"Melissa, sorry, but can you go pick up All Might at the park square?"
I-Island, school dorm room.
Melissa had just woken up when she got this text from her dad, David.
"Oh no, I totally forgot Uncle Might was coming today!"
Seeing the message on her phone, she gasped.
She quickly pulled up Arthur's contact info and sent message:
"Sorry, Aruthur, I have to go get Uncle Might today. You're his student too, want to come?"
After hitting send, Melissa immediately started getting ready.
She put on the same school uniform as yesterday, grabbed her phone, and hurried out.
Ding!
Feeling her phone buzz in her bag, Melissa pulled it out to check:
"No."
That was it. Just one word.
Melissa pouted a little but didn't have time to respond. She ran toward the park square.
I-Island, Park Square.
"Ah ha ha ha ha! My fans are as energetic as ever!"
All Might was in his muscle form and hero suit, hands on his hips, laughing.
The lipstick marks on his face showed what he'd just been through.
Next to him, Izuku Midoriya stood hunched over, out of breath. The crowd of All Might fans had really worn him out.
"Oh, All Might, you came to I-Island to find someone, right?"
Once he caught his breath, Izuku straightened up and asked.
"Yeah, an old friend of mine. Da..."
"Uncle Might!"
Before All Might could finish, an energetic girl's voice called out from nearby.
Both of them turned to look.
Melissa jumped over some steps and jogged over.
"Oh ho! Melissa, you're here!"
All Might laughed and walked toward her.
'This is All Might's friend? She's way too young', Izuku thought in disbelief.
Especially when he saw her face. Being as inexperienced as he was, he couldn't help but blush.
"You are..."
Melissa had been excitedly talking with All Might for a bit before finally noticing Izuku. She tilted her head curiously.
" H-hi! I'm All Might's student, Izuku Midoriya!"
Izuku stood at attention, nervous.
"Uncle Might's student? That's impressive."
Melissa covered her mouth lightly.
"I-it's nothing!"
Izuku's face got even redder.
"Hahaha, Melissa, let's go see David,"
All Might's expression turned more serious mid-sentence. "I need to ask him about that thing."
He meant the bullet that could erase Quirks.
Melissa understood how serious it was. She nodded and led them to David's lab.
After greeting All Might, David said, "Melissa, why don't you show Midoriya around outside? I still need to talk with All Might."
"Uh... okay, sure."
Melissa hesitated but agreed.
She'd been guiding All Might and Izuku this whole time and hadn't contacted Arthur yet.
After they left, All Might immediately dropped to one knee, reverting to his usual skinny form.
"Sorry. Good thing you got Melissa out of there. If she saw this... cough cough cough!!"
He started coughing hard.
David looked worried. "I heard your body was getting worse, but I didn't think it was this bad."
"I'm fine,"
All Might forced himself to stand and said seriously, "Anyway, David, how's the research on that bullet going?"
David's expression turned grim. "I've made a lot of progress. It's insane. It actually contains three different Quirks."
All Might's eyes widened. "Three Quirks?!"
"Come on, I'll explain in detail."
They walked into the dimly lit lab.
David stood in front of the massive computer and keyboard, quickly typing on the holographic keys, then pointed at the screen. "Look."
All Might stepped closer. David explained, "This bullet is built on a terrifying Quirk that returns things to their original state, combined with another Quirk that can break down and reorganize matter,
and a third Quirk I haven't fully researched yet as a support. All together, they make a bullet that can erase a person's Quirk."
"But it can't fully erase Quirks yet. I think whoever's developing this will soon have a complete version. And then the consequences will be unthinkable."
David's voice trembled slightly.
All Might's face was also serious.
He had a bad feeling. Could those three unknown Quirks be... All For One?
If so, this was the worst possible outcome.
If that bullet got fully completed... who were they planning to use it on?
Himself? Arthur? Or... Izuku Midoriya?
On the crowded main street of the I-Island Carnival.
Izuku felt really awkward because Melissa had been on her phone the whole time and barely talked to him.
After a while, Melissa finally seemed done. She suddenly realized and gave him an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I was busy sending messages and didn't get to show you around the island."
"N-no problem at all!"
Izuku waved his hands frantically.
"Actually, I was planning to invite my boyfriend to come hang out with me, but he's on a mission for the Hero Association and seems really busy. But luckily, it looks like he can make it to tonight's Carnival party."
Melissa smiled warmly.
The kind of smile a girl in love has.
"B-boyfriend, huh..."
Any guy, hearing a pretty girl has a boyfriend, feels some kind of way.
Izuku was no exception.
"Hey! Midoriya! You're here too!?"
A surprised girl's voice called out.
Izuku turned to look.
Ochaco Uraraka, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Kyoka Jiro.
