Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 — The Flower’s Invasion Observation Room

Inside the monitoring room overlooking the battlefield—

Satoru Gojo laughed so hard he nearly fell out of his chair.

"Hahaha! That's brutal!"

"Kyoto School wiped out!"

"And it was done by one person—with a little support!"

He wiped tears from the corner of his eyes.

"This isn't the Goodwill Event anymore."

"It's basically Yagami Sora's personal highlight reel."

Gojo leaned sideways toward the person sitting beside him.

"Utahime."

"Your students look a little undertrained."

"Want me to lend you some teaching materials?"

"Or maybe a few textbooks?"

Beside him, Utahime Iori sat silently.

Her expression was pale.

The teacup in her hand shattered under her grip.

Hot tea dripped down her fingers—

But she didn't react.

"That Yagami Sora…"

"What kind of monster did you bring into this school?"

Even if he had already been classified as Special Grade—

This level of dominance was absurd.

The Kyoto students were supposed to be elite.

Yet in front of him—

They looked like beginners.

On the screen—

Sora casually collected the fallen school badges one by one.

Mechamaru.

Kamo.

Mai.

Momo.

Miwa.

Even the hidden Kyoto substitute who had attempted the cursed-speech countermeasure.

His movements were efficient.

Almost routine.

Like someone harvesting vegetables in a market.

"All done."

Sora stuffed the badges into his pocket.

Then looked toward the floating drone camera.

He waved casually.

"Referee."

"Can we call the match now?"

"I'd like to go back for lunch."

Then—

The Curtain changed.

The black barrier originally used to hide the event from civilians suddenly turned brown.

Its properties shifted.

It no longer just blocked visibility.

Now it prevented entry from outside.

And from the center of the forest—

A powerful surge of cursed energy erupted.

It spread outward like ink dispersing in water.

"Hmm?"

Sora narrowed his eyes.

That cursed energy felt strange.

It carried the presence of nature itself—

But twisted by overwhelming hatred toward humanity.

"So you're finally here."

He sighed softly.

"I was starting to get bored."

Inside the observation room—

Gojo suddenly stood up.

His chair toppled backward.

His usual carefree smile vanished.

"…I see."

"A rat slipped inside."

"And not a small one."

Inside the battlefield—

The ground trembled.

It felt like the anger of the earth itself.

Grass grew wildly across the forest floor.

Within seconds—

Plants reached waist height.

The unconscious Kyoto students became entangled in thick vines.

It looked as if the forest itself was trying to swallow them.

But beneath that explosive growth—

There was decay.

Wherever the intruder stepped—

Flowers withered.

Trees dried out.

Life itself was drained away.

The forest was being consumed.

Yuji Itadori felt a chill run down his spine.

It wasn't ordinary fear.

It felt like standing before something beyond human understanding.

"…Is that…"

"…a Special Grade cursed spirit?"

His fists tightened.

Cold sweat covered his palms.

Then—

Roots burst upward from the ground.

Massive tree roots destroyed several monitoring cameras instantly.

The broadcast screens inside the observation room turned to static.

From the shattered earth—

A tall figure slowly emerged.

Its body resembled a tree.

Its skin looked like rough bark.

One arm was wrapped in white cloth.

Branches grew from where its eyes should have been.

The cursed energy surrounding it felt ancient.

Heavy.

Oppressive.

This was a Special Grade cursed spirit.

Hanami.

"Humans…"

The voice sounded less like speech—

And more like thoughts transmitted directly into the air.

"For the forest…"

"For the earth…"

"…you must disappear."

"Only when humanity dies…"

"…can this planet breathe again."

Beside Hanami stood another figure.

A tall man holding a grotesque weapon made from bones.

His eyes were wild with excitement.

This was the curse user Juzo Kumiya.

"I want to make a weapon…"

"…from your bones."

His grin widened.

"A beautiful one."

Yuji and several Tokyo students rushed toward the disturbance.

They stopped abruptly when they saw the battlefield.

"A Special Grade curse…?"

Yuji swallowed.

"This is a school!"

"Where's Master Tengen's barrier?!"

But Sora simply stepped forward.

He stood between the students and the intruders.

His expression was calm.

Yet his eyes gleamed with excitement.

"I was getting bored with the competition."

He cracked his neck slowly.

"Finally…"

"…something interesting."

He pulled the Kyoto school badges from his pocket.

Then casually dropped them on the ground.

They scattered across the grass.

Meaningless now.

"Those guys were too weak."

"Barely enough to warm up."

Sora looked directly at Hanami.

His smile turned cruel.

"I hope you're a little more durable."

"Don't break like that tin toy earlier."

He took a single step forward.

BOOM.

His aura exploded outward.

The killing intent in the air became suffocating.

It was completely different from when he fought the Kyoto students.

This was the killing intent of a Special Grade combatant.

"Should we stop the match?"

Yuji asked nervously.

Sora didn't even look back.

"No."

He flexed his fingers slowly.

Then spoke calmly.

"The slaughter begins now."

He tilted his head slightly.

"Everyone else…"

"…stay back."

"I don't want you getting splashed with blood."
