Chapter 67 - small problems in running the territory

The Dragon clan's clamor did not last too long; in fact, for most Chromatic Dragon, indifference, selfishness, and insatiable greed are their most prominent characteristics.

Although the True Dragon were influenced by Kalon, the internal connections within the Dragon clan were very different from other Chromatic Dragon, but to the outside world, the True Dragon inside were still the evil True Dragon s whose nature was difficult to change.

Just like Germott,if it were other Chromatic Dragon who had seized large territories and become their actual rulers, their greed and ambition would never allow them to easily return the dominion of the territory.

Even if they knew they couldn't defeat Kalon and these True Dragon's, they would still stubbornly try, only to be driven away or rejoin the Dragon clan dejectedly after being defeated.

However, this change is actually a good thing for the Dragon clan. If Chromatic Dragon's could unite like Metal Dragons, even with their chaotic nature and evil reputation, they wouldn't be universally reviled in almost all worlds.

After all, if they had the tradition of 'bringing in the elder when the younger is beaten' like the Metal Dragons, Chromatic Dragon's could commit even more brutal acts.

Kalon was currently squatting at the highest point of the Dragon Nest Mountains, watching the Young Dragon's cheering and soaring over the mountains, re-selecting their nests.

After the last lesson, these Young Dragon's decided to rebuild their nests on the mountaintop so that even if enemies could penetrate the outer defensive perimeter of the Dragon clans's dependents, these True Dragon's would quickly discover them.

Although these Young Dragon's former treasures had been plundered, their freedom was now their greatest treasure.

Moreover, under Gemott's leadership these past few years, those dependents had accumulated a considerable amount of treasure for the True Dragon's treasury.

This was what surprised Kalon the most, because Germott had actually taken the initiative to hand over ownership of this treasury directly to him—this was not a standard Chromatic Dragon!

"Kalon, all the treasures accumulated over the past few years are in the cave; that is the Dragon clan's treasury, and it should be managed by you!"

The White Dragon stood beside Kalon. Although Gemott's body had developed and grown after his slumber, White Dragon originally belonged to the thinnest and smallest True Dragon species among the Chromatic Dragon. Compared to the Red Dragon beside him, he looked like a slightly thicker straw.

"You've done very well, my brother," Kalon said, looking at the White Dragon beside him. The inherent indifference in his vertical pupils was tinged with a gentle warmth. He sniffed his nose and said, somewhat surprised, "Gemott, your scent has changed; you're somewhat different from before."

The White Dragon bared his mouth, revealing fangs that were longer and more slender than the Red Dragon's. "Kalon, I always remember your words, following in your footsteps to become stronger."

"And I feel clearer than ever before. Now I can control my desires, rather than letting simple desires control me. Perhaps in the future, you can call me Gemott the intelligent ."

Kalon shook his head, which had grown even more ferocious after his bloodline evolution and was almost half a size larger than the White Dragon's. He said, "I prefer what those humans call you - White King Gemott. This is the praise and honor you deserve."

The White Dragon knew that Kalon was not a narrow-minded True Dragon, at least within the Dragon clan, but Gemot still didn't believe he could bear such a title; he was just a Young Dragon.

In the eyes of True Dragon's, whether it was a Metal Dragon, Chromatic Dragon, or any other types of True Dragon, a True Dragon crowned with the title of King must possess power far exceeding other ordinary True Dragon's.

So the White Dragon shook his head. He looked at the Red Dragon's sturdy, envy-inducing physique and said, "There can only be one King in the Dragon clan, and that King can only be you."

"Kalon, if I dared to take on this title, not only would the other True Dragon's in the Dragon clan not be convinced, but even other True Dragon's would come to trouble us."

After this lesson and his conversation with the mage, Kalon had the idea of gathering those Chromatic Dragon's who fought individually.

As long as these Chromatic Dragon's learned to band together, the power they possessed would not only be enough for self-preservation but also enable them to establish a powerful monster kingdom.

At that time, the title of a White King would be nothing.

However, the True Dragon's current strength is not enough to accomplish this. The most important thing now is to manage the current Dragon Clan Territory well and not be careless again, as before. Learn from past mistakes.

"Yes, we still need to accumulate strength," Kalon stood up, spread his broad wings, and flew downwards.

The territory and dependents were still waiting for his inspection. After being away for so long, he should also take a good look at what changes had occurred in the territory.

The White Dragon also habitually followed the Red Dragon, soaring into the sky.

Whoosh, the White True Dragon heard the wind and turned to look behind him.

The Young Dragon who were still choosing nesting sites on the mountaintop had all followed, spontaneously forming the hunting formation they used as Young Dragon.

However, this time it was not for hunting, but to follow Kalon on a new inspection of this land.

These True Dragon's were no longer the Young Dragon's they once were; the True Dragon's, having grown into Young Dragon's, were a formidable force in this land.

And as the gradually growing True Dragon's wide wings once again cast vast shadows over the creatures living in this land, all creatures on this land would know that their former ruler had returned.

The grassland was still boundless, lakes were scattered like stars, plants were vibrant, and animals ran joyfully.

However, when Kalon descended again before the big tree that used to be Anna's habitat, the female leopard was no longer to be found.

Instead, the two cubs that the female leopard Anna had once given birth to had now grown into top predators in this area. This was certainly due to the leopard's borrowed True Dragon prestige, but it also demonstrated the twins' strength.

Perhaps due to frequent exposure to the True Dragon's aura, these two leopards had undergone some degree of mutation.

Not only were their physiques larger than normal for their kind, but even their animal pupils carried an exceptionally spiritual glow.

However, perhaps it was because Kalon had been away for too long, or because Kalon's appearance and aura had changed.

Although these two leopards, who were resting under the tree, did not flee frantically like other wild beasts upon seeing the True Dragon's arrival, they no longer liked to crawl over and roll on their bellies at Kalon's feet as before.

They just lay lazily under the tree, gazing at these massive True Dragon.

Kalon had no excessive emotional fluctuations; birth, old age, sickness, and death are an unavoidable part of life for ordinary creatures. He came here simply out of habit.

He led the Dragon clan back into the air. During his inspection, he discovered a small problem regarding the defense of the Dragon Nest Mountains.

This should be resolved promptly. In his current mind, his and the Dragon clan's safety should be prioritized.
