clan Chief Bagin immediately looked over!
Ahead of the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser, a formation of starships appeared. From a distance, they looked tiny, like grains of rice.
But there were easily over a thousand such "grains."
Clan Chief Bagin swallowed hard, his hands involuntarily clenching.
"There are two T3 interstellar warships: one T3 Arkham-class Medium Starship Battleship and one T3 Specter-class Medium Interstellar Destroyer," the Dwarf warrior beside him reported, his voice trembling slightly.
"Approximately... approximately four Fire Salamander Tribe fleets have arrived, nearly fifteen hundred starships in total. Among them, there are close to three hundred T2 starships!"
A sense of despair began to spread among the Dwarves.
They had expected retaliation from the Fire Salamander Tribe, but they never imagined it would come so swiftly or on such a massive scale.
Over fifteen hundred starships!
Although the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser was formidable, a single vessel could hardly withstand a thousand enemy ships.

Zhao Chen sat calmly in the captain's chair, his expression unperturbed as he observed the updated data panel displaying the enemy fleet.
Two T3 interstellar warships: one T3 Arkham-class Medium Starship Battleship and one T3 Specter-class Medium Interstellar Destroyer.
Nearly three hundred T2 starships.
Zhao Chen skimmed over the names, focusing instead on the starship type distribution.
Over two hundred various models of T2 interstellar frigates, more than seventy T2 stellar destroyers, twenty T2 stellar cruisers, five T2 stellar battlecruisers, along with two T2 interstellar battleships and one T2 carrier starship.
The remaining thirteen hundred T1 interstellar warships consisted of a thousand T1 interstellar frigates, two hundred T1 stellar destroyers, fifty T1 stellar cruisers, thirty T1 stellar battlecruisers, and ten T1 interstellar battleships.
Frankly, regardless of their type, these T1-level starships...
To Zhao Chen, it was just a string of numbers.
A captain of a few dozen meters.
Usually, they just patrolled between star systems; if not for the existence of Stargates, they couldn't even traverse interstellar border space, completely lacking the capability for cross-system voyages.
The cannon fodder among cannon fodder starships.
The only real threats were probably those three hundred T2 Starships and two T3 interstellar warships.
"Any news yet?" Zhao Chen asked Secretary Aili beside him.
Secretary Aili replied softly, "They're almost here."
Zhao Chen's lips curved upward, revealing an expectant expression as he looked at Charlotte beside him. "Charlotte, this should count as our Fierce Dragon Fleet's first true fleet-level battle, right?"
Charlotte nodded.
In previous battles of the Fierce Dragon Fleet, the largest engagement involved only six starships—five interstellar frigates and one carrier starship—facing mechanoid starships.
That was barely half-baked at best.
Just then, a communication request came through.
"It's from the flagship of the Fire Salamander Tribe fleet, that T3 Arkham-class Medium Starship Battleship," Secretary Aili mentioned beside him.
Zhao Chen pondered for a moment, then retrieved a black mask from beside him and put it on his face. "We should keep a low profile for now.
Put it through."
"Yes."
A video window appeared before Zhao Chen, showing a lizardman on the other side.
"Which faction sent you?" the Fire Lizard Clan Chief suppressed his anger, glaring at the black-masked man opposite him.
Zhao Chen uttered four words.
"None of your damn business."
The Fire Lizard Clan Chief's lips twitched as he stared at the other party. "Why are you meddling in the affairs of the Dwarf race?"
"Because I damn well feel like it, and I'm happy to," Zhao Chen said mockingly.
The Fire Lizard Clan Chief snorted coldly. "Fine. Since you refuse to disclose your identity and purpose, I won't bother asking.
But you'll pay for what you've done."
"You mean that T3 Arkham-class Medium Starship Battleship of yours? That starship is too weak; I fired a few shots casually, and it couldn't take it?
Where did you buy that starship? It's not very durable. Could it be you got scammed?"
Zhao Chen teased, "I didn't get enough fun earlier. I wonder how your T3 Arkham-class Medium Starship Battleship will fare—how many of my shots it can withstand."
"Your mouth is tough. I'd like to see if your starship is as tough as your mouth.
A mere starship dares to provoke me here!" The Fire Lizard Clan Chief, furious to the point of laughter, stared coldly at the black-masked man as if looking at a corpse.
Zhao Chen burst into laughter at this moment.
His laughter made the Fire Lizard Clan Chief suspicious.
Zhao Chen narrowed his eyes at the other party. "Who told you I only have one starship?"
The Fire Lizard Clan Chief was taken aback, and then urgent reports echoed on his starship bridge.
"Report! The starship radar system at the rear of the fleet has detected an unidentified interstellar fleet appearing behind our fleet!"
The Fire Lizard Clan Chief's face darkened as he glared at the black-masked man. "You were deliberately waiting for me here?"
He had wondered earlier why this T3 interstellar warship was sitting idle here.
Now it seemed it was intentionally waiting for him.
"Correct, but no reward," Zhao Chen chuckled, snapping his fingers as the video window closed.
At the same time, another video window appeared before his eyes.
On the other side was a white-haired wolf girl with silver-white short hair, a pair of white ears, and a scar on her face. Despite the scar, it only enhanced the wolf girl's imposing aura.
"Commander, Bai Xue has been ordered to lead the fleet to provide support. The fleet awaits your command!"
Simultaneously, over a dozen gray-painted starships appeared behind the Fire Lizard Fleet in a perfectly standard carrier battle formation.
T2 Black Rhino-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigates formed the outer defensive perimeter, while at the center were a T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship and a starship that Charlotte and the others had never seen before.
No... actually, they had heard of it from Commander Zhao Chen.
The T2 Lion King-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ship!
Zhao Chen crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes sharp as an eagle's, fixed on the holographic interstellar battlefield image displaying the fifteen hundred starships.
"The hunt can begin now."
