Chapter 56 - Guard

Akzi and Germott lay in what was once a paradise for Young Dragons, chewing on fruits.

Thanks to ample moisture and sunlight, these diverse fruits were brimming with sugar and juice, making them the two Dragon Clans' favorite after-meal dessert.

The two true Dragon's each lay under their favorite fruit tree; if they wanted to eat fruit, they would use their long, powerful tails to shake the tree, then open their mouths and wait for the falling fruit to drop into their mouths.

This was actually very inefficient, but it was very consistent with the behavior of these lazy Giant Monsters.

During this time, Germot's body developed much faster; with ample food supply, his body length had already reached over five meters, only his broken tail had not grown back.

His entire body, covered in fine white scales, also gained many scratches, and there was an unhealed scar on his cheek, which was covered in white thorns, making him look like a qualified warrior.

The same was true for the Blue Dragon Akzi, who had many new scars on his body, and his blue scales showed signs of wear everywhere.

However, the Young Blue Dragon was much stronger than the young White Dragon, so he had far fewer scars.

During this time, without Carlit's intimidating aura and the Dragon Clan's patrols, even with the presence of the Young Dragon Akzi, the Dragon Nest territory welcomed many monsters and magical beasts' prying and attacks.

No one would refuse to possess more fertile territory, and a Young Dragon, plus a Young Dragon were not qualified to walk freely in this vast wilderness.

Even the original Carlit only hunkered down within her territory, with no thought of expansion.

And Germott also grew rapidly in these continuous battles; with the help of Akzi and the Centaur Tribe and Ogre slave warriors, he repelled many monsters that came to spy, successfully defending the former Dragon Nest Mountains.

However, because the Dragon Clan's territory is now composed of the original territory plus the Centaur Tribe and Ogre Tribe's territories, it has far exceeded the two Dragon Clans' management limit.

Therefore, Germott and Akzi had no choice but to abandon a portion of their territory and switch to a full contraction state.

Even so, the expanded territory still left the two Dragon Clans feeling overwhelmed, and the declining Ogre Tribe was also coveted.

As for that slave Giant ogre, Germott and Akzi did not trust her.

The sweet juice of the fruit burst in the young White Dragon's mouth; Germott was so intoxicated by the sweet taste that he wagged his tail, shaking his head.

Suddenly, a green light flashed through the forest; the young White Dragon's excellent dynamic vision captured the appearance of this light, and he immediately shouted, "Raven?"

Germott and Akzi squatted, looking at a red scale in the Pixie's hand, which carried Kalon's aura; this was a scale that the Red Dragon had voluntarily shed as a token for Raven to gain Germott and Akzi's trust.

Actually, Raven didn't need to bring the Red Dragon's scale; although the other Young Dragons didn't feel anything towards the Pixie.

But she was Kalon's friend, and Kalon's friend was the Dragon Clan's friend; this was the youngWhite Dragon's thought.

"Is this Kalon's intention, to make us give up the Dragon Clan's territory, not only to protect the incoming humans from the disturbance and threat of those monsters but also to help them develop here?"

Blue Dragon Akzi clearly didn't quite believe the Pixie's words, perhaps he was somewhat unwilling to believe.

True Dragon's are naturally greedy creatures; in these days, the various precious gems dug out by those kobold dependents in the mines alone could easily cover the floor of Akzi's former cave.

Now, not only do they have to give up these things, but they also have to hand over the Dragon Clan's territory to those humans; this is something Akzi cannot tolerate.

"No, no," Raven's almost transparent wings flapped, hovering in front of the White Dragon Clan, "Kalon said it's just temporarily giving these humans a space to develop."

"And it's only giving up the Ogre's territory; for other places, just don't disturb these humans, and this will also be useful for building the Dragon Clan's territory."

Germot nodded, "This indeed sounds like something Kalon would say; I believe you, Raven."

"Oh, and Kalon also said to pay attention to those humans; if they are artisans among the humans and those who understand construction and various technologies, don't let them leave once they arrive in the Dragon Clan's territory; these people are very useful," the Pixie quickly added.

"Mm, I understand," the young White Dragon nodded; he actually spoke words of thanks to the Little pixie , extending a claw to pluck his favorite orange from the tree and giving it to the Little pixie.

"Thank you, Raven; if it weren't for you, I wouldn't know about Kalon and their situation."

"We are friends, Germott," the Little pixie Raven patted her chest with a great sense of accomplishment, then picked up the plump fruit; Riven was ready to leave.

She bid farewell to Germott and Akzi, "I'm leaving now, to tell Kalon this good news; the magic portal that a wizard set up for me has a time limit, I have to go back quickly."

The Blue Dragon watched the Little pixie's flickering figure disappear into the forest, then turned to the White Dragon Clan, "Are we really going to give all these things to those humans as she said? Maybe we can find a better way to rescue Kalon and them."

The Blue Dragon was clearly still somewhat dominated by his greed; he was reluctant to part with the rich mineral veins and resources on this land.

The young White Dragon stood up, his growing body gradually revealing a strong and capable aura, and the fine scratches covering his body spoke of the young White Dragon's growth.

He gave the Blue Dragon a displeased look, then said in a serious tone, "Akzi, don't be so shortsighted; the territory exists for the Dragon Clan, as long as Kalon and them can return from the human empire as soon as possible, I will spare no effort, no matter the cost."

"Is such a small piece of territory enough to make you reluctant? As long as Kalon and them can return, we can conquer more territory, possess richer and vaster lands; the Dragon Clan's power is far greater than the power of only us two true Dragon's."

The young White Dragon was now far more mature than a normal Young Dragon; a smile suddenly appeared on his cheek, which was covered in white thorns, as he teased the Young Blue Dragon,

"Akzi, don't let Kalon know you're so shortsighted, otherwise he'll call you an idiot whose head was squeezed by his butt, and you know, Kalon's cursing is very vulgar; you wouldn't want to hear him point at your nose and curse you all day, would you?"

Phew, the Blue Dragon exhaled, and fine lightning streaked through the air; he saw the shadow of that specific Red Dragon on this young White Dragon , the appearance of the Dragon Clan's king, who led the Dragon Clan.

He nodded, "You're right, Germott, I will fully assist you, only for Kalon and them to return to this land as soon as possible."

The young White Dragon looked up at the sun directly overhead; the dazzling sunlight could not block the shining light in the young White Dragon's eyes, and his tone was firm, "I will also guard this land until Kalon returns!"
