Time moved into the late night.
Arthur had already boarded the plane to I-Island and closed his eyes, half asleep.
At the same time, on one side of Hosu City, Izuku Midoriya, Tenya Iida, and Shoto Todoroki were desperately fighting the Hero Killer, Stain.
After getting Midoriya's location message, only Todoroki showed up in time.
After a brutal fight, the three barely managed to repel Stain.
But just as the low-level Nomu released by the League of Villains was about to attack Midoriya, one of the League's main targetsno , one expected that the one who saved Midoriya was none other than Stain, who was almost under police control.
It played out exactly like in the original story.
Under the cameras of a TV news crew, after Stain shouted his shocking declaration, he was finally arrested and taken into custody.
Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida were also sent to a hospital ward in Hosu City with help from pro heroes like Endeavor.
And they didn't notice.
On the rooftop of a tall building in Hosu City, Shigaraki Tomura was holding binoculars. He spoke with a fierce aura. "Let's go back, Kurogiri."
Kurogiri stayed quiet, just opened a Warp Gate and left with Shigaraki.
The reporter on the distant helicopter rubbed his eyes afterward, thinking he had just imagined it.
Early the next morning.
In a gloomy underground bar.
"Regarding this villain who may go down in criminal history, the Hero Killer Stain, our station will continue to follow up with reports."
Beep!
After pressing the remote to turn off the TV, Shigaraki Tomura crumpled up the newspaper next to him, whose headline matched exactly what the anchor had just said and angrily threw it into a corner.
"One after another, it's all Stain, Stain, Stain! In the end, the League of Villains just became that guy's sidekick! Damn it, damn it!"
Shigaraki Tomura, as always, acted like a baby, radiating his usual inexplicable hostility.
He had originally planned to use the newly produced Nomu to make the League of Villains famous again.
Because ever since the U.A. Sports Festival, all the major headlines and public attention had been focused on Arthur.
"The strongest Quirk in history!"
"The new star most likely to surpass All Might!"
"A Quirk that can stop time is an ability that can change the world!"
"Should such a dangerous Quirk even exist?"
This kind of news, all about the bastard who had humiliated him during the USJ Incident, kept coming nonstop, and it was driving Shigaraki Tomura crazy.
That's why he wanted to use Stain and the new Nomu to cause panic again and shift attention to the League of Villains.
But it backfired.
Not only did society's attention not shift to the League of Villains, but it all got sucked up by Stain.
The more Shigaraki thought about it, the angrier he got. He was about to start throwing things like a spoiled brat.
Thump, thump.
Just then, a knock came.
"Who is it? Come in!"
Shigaraki shouted impatiently.
"Such a temper, Mr. Shigaraki~"
The newcomer had a mischievous smile, wore a purple suit, and was missing a front tooth. It was Giran, the underworld broker who had worked with Arthur before.
"Mr. Giran, is there news from the Shie Hassaikai?"
Unlike Shigaraki's attitude, Kurogiri spoke politely.
"Yeah..."
Giran lit a cigarette and blew out smoke. "They asked me to tell you that they've finished the full version of 'that thing.'"
Hearing that, both Shigaraki and Kurogiri's expressions changed dramatically.
"It's done?"
Even though this was the plan all along, hearing it in person still shocked them.
"Yeah, so they asked me to let you know to bring the money for an inspection. Only one person can go."
Giran raised a finger. "But from what they told me, it seems there's only one finished product. Not sure if that's true or not."
Shigaraki stood up immediately and said coldly, "I'll go myself."
A sharp glint flashed in Giran's eyes. "Oh? Mr. Shigaraki is pretty impatient, huh?"
Shigaraki thought back to the scene of being humiliated by Arthur during the USJ Incident. He gritted his teeth and said resentfully, "That guy... that guy who keeps getting in my way... I'm going to erase his Quirk for good!"
Kurogiri bowed slightly.
The Quirk currently hailed as the strongest in the world, Arthur's "The World" was extremely threatening.
Originally, the best method was to capture Arthur. But with the League of Villains current strength, that was probably impossible.
So the best solution was to erase it.
Therefore, under All For One's orders, the League of Villains, led by Shigaraki, had temporarily cooperated with Chisaki Kai of the Shie Hassaikai.
Using All For One's ability to absorb other people's Quirks, they developed special bullets that could permanently erase Quirks.
And now, the completed version was finally ready.
Arthur's "The World" was their first test target.
"Only one person? Isn't that a bit dangerous, Shigaraki?"
Kurogiri said with some concern.
"I don't think that guy would dare pull anything!"
Shigaraki shot back coldly.
Then Shigaraki asked Giran, "Where is that bastard now?"
Giran paused for two seconds, then understood and smiled. "Oh, Arthur? He boarded a plane last night heading to I-Island. He should be just about there by now."
"I-Island?"
Shigaraki frowned.
Kurogiri explained, "Unlike Japan, it's a man-made island where Quirks can be used freely. They research Quirks and combat suits there."
"Whatever. At least we know where he is."
Shigaraki walked out the door with his hands in his pockets. "I'm going to see those guys."
Giran shrugged and looked at Kurogiri. "Mr. Kurogiri, please don't leak that I helped you track Arthur. Otherwise... I'm afraid he'll kill me."
Kurogiri nodded. "Yes, of course."
