Chapter 93 - active black dragon

Chiron led the Grey Wolf Knights' leader up the wide stone steps carved out by the Ogre slaves. The tall steps forced the short Kobold to use both hands and feet, occasionally needing a strong Centaur to lift him a couple of steps to barely keep up with the Centaur's pace.

In the world of True Dragon's, everything revered grandeur and beauty, and even the mountain-climbing stone steps were wide and tall. This seemingly not-so-tall mountain peak, with just these steps, could make ordinary people hesitate.

By the time they reached the summit, the short Grey Wolf Knights' leader was already crawling on the ground, but this also showed the Kobold's reverence for the True Dragon.

However, Chiron did not see the Red Dragon. The terrace, which served as a gathering and resting place for the True Dragon's, only had a few other young True Dragon squatting on the ground, playing a card game made of stone slabs. The Pixie Raven was still sitting on the Green Dragon's crown, shouting instructions to the Green Dragon on which cards to play.

"Oh, Chiron, why are you here again?" White Dragon camid, who was sitting opposite Chiron, quickly noticed the arrival of the Centaur Warrior's. His face did not show the arrogance and condescension of a True Dragon.

The other young True Dragon's also stopped and turned to look at the Centaur Warrior's and the Grey Wolf Knights, who were lying on the ground, not daring to breathe loudly.

The True Dragon's respected strength. Dragonborne Centaur Chiron and Dragonborn Wolf Sahar were currently the strongest dependents under the True Dragon, so they were treated with relative politeness by these young True Dragon.

"Lord Camid, all great True Dragon's," Chiron bowed to the True Dragon. Although in Chiron's heart, Kalon's status far surpassed these young True Dragon's, a Dragonborne should remain humble in front of the True Dragon. He would not harbor any thoughts of overstepping due to his own power.

"I am here to report some situations discovered a few days ago, which require the True Dragon to make a decision," Chiron said in a deep voice.

"Kalon is still sleeping. I will go wake him up," Camid stood up. In this White True Dragon's mind, the Red Dragon was like his external brain; anything that happened, he would immediately want to inform the Red Dragon.

"Reporting this matter to all True Dragon is the same, there's no need to trouble Lord Camid, besides, do not disturb a sleeping True Dragon!" The Centaur Warrior did not want to disturb the Red Dragon's rest. With his status, deeply trusted by the True Dragon, he could actually directly step onto the Red Dragon's mountain.

"Speak, Chiron, what is it exactly?" The Blue Dragon Dos had been sitting quietly observing the Centaur Warrior's reaction and only now suddenly spoke.

Chiron recounted everything that happened at the edge of the Dragon Territory, then pointed at the Kobold Leader, who was lying on the ground not daring to move, and said, "These Grey Wolf Knights scouts guarded there for two nights before they found some traces."

"Grrr, grrr," the Kobold Knight growled twice before successfully switching to the gradually familiar common language, "Lord True Dragon, we staked out for two nights and finally discovered that hidden beneath those low hills are the Gnoll's nests. These Gnoll's have hollowed out the continuous hills and built interconnected tunnels underground."

"There are so many Gnoll's. We used our fingers and toes to count, and still couldn't figure out how many Gnoll's there are, but there are a lot, and there should be many more Gnoll hidden in the caves who haven't come out yet. We also found some Werebear." The KoboldKnight ended with two variations of Dragon Language.

A glint of wisdom flashed in the Blue Dragon Dos's pupils. He spoke to the Centaur Warrior, "A Gnoll tribe of this scale will definitely produce some Gnoll Spellcasters. Do not be careless. Go, I allow you to launch an attack. The True Dragon will be behind you, defeating and capturing these Gnoll. Those who dare to resist will be trampled into blood and mud."

"Yes, Lord Dos," Centaur Chiron had come for this very reason. He had obtained the True Dragon's permission for conquest, so he lifted the Kobold, whose limbs were sore, and departed.

"Should we tell Kalon about this, Dos? Kalon might get angry when he finds out, after all, he said the current focus is on the forest."

The Black Dragon Rosani stretched out his long neck, looking towards the reddish-brown mountain peak that seemed to be forever steaming with heat and mountain fires.

The Blue Dragon Dos shook his head, and just as he was about to speak, a clear voice rang out.

"Kalon won't be angry about this, he'll only be happy," Green Dragon Antagena looked at the Black Dragon Rosani with disdain in her eyes, and said haughtily, "You fool, Kalon has always distributed the affairs of the territory to each of us True Dragon's. He never cares if his power is divided; he only hopes that we can grow."

"If you continue to be so foolish, you will be left far behind by us, Rosani. At that time, you will be a burden to the Dragon clan. Besides, Kalon only said that the forest is the focus of the True Dragon, and did not explicitly state that we cannot continue to expand on the grassland. As long as we act cautiously and don't make mistakes, it will be fine."

"You, damn Antagena, do you want to fight me?" The Black Dragon Rosani's dark face was almost red with anger. He flared up, baring his fangs and claws at the Green Dragon.

Germott idly swayed his tail, watching the farce before him without saying a word.

Such things were not uncommon among the Chromatic Dragon's. Even in this Dragon clan, which was different from other Dragon clans, the innate nature of these young Chromatic Dragons still existed and was not weakened. They simply had something more than other Chromatic Dragon, rather than something less.

However, he was not optimistic about the Black Dragon Rosani. Among the Chromatic Dragons, although the Green Dragon was not very strong, she could steadily overpower the Black Dragon and White Dragon. Of course, Germott, who was now on the path of atavism, could not be regarded as an ordinary White Dragon.

In the past, the Black Dragon Rosani had been beaten by the Green Dragon quite a few times. It was likely that the Black Dragon Rosani was just momentarily angry and not genuinely asking for a beating.

Indeed, the Green Dragon Antagena also understood that Black Dragon Rosani was just posturing, and merely stared at the Black True Dragon with a lazy, disdainful gaze, flicking her tail.

"Hmph, a good male True Dragon doesn't fight with a female True Dragon," the Black Dragon Rosani sullenly withdrew his roaring face, sat back down, and uttered the famous saying he had learned from the Red Dragon.

"How boring! Why didn't they fight, Rosani? You're not afraid you can't beat Antagena, are you? Go teach Antagena a lesson, I want to see rivers of blood!" Female Red Dragon Klenaya yawned.

Kalon was currently sleeping in his volcanic lair, and she couldn't go to the magma lake, which made her very unhappy. The Red Dragon's combative nature made her unable to resist fanning the flames.

"Hmph, Kalon said that instead of using strength for internal fighting within the True Dragon, it's better to use it for external battles," the Black Dragon Rosani glanced at Klenaya with disdain, stood up, "I'll go check on Chiron and them. I, Rosani, am not like you all when it comes to doing things for the True Dragon; I'm very proactive."
