Chapter 52 - Chapter 52 – Three Versions of Sean Sebastian

Snape didn't even bother looking up.

"I assume you're thinking about using time magic."

His voice sounded completely unimpressed.

"But time magic does not affect potion fermentation."

Snape continued calmly while organizing ingredients beside the table.

"Even if you traveled back in time and hid the potion for several years…"

"…the moment you brought it back to the present, the fermentation state would remain unchanged."

Sean opened his mouth instinctively.

Then shut it again.

There was no way he could explain the system training room.

After all, to anyone else, Sean's abilities simply looked like unusual spellwork.

"Understood, Professor."

Sean sighed helplessly.

"Then I'll leave first."

After leaving Snape's office, Sean hurried directly toward the Transfiguration classroom.

The moment the bell rang—

—Sean stepped through the door.

Professor McGonagall looked at him over the rim of her glasses with helpless amusement.

"Take your seat, Mr. Sebastian."

Then she added calmly:

"If even one of your feet had remained outside the classroom when the bell rang, I would've deducted ten points."

Sean grinned shamelessly.

"Thank you for your mercy, Professor."

Then he hurried back to his seat.

Unfortunately for Sean, the rest of the lesson was painfully boring.

Professor McGonagall was teaching material he had already completely mastered.

Halfway through the class, Sean nearly fell asleep.

Only then did he notice something interesting.

The silver snuffbox he had gifted Professor McGonagall earlier now sat proudly on the front corner of her desk.

Clearly, she liked it very much.

That discovery improved Sean's mood slightly.

Still, surviving the entire lesson without collapsing unconscious felt like a miracle after two sleepless nights.

The instant class ended, Sean practically sprinted back toward the dormitory.

Then he immediately entered the training room.

After finding a comfortable place to sit, Sean carefully took out the tiny vial of Felix Felicis.

His eyes glowed with excitement.

"African Miracle Water…"

He stared lovingly at the golden liquid.

"Even if it only lasts five minutes, that should be enough for gambling."

Without another second of hesitation, Sean tilted his head back and drank it.

The moment the potion entered his throat—

—the world suddenly changed.

A warm breeze seemed to brush gently across his face.

His thoughts became strangely clear.

His mood brightened instantly.

It felt as though the entire world had suddenly become friendlier.

"System."

Sean sat upright immediately.

"Open the Spell Analysis Chamber."

The moment he spoke, a glowing virtual screen appeared before him.

At the center floated an enormous magical furnace burning with silver flames.

Beside it were two options:

[Collected Magic: 0]

[Mysterious Spell Fragments: 4]

Sean immediately selected the second option.

[Please choose the number of fragments to insert.]

Normally, Sean would've split the fragments carefully instead of risking everything at once.

But under the effects of Felix Felicis—

—a strange feeling suddenly rose inside him.

Use all four.

The thought echoed continuously inside Sean's mind.

As the former unluckiest man alive, Sean absolutely hated putting everything into one gamble.

Yet somehow…

…his hand still moved.

"Insert all four."

[Melting…]

[Fusing…]

Time passed second by second.

Then minute by minute.

After nearly four full minutes, the system notification finally appeared.

[Congratulations to the host for successfully synthesizing a new advanced spell.]

[Spell Acquired: Splitting Charm.]

Sean's eyes widened instantly.

[Splitting Charm:]

[The caster may create up to three independent clones.]

[Clones possess autonomous consciousness.]

[Clones cannot cast spells.]

[When a clone disappears or disperses, all memories return to the main body.]

[Clones dissipate after sustaining sufficient damage or exhausting their magical reserves.]

For several seconds, Sean simply stared blankly.

Then—

his eyes slowly became wet.

"…Finally."

His voice trembled emotionally.

"Finally…"

"A genuinely useful spell!"

And not just useful.

This spell was absurdly powerful.

"System."

Sean suddenly sat upright excitedly.

"Can clones enter the training room?"

[Permission may be granted by the host.]

Sean nearly exploded from happiness.

"Perfect!"

His entire body shook with excitement.

"Three clones exactly!"

"One can attend classes for me."

"One can stay in the Slytherin common room."

"One can read books nonstop inside the training room."

"And finally…"

Sean looked deeply moved.

"…I'm free."

This spell was unbelievably broken.

If Sean used his clones for studying, then his learning speed effectively became four times greater than everyone else's.

Four bodies.

One shared consciousness.

Even though the clones couldn't fight, as support magic this ability was practically heaven-defying.

Without hesitation, Sean immediately activated the spell.

"System. Receive spell knowledge."

The next second, another flood of magical understanding poured into Sean's brain.

Half an hour later, Sean finally stood up shakily.

He raised his wand toward himself.

"Splitting Charm."

A strange pulling sensation suddenly tore through Sean's soul.

The feeling only lasted a few seconds.

Then—

three identical Seans appeared beside him.

All four looked at one another simultaneously.

Then nodded together.

Main-body Sean grinned proudly.

"You three stay here and study."

One clone immediately grabbed books.

Another walked toward a desk.

The third simply sat quietly preparing notes.

Meanwhile, the original Sean stretched lazily.

"I'm finally going outside for once."

With that, he exited the training room directly.

Sean wandered casually through Hogwarts corridors while secretly testing whether the clones remained stable.

Everything worked perfectly.

Just as he turned a corner, however—

he spotted Hermione, Harry, and Ron approaching together.

The moment Ron saw Sean, he immediately tried dragging Harry away in the opposite direction.

Unfortunately, Hermione stopped them.

Under Hermione's insistence, the trio reluctantly approached.

"Hello, Sean."

Hermione greeted him first.

Sean smiled naturally.

"Afternoon, Hermione."

Then he glanced toward Harry and Ron.

"Hello to you two as well."

"What are you all doing?"

Hermione smiled slightly.

"I'm helping these two catch up on missed schoolwork."

Ron immediately looked miserable hearing that.

Then Hermione seemed to remember something.

"Oh, right."

"When does the next challenge begin?"

Sean thought briefly before answering.

"Your group may need to wait a while."

Then he added calmly:

"I've decided to clear the next stage alone."

Harry and Ron both froze.

Hermione looked surprised.

"Alone?"

Sean nodded confidently.

Now that he possessed two additional advanced spells, he finally felt genuinely prepared.

Besides…

…clearing stages with teammates always felt a little too much like cheating.

Even if the system technically allowed it.

Sean no longer needed help.
