Chapter 69 - Chapter 69 — The Curtain Falls

October 31st — 7:00 PM Shibuya.

Tokyo's busiest intersection.

Normally overflowing with neon lights, music, and endless crowds.

Tonight—

It was even more chaotic.

Halloween costumes.

Pumpkin lanterns.

Masks of monsters and demons.

The entire district felt like a giant festival.

And then—

Everything changed.

A massive black curtain suddenly descended over Shibuya.

Like an inverted bowl covering the city.

The barrier swallowed the entire central district.

Inside a 400-meter radius around Tokyu Department Store, communication systems instantly failed.

Cell phones lost signal.

Screens filled with static.

Streetlights flickered violently.

But the most terrifying rule of the barrier was simple:

Civilians could enter.

But they could not leave.

For ordinary people trapped inside—

It felt like reality itself had been sealed.

"My phone has no signal!"

"What is this wall?!"

"Let us out!"

People slammed their hands against the invisible barrier.

Screaming.

Crying.

Pushing against each other in blind panic.

The crowd quickly descended into chaos.

Meanwhile—

Outside the curtain.

Several Jujutsu sorcerers had already assembled.

Their expressions were grim.

"This situation is worse than expected."

Ijichi Kiyotaka adjusted his glasses while checking the barrier data on his tablet.

Cold sweat ran down his temple.

"The curtain's conditions are extremely specific."

"Civilians cannot leave."

"Jujutsu sorcerers can pass freely."

"In other words…"

He swallowed nervously.

"They are using civilians as hostages."

"To force Gojo Satoru inside."

Yagami Sora stood on top of a nearby skyscraper.

Looking down at the enormous black dome covering Shibuya.

His trench coat fluttered in the wind.

His figure looked calm—

But dangerous.

"This barrier was designed specifically for Satoru."

He said quietly.

"They know he won't abandon civilians."

Behind him stood several students from Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Yuji Itadori

Megumi Fushiguro

Nobara Kugisaki

Along with upperclassmen:

Maki Zenin,

Panda,

and Toge Inumaki.

Everyone held their weapons tightly.

The tension in the air was suffocating.

"Did Gojo-sensei already go in?"

Yuji asked nervously.

"Yes."

Megumi nodded.

Divine Dog already manifested beside him.

"He entered ten minutes ago."

"He said he'd finish everything before dinner."

"That idiot…"

Nobara muttered.

But worry filled her eyes.

Her hand tightened around the hammer.

"Relax."

Yagami Sora turned toward them.

His voice was calm.

Firm.

Like steel.

"That's Gojo Satoru."

"No one in this world can kill him."

"As long as he doesn't lose the will to fight…"

"No one can defeat him."

He looked toward the massive barrier again.

"Our mission is different."

"To eliminate the cursed spirits emerging outside the curtain."

"And…"

His eyes sharpened.

"To prevent any of them from escaping."

"Tonight."

"We crush every rat hiding in this cage."

"Listen carefully."

"This will be a brutal battle."

"We are facing multiple Special Grade cursed spirits…"

"And curse users who prepared this operation for months."

Sora's voice became deeper.

"I'm not asking you to be heroes."

"I only ask one thing."

"Survive."

His gaze swept across the students.

"Even if you have to crawl back here."

"If anyone dies…"

"I'll haunt them as a ghost."

The students laughed nervously.

But their morale rose instantly.

"Yes, sir!"

Sora checked his watch.

19:15.

"Operation begins."

The sorcerers moved immediately.

Each team rushing toward their assigned positions.

Like arrows released from a bow.

But Sora remained still.

Standing alone on the rooftop.

Looking toward the center of the curtain.

Inside—

An overwhelming wave of cursed energy erupted.

Brilliant.

Blinding.

That power belonged to Satoru Gojo.

The strongest sorcerer had already begun fighting.

But deeper within the darkness—

Sora sensed several disturbing presences.

The burning heat of Jogo.

The cold presence of Hanami.

The heavy blood aura of Choso.

The twisted soul of Mahito.

And—

The most sinister presence of all.

Kenjaku.

The sorcerer hiding inside Suguru Geto's body.

"So it begins…"

Sora closed his eyes briefly.

The air carried the sweet smell of Halloween candy.

And beneath it—

The faint scent of blood.

"Then let the curtain rise."

"This grand festival…"

"…will become your funeral."

"I'll show you who the real director of this stage is."

Black Wings

WHOOSH—

A pair of enormous Black Wings burst open behind him.

Dark energy swallowed the moonlight.

The aura of destruction surged outward.

Sora leaped from the rooftop.

Like a black meteor.

Rushing directly toward the heart of chaos.

The Shibuya Incident…

Had officially begun.

And tonight—

No one would sleep.
