Bearing his fangs at Kyle "Do you think a lowly human like you has what it takes" he sneered "Who do you think you are to dare claim ownership of me"
Unmoved by Vaygar, Kyle grabbed him by the mane and pulled him down. He press his hand against the mark on Vaygar's head. Channeling mana into his mark, Kyle tried to form a pact of submission with Vaygar. The marks shoned, growing dimmer as Kyle's mana reserves depleted.
"You don't even have the mana to form a contract" Vaygar scoffed.
"Think again". Removing the bracelets, Kyle let his mana run rampant, channeling what he could control into forming the pact. Vaygar tried to fight back when he realized that Kyle had more than enough to complete the process. The more he fought back the more he drowned in the sea of mana pouring into him. Vaygar underwent a transformation when it was over.
His tail became stronger and the tip was filled with spikes. His claws and fangs, more durable and sturdy. His mane grew larger and burnt with intensity. Horns sprouted above his eyes, his mark turned golden
As for Kyle, he lay on the grass, exhausted. The mark on his hand spread shoulder. Kyle felt the fragments of the bracelet.
"Look like I won't be needing this" he tossed the bracelet.
'How can a human have this much mana'
Kyle stood up, leaning on a tree he said " You acted high and might, saying you won't acknowledge lowly human as your master, what happened now?"

On the other side of the island, Luke formed a contract with a Phoenix hatchling he found in its nest. He gained the ability of flight and fire resistance. His fire spells became more potent . A beastmark appeared on his hand
Reo on the other hand, walked into the den of a shadow panther and kidnapped it's cub. His speed increased from the pact and was now capable of erasing his mana signature when he turns invisible. His mark came on his left shoulder
Although Olivia didn't gain any ability when she contracted the nagzil, it mana bullets served as a support for her. She picked up the black feline and placed it on her shoulder. The beast fur brushed against her mark on her neck
Since Ceasar contracted a blood hound, the natural enemy of the shadow panther, because of its ability to find any prey it has come in contact with. He and Reo had to avoid each other to prevent their beast from fighting.

Kyle dragged his tired body back when he heard the horn. Vaygar had no choice but to follow him since he could only go a fixed distance away from Kyle.
Long before he got to the rendezvous point he had replenish a bit of mana to remove fatigue.
Murmurs spread from the students who had arrived earlier when Luke arrived with the Phoenix sitting on his head.
"He really contracted a legendary beast" Maya said
"What do you expect, that's a Lucas for you" Freya replied.
"Too bad we didn't find one" Claire let out.
Reo came next accompanied by the panther,
"Looks like you outdid everyone else" Reo commented on Luke's beast.
"Not everyone" Luke responded
The noise around them stopped, everyone's gaze fell on the path Leo had come from. The presence of what was coming made everybody quiver, the mana beast hid behind their master, avoiding being sighted by what was coming. Only Luke's phoenix and Reo's panther looked Unmoved by it.The pressure grew stronger as it approaches.
Kyle arrived, tailing behind him was Vaygar.
Vaygar's appearance intimidated Ceasar's blood hound.
"Where did you find this beast" Mrs Stella asked.
"Deep in the forest, at the heart of the island"
Luke's Phoenix and Reo's panther beared their fangs at Vaygar, who in turn beared his.
The three beast stood against each other ready to have a two against one battle royal.
"Vaygar, stand back" Kyle ordered. Vaygar sneered at Kyle and walked back. The remaining looked at Vaygar with disdain returning back to their masters.
"What new ability did you get" Reo said, staring at Kyle's mark.
"I haven't checked. Luke what about you"
"My fire spells are stronger now and I'm able to fly" Luke conjured a flame in his hand
"Well I got the ability of mask my presence" Reo showed off his new skill.
Silvia waited for Olivia to return, so they would head over to where the boys where.
"What skill did you get" Silvia asked, looking at her pact. Sophie flew over and brushed it fur. "It's cute"
"it's embarrassing to say, but I didn't get any new skill" Olivia said, fidgeting her fingers.
"Alright students, it's time to head back" Mrs Stella mounted her griffin and blew the horn again, calling the students into the carriage. When all the students were inside, the griffin carried the carriage in its talons. It wasn't difficult for the griffin to fly with the carriage, since it had been imbude with wing magic.
They reached the school at sunset. Mrs Stella taught them how to alter their pact's appearance for convenience. She did this mostly for Kyle, Ceasar, Reo and all those whose pact was large.
Reo shrunk his pact to a kitty, while Kyle turned Vaygar into a little cub with two jagged horns.
