Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 - Who Dares Accuse This Official?

After a quick look at the contents, Caelus handed the file to Dan Heng.

Dan Heng and March 7th quickly reviewed the document. Dan Heng then used his phone to record the research station's coordinates and import them into his map for easier navigation later.

"No time to waste. Should we go seal the Stellaron now?" Dan Heng put his phone away and sought Caelus's opinion.

Caelus hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. "I can't get away right now. There are still many things to arrange after I take over as Supreme Guardian. After all, saving a planet isn't something you can solve by swinging a baseball bat a few times."

Dan Heng thought so too. Merely sealing the Stellaron would only halt the intensification of the Eternal Freeze; it wouldn't immediately improve Belobog's current situation. Caelus's plan to save the city was the real priority.

"How about this," Cocolia suggested from the side. "After Mr. Caelus takes over, I can arrange for Silvermane Guards to accompany you to the research station, Mr. Dan Heng. Having guards to lead the way and provide assistance will make things much more convenient."

"That works." Dan Heng nodded. Since their opponent was a Stellaron, it was best to be cautious. In any case, it had only been a short time since they arrived on Jarilo-VI. Waiting a little longer wouldn't hurt.

Next, the group discussed the matter of the succession.

"Cocolia, how long will the preparations for the succession ceremony take?"

Cocolia did a quick mental calculation. "We can have it done by this afternoon at the earliest. Don't worry, I'll handle the ceremony preparations. You, however, will need to prepare a speech for the stage."

"No problem. I'm thick-skinned. Don't worry about me getting stage fright."

Caelus was quite confident about this. He had already drafted a speech in his head, just waiting for the chance to deliver it.

Seeing Caelus's confidence, Cocolia dismissed the idea of preparing a speech for him.

"Shall I go and make the preparations now?"

"Yes." Caelus nodded. "I'll leave it to you."

Just as Cocolia was about to leave, she stopped and turned to look at March 7th, Dan Heng, and the still-catatonic Bronya on the sofa.

March 7th felt a little awkward being stared at so intently by Cocolia and fidgeted slightly. "Why are you suddenly staring at me?"

Cocolia carefully looked the two of them up and down before speaking with great seriousness. "Miss March and Mr. Dan Heng, the upcoming succession ceremony needs to be known by all the citizens of Belobog. At that time, everyone will need to understand what kind of people the Nameless are. First impressions are very important. Although your current attire is quite nice, it lacks a certain solemnity. Why don't you come with me, and I'll have someone put together an outfit for you?"

Dan Heng immediately shook his head in refusal. "My apologies. I am the guard of the Astral Express. I am accustomed to wearing this, as it allows me to engage in combat at any time. I must decline."

The reason was perfectly valid, so Cocolia didn't press him further. Instead, she turned to March 7th and Bronya. "Then how about you two come with me to change into something else? It is a very important ceremony, after all."

"Huh? I have to change too?" they both exclaimed.

Bronya, who had yet to process the deluge of information from earlier, instinctively repeated the question.

March 7th's face flushed slightly as she said hesitantly, "We don't really need to, do we?"

At this, Caelus sat up straight and said with great earnestness, "March, you're one of the only two beauties on our train. Don't I need you to prop up the scene for me?"

Being suddenly praised by Caelus like this, March's heart blossomed with joy, and she couldn't help but break into a small smile.

"Alright, fine! I'll help you out this one time!"

Seeing that March had agreed, Cocolia took her to leave, grabbing the still-reluctant Bronya on her way out.

"Wait… why do I have to go change too!"

Bronya, protesting to no avail, was dragged away by Cocolia.

The once-lively office was suddenly left with only Caelus, Dan Heng, and Natasha, who had been acting as a background prop the whole time.

Seeing that most of the group had left, Natasha finally found an opportunity to speak to Caelus.

"Mr. Caelus, how do you plan to save Belobog?"

Regarding food, she had personally witnessed Caelus produce a crop with an astonishing yield last night. But food alone was not enough to save Belobog.

"Naturally, I'll start with resources." Caelus replied, his mind already formulating the next steps.

First were the most crucial components: an iron farm and a string farm. Since Cocolia could be identified as a villager, he assumed the other people of Belobog could be as well. Combined with his Corrupted Torch, all he needed to do was search all over Belobog's containers for a name tag, then capture a few zombies, and the iron farm would be halfway complete.

With iron as a basic industrial resource, many aspects of Belobog could develop rapidly.

The string farm was even simpler. The key was string, and he had gotten some from killing spiders last night. It wasn't much, but it was enough to build one farm. Once he had a string farm, he would have a limitless supply of string.

String was a great resource. Not only could it be used to craft wool, but it could also be used for various other items. The workers of Belobog could process it, creating even more uses for it.

Caelus raised his head and looked at Natasha. "Natasha, as the leader of Wildfire, you should be able to command the people of the Underworld, right?"

Natasha looked at Caelus with some surprise. She had always kept her identity well hidden, but she hadn't expected Caelus to see through her at a glance.

Dan Heng, however, wasn't surprised at all. Even an enigmatic figure like Sampo of the Masked Fools had been doxxed by Caelus at their first meeting. It was perfectly normal for a leader of Wildfire to be exposed as well.

After a brief moment of surprise, Natasha nodded. "Yes. Although the residents of the Underworld dislike the Supreme Guardian, they will listen to Wildfire's command. What do you need me to do?"

"People. I need lots and lots of people to come work for me. I will provide you with food and various other supplies."

Since he was going to save Jarilo-VI, he couldn't just save the Overworld. The Underworld had to be included. But he wasn't about to hand out unlimited supplies for free. In a post-apocalyptic world like this, a work-for-relief program was the best solution.

"Alright, I understand."

Natasha made a mental note of this, planning to return to the Underworld to recruit people after Caelus officially became the Supreme Guardian.

Just as Caelus was about to explain some of the work details to Natasha, two Silvermane Guards suddenly knocked on the door, escorting a somewhat familiar-looking middle-aged man.

As soon as he entered the room, the middle-aged man started shouting at the top of his lungs.

"Your Excellency, Supreme Guardian, I'm here to file a complaint! A vile scoundrel has swindled me of my property!"

After shouting, the man looked up towards where Cocolia usually sat, only to see a man's silhouette, and a vaguely familiar one at that.

Caelus recognized the visitor instantly. He had to suppress the smile that was creeping onto his face. He raised a hand and slapped the desk.

"Who dares accuse this official in my court?"
