Indeever's POV
A cold sweat broke out as the voice said that.
"LEAVE NOW! You don't have a place in this world!", the voice continued, " You are not supposed to know that powers exist!"
I immediately threw out my AirPods on hearing that screaming and curled up, covering my face with my elbows as Aarush ran towards me and asked me what was my problem.
Just then every one came into the living room except Aarush's grandfather, who went out to meet his friend earlier who lives in Jharkhand.
Aarush made them not to worry about me and he would handle me.
They left to the kitchen work and to gossips.
"There's someone in my AirPods." My voice trembled as Aarush leaned in, " It told me to leave the house immediately."
Aarush immediately went to the AirPods and listened to it.
I slowly walked up to him.
He looked up at the stairs, a bit mad. I followed his gaze and there was no one on it.
"Look, here" Aarush sighed, " There is no voice in this AirPods, except for the music." He hands me the AirPods and forces me to listen to it.
It did indeed play music.
Aarush went upstairs after that as Srimayi stood behind me, "Starnge thing is that Aarush Anna was looking towards the memorial."
That — startled my soul so much that it was holding on its dear life!
Srimayi taps my arm, pointing at the memorial, " Look Aarush Anna is heading towards the memorial. The whole Das family is hiding a secret from us and Aarush Anna's grandfather."
"Yea." I shrugged.
"Give me your AirPods." Srimayi stretched her hand out, "I has been acting strangely, asking you to leave this house, right? I wanna hear it."
I gave it to her hesitantly as she is a child. What if it threatens to kill her? I can't risk her safety as in the little amount of time she has become like a sister to me.
She snatched it from my hand and listens to it.
Srimayi's POV
" Hi!" The voice started, " your name what is it?"
My brows furrowed, lips pressed, " Srimayi." I looked around, " Why'd you want my name mister— voice?"
" Normally," the voice replied.
The voice took a deep breath "Bhai re!", the voice paused as if it realised something, slowly exhaling, "Face to face dekhile, shock lagila!"
"What do you mean!?" I looked around frantic, hoping to see him.
"Don't try to even look for me." The voice sighed, " I won't be spotted anywhere."
I immediately took out the AirPods and handed it to Indeever who was with Kriday, Sharu Akka, Karthika and Mriganka gossiping.
Just then, Aarush, came out of the memorial with a boy who was wearing a black denim Cargo, a Mahogany hoodie who looks like he is 16 years old.
Strangely— he was using Viraansh's glasses.
Aarush stood near the stairs with that boy as Thanu auntie came out of the kitchen.
She looked at that boy, "Tejesh! How did you come in the house without my or my husband's permission?"
That boy looks at her in a 'I messed up' look, "Sorry, Maa! I missed Viraansh very badly so I snuck into this room."
He called her—Maa?
Aarush called all of our gang upstairs to the memorial.
We entered the memorial as Aarush stood near Viraansh's hanging shirt while that Tejesh guy sits on the chair beside the window looking at the floor with fidgeting fingers as if he was deep in thought.
Aarudhra turned back on seeing the Echoes of Dharma, Me, Indeever and Shyamkeerti .
We left the twins downstairs as they wanted to help with the cooking.
I just know that my mom is gonna scold me and Keerthi to learn from them on how to help elders.
"Well," Aarush walks towards Tejesh, " This is Viraansh's friend Tejesh and he has tech manipulation."
Aarush introduces everyone one to him individually .
"So this is Indeever." Aarush points at Indeever who awkwardly waves to Tejesh. Aarush leans in, " He doesn't have powers but he definitely has a thing for Karthika." He smirked looking at Indeever whose eyes scream, 'why are you telling him that!'
"I think he gets scared easily like a cat, by unusual things, right?" Tejesh started.
Aarush nodded, he points to me and as he was about to speak, Tejesh looks at me as if his heart was in his throat , " She is Srimayi, right?"
How did he know my name?— Wait! Is he the voice in the AirPods?
"Assuming that you know my name, you scared the shit out of Indeever and asked my name and muttered something in Odia about me right?" I snapped at him.
Indeever looked at me and Tejesh as he realised what had happened.
"Wow!" He chuckled, "You are a literal detective! I teased Indeever Bhai as I was bored in the memorial and you entered the scene."
I asked him what he had muttered in Odia by repeating it to him and Aarush immediately hit him on his head hearing that, pulling his ear, "Is that how you talk to a girl!?"
He whined in pain and said that he will not repeat it again.
I asked Aarush it's meaning and he replied that it means that he will be shocked if he sees me face to face.
What an idiot!
Then Indeever stepped forward, " Are you Viraansh?" The leans in , " You called Thanu auntie Maa." He grabbed his shirt. "Not only that, you are wearing his glasses."
Tejesh bends back due to Indeever leaning towards him,"Geez bro~" Tejesh looks at him as he said a digusting comment,threw Indeever's hand, " Firstly he stole the glasses from me as a revenge a week ago as I pranked him and I happened to notice it here," he stands upright, "And, secondly, I spend a lot of my time here rather than home so I became like a third son to the Das family."
The reasoning sounds very convincing as very close friends behave like that and I think that it's the truth.
We were called to have lunch.
Later we had a nap for some time and set off to Kakinada with that idiot Tejesh tagging with Aarush.
