"Mum, how exactly does Hogwarts Sorting work?"
Inside the luxurious dining room of the Worley estate, Kassandra rested her chin lazily against the table while staring at her mother expectantly.
Mrs Worley smiled elegantly while sipping tea.
"Now why would I spoil that surprise for you?"
Kassandra pouted immediately.
"Keeping a little mystery before school starts is part of the fun."
"Hmph…"
Kassandra looked even more dissatisfied now.
"Anyway," she muttered quietly, "I'll definitely end up in Slytherin."
"Of course you will," Mrs Worley said proudly. "Your father and I both graduated from Slytherin."
Then she reached over and gently brushed her daughter's blonde hair.
"Our little princess naturally belongs there too."
Kassandra hesitated briefly.
Then her expression dimmed slightly.
"What's wrong?" Mrs Worley asked softly.
Kassandra lowered her head onto the table weakly.
"Which House do you think Lucas will enter?"
Mrs Worley smiled immediately.
"Slytherin, naturally."
Her tone sounded extremely confident.
"Slytherin adores talented children."
Then she added meaningfully, "And Lucas's talent is… rather extraordinary."
But Kassandra still looked unconvinced.
"I think he'll end up in Gryffindor instead," she muttered gloomily.
Mrs Worley blinked.
"Why?"
"Because he's reckless!"
Kassandra suddenly sat upright indignantly.
"He charged directly at werewolves! Then fought Dark wizards inside Gringotts!"
The more she thought about it, the more depressed she became.
"He's absolutely some stupid lion pretending to be clever!"
Then she looked towards her mother nervously.
"Mum…"
"Yes?"
"Can students choose their own House?"
Mrs Worley paused slightly.
"Kassandra…"
For the past month, Kassandra and Lucas had only communicated through letters.
After the Gringotts incident, the Worleys became far stricter about her safety.
Even though Kassandra desperately wanted to visit Lucas personally, her parents refused to let her leave freely.
Mrs Worley glanced at her daughter thoughtfully.
Then after a long pause, she casually remarked:
"Lucas is currently staying at the Leaky Cauldron."
Kassandra immediately froze.
Her green eyes slowly widened.
Mrs Worley merely smiled mysteriously before standing up gracefully.
"Goodnight, dear."
Several hours later—
The manor had completely fallen silent.
Moonlight spilled softly through Kassandra's bedroom window.
She sat quietly at her desk while absentmindedly stroking the silver ring resting on her finger.
The engraved name "Kassandra" shimmered faintly beneath the lamp light.
Her eyes gradually became brighter.
More determined.
Then suddenly—
Kassandra stood up decisively.
Without hesitation, she stuffed all her packed luggage into her storage ring.
Then she quietly opened her bedroom door and slipped into the darkness outside.
Far away above the manor courtyard, two shadowy figures silently watched her sneaking away.
One sighed helplessly.
"Oh dear… Miss Kassandra."
The other immediately nodded.
"I'll protect her secretly."
Meanwhile—
At the Leaky Cauldron, Lucas remained completely unaware that trouble was approaching.
He currently sat inside his room while carefully examining a silver ring beneath the candlelight.
For the past several days, he had been experimenting constantly with alchemy techniques learned from the Worley family library.
After all, his future plans required more than simply training Harry and Hermione into ruthless little monsters.
He needed an organisation.
An elite organisation.
One powerful enough to rival trained Aurors someday.
And every proper organisation required a symbol.
Naturally, Lucas immediately rejected Voldemort's Death Eater tattoos.
Ugly.
Obvious.
Impractical.
Completely tasteless.
Rings were far superior.
Elegant.
Discreet.
Functional.
So Lucas designed magical rings instead.
Each ring contained basic enchantments including identity recognition, communication functions, storage capability, and adjustable appearance.
Most importantly—
Only the ring's designated owner could wear it successfully.
A far safer system.
Lucas carefully examined the finished silver ring in his hand.
It resembled the One Ring slightly in shape, though forged from silver instead of gold.
On the outer band sat two engraved letters:
D.A.
Inside the ring rested Hermione's name.
That's right.
Lucas directly stole the name "Dumbledore's Army" from the future.
First, because it sounded excellent.
Second—
If Dumbledore somehow discovered everything later, Lucas could always claim it was merely an innocent student study group inspired by admiration for the Headmaster.
Perfect strategic deniability.
Currently, D.A. only contained three members.
Lucas.
Harry.
Hermione.
The moment Lucas proposed the idea, Harry and Hermione accepted enthusiastically without hesitation.
After nearly two months of Lucas constantly praising Dumbledore around them, both children had practically evolved into miniature Dumbledore worshippers.
Naturally, Lucas also established several important rules immediately.
Absolute secrecy.
Members required strict trustworthiness.
And most importantly—
Professor Dumbledore absolutely must not find out.
Though honestly, Lucas wasn't too worried.
Unlike Voldemort, Dumbledore rarely used Legilimency aggressively on children.
Even if he did, it usually only involved shallow emotional detection.
Lucas calmly slipped the finished ring onto his finger.
Immediately, the silver band transformed into a different style entirely.
Then with another thought—
The ring vanished completely.
Invisible mode.
Very useful for future underground activities.
Satisfied, Lucas tested the communication enchantment next.
He mentally contacted Harry.
Far away at Privet Drive, Harry's completed ring instantly grew warm.
Hermione's name appeared faintly across its surface.
Lucas nodded with satisfaction.
The communication system remained primitive for now.
More like magical pagers than proper messaging devices.
Still—
It worked.
And Lucas could improve it later gradually.
Originally, he planned to wait until Hedwig returned before delivering the rings and instruction manuals officially.
After stretching lazily, Lucas prepared to check his luggage one final time before tomorrow's departure to Hogwarts.
Then suddenly—
Knock knock knock.
Lucas frowned immediately.
He specifically told Tom not to disturb him tonight.
Silently, Lucas drew his wand behind his back before cautiously opening the door slightly.
Then he froze.
Standing outside the doorway was a beautiful blonde girl with emerald-green eyes.
"Kassandra?!"
Lucas stared at her in shock.
"What are you doing here?!"
