Vee stared at the magnificent creature standing before him.

Vee slowly raised his hand.
Then—
Pat.
He patted its head.
The entire Bloodline Realm went silent.
Everyone stared.
Professor Selene's eyes widened.
Leon nearly fell over.
Kai's expression actually changed.
"HE JUST PATTED IT?!"
Vee looked at them.
"What?"
Leon pointed at the enormous creature.
"THAT THING IS BIGGER THAN A HOUSE!"
Vee patted its head again.
"And?"
The creature lowered its head slightly, seemingly enjoying the attention.
Vee smiled.
"Good boy."
The creature's golden eyes glowed brighter.
Professor Selene's mouth opened slightly.
"A creature of that level... allowing someone to touch it..."
She couldn't finish her sentence.
The system suddenly appeared before Vee.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION]
[The unknown legendary bloodline entity has accepted the Host.]
[Bloodline recognition has begun.]
Vee's smile disappeared.
"So... what exactly are you?"
The creature didn't answer.
Instead, it released a soft rumbling sound.
Then—
BOOOOOOM!
A massive wave of golden energy spread across the Bloodline Realm.
The ground shook.
The sky turned gold.
Every creature in the realm lowered its head.
Vee's body began glowing.
Darkness and Light mana appeared around him simultaneously.
The two opposing energies swirled together without clashing.
Professor Selene stepped backward.
"Everyone, stay calm!"
The students stared in amazement.
"His mana..."
"It's both Light and Darkness!"
"What's happening to him?"
Vee looked down at his hands.
"Uh..."
He swallowed.
"Is this supposed to happen?"
Leon shouted.
"YOU'RE ASKING US?!"
Suddenly—
ROOOOOOAR!
A tremendous roar echoed across the Bloodline Realm.
Everyone turned around.
A massive dragon descended from the clouds.
Its body was covered in dark blue scales.
Four enormous wings spread across the sky.
Lightning crackled around its horns.
Its golden eyes scanned the students.
Then it looked toward—
Kai.
Kai's eyes narrowed.
The dragon slowly descended.
BOOM!
It landed directly in front of him.
Kai didn't move.
The dragon lowered its enormous head.
Kai stared at it.
"...Me?"
The dragon roared.
Lightning exploded into the sky.
Professor Selene immediately recognized the sign.
"A dragon..."
Everyone gasped.
"A DRAGON?!"
The dragon opened its mouth.
A powerful stream of lightning rushed into Kai's body.
KRAAAAK!
Kai's hair lifted from the electrical energy.
His eyes glowed.
The system appeared.
[Bloodline compatibility detected.]
[Ancient Dragon Bloodline recognized.]
[Bloodline awakening commencing.]
Kai clenched his fists.
Lightning erupted around his body.
Vee stared at him.
Then he smiled.
"Looks like you finally got yourself a pet."
Kai slowly looked at him.
"It's not a pet."
Vee nodded seriously.
"Of course."
The dragon growled behind Kai.
Vee pointed at it.
"Your very large, extremely dangerous pet."
Kai sighed.
"I'm going to kill you."
Vee laughed.
"See? That's exactly what a jealous pet owner would say."
Leon burst out laughing.
Even Aurelia covered her mouth, trying not to laugh.
Kai's eye twitched.
Professor Selene raised her voice.
"ENOUGH!"
Everyone became quiet.
She looked at Kai.
Then at the dragon.
"This is extraordinary."
She turned toward Vee.
"And whatever chose you..."
Her expression became serious.
"...is something far beyond what we understand."
Vee looked at the magnificent creature beside him.
It lowered its head once again.
Vee placed his hand on its forehead.
Golden light surrounded them.
The system appeared one more time.
[Bloodline awakening: 7%]
[Unknown bloodline detected.]
[Original timeline deviation: EXTREME.]
Vee's eyes widened.
So this thing really wasn't supposed to exist.
He looked at Kai.
Kai stood beside the enormous dragon, lightning dancing across his body.
Two impossible bloodlines had appeared.
And neither of them existed in the original story like this.
Vee smiled.
I really messed up the novel.
Then he looked at the dragon beside Kai.
"Hey, Kai."
"What?"
"Can your dragon fly?"
Kai stared at him.
"Obviously."
Vee nodded.
"Good."
Kai frowned.
"Why?"
Vee smiled.
"Because mine looks like it can carry me."
Kai's face went blank.
"..."
Leon immediately shouted—
"HE'S ALREADY PLANNING TO USE THE DRAGON AS TRANSPORTATION!"
The Bloodline Realm erupted with laughter.
Even the mysterious creature beside Vee made a strange rumbling sound.
Almost like it was laughing too.
