It seemed that this place was not far from the city limits, so Jean Stardust decided to send these few out first to complete Frost Star's commission.
"But the fire has blocked this place." "Have you forgotten that this is the Evil God?"
"It's fine, I have it handled." Then, Stardust Wind blew around Jean Stardust, blowing towards the wall of fire closest to the city exit.
The Stardust crystals seemed to undergo intense friction within the fire, causing sparks to fly in all directions. Once the crystals were burned up, the fire also extinguished.
"As expected, is it fire infused with will?" Jean Stardust muttered to themselves, though the reaction of the Snow Monster Squad members was much more exaggerated.
"Oh oh oh! Amazing, it really went out!" "Is this a miracle!!! Big Sister is finally saved!!!"
"Stop howling, hurry up and follow the Evil God." It seemed there were still some rational people among them.
After crossing the first wall of fire, the path ahead was much easier to walk, as this place could already be considered a forbidden zone for life.
Only the few people surrounded by Stardust Wind could move through it unimpeded.
"We actually made it out." "Evil God, it's safe here. Please go quickly and save Big Sister; she won't be able to hold on for much longer."
Jean Stardust nodded, then said: "Listen well, under no circumstances are you allowed to return to the city, otherwise..." They revealed a smile, "You wouldn't want to know."
It was obvious that these Snow Monster Squad members were startled, and then they nodded repeatedly.
"By the way, what about the Infected you were protecting? How are they getting out?"
"A gentleman who has been helping us said he knows a passageway, and the rest of the people followed him," Snow Monster Squad A replied.
"Is he trustworthy?"
"His intelligence has never been wrong, at least more trustworthy than Talulah!" This Talulah-hating member spoke again; although she was a girl, it was impossible to determine which member she was.
---
After settling these Snow Monster Squad members outside the city, Jean Stardust went straight back into the city.
Now, they only knew the approximate location of Frost Star, but it wasn't too far away.
While running wildly through the flames, they released Stardust Wind to explore the surrounding environment.
Although the consumption of Stardust Wind was hundreds of times higher than that of ordinary wind elements, if it weren't for the crystal cores infused with Jean Stardust's own will, ordinary wind would simply not be able to penetrate this fire field.
Fortunately, although the perception range had shrunk, there was still an obvious landmark. Even though there was a raging fire everywhere, the temperature in front of Jean Stardust was getting lower and lower; presumably, Frost Star was just ahead.
Just after breaking through the wall of fire again and arriving inside the city surrounded by flames, Jean Stardust immediately released ordinary wind elements to explore the entire urban area, while rushing towards the location with the lowest temperature.
The exploration efficiency of ordinary wind elements was greatly improved due to the quantity, but accompanied by a massive feedback of information, wails and screams, death and fear, constantly flooded Jean Stardust's mind.
The sound of blades piercing flesh, the sound of bodies falling heavily to the ground, the cries of those begging bitterly only to be met with pain and death, and the 'hissing' sound of corpses being thrown into the fire to be burned.
The smell of blood, the stench, the smell of charred flesh. And fear, fear and despair, turning into a pitch-black color that seemed to dye even the heaven and earth black.
A large amount of negative emotions continuously oppressed Jean Stardust's brain; eventually, in their perception, even the blood turned green, and the corpses became twisted and deformed.
In this city covered in flames, the ruler had ordered the slaughter of all Infected and civilians, tossing them into the fires to be burned like firewood.
Jean Stardust clenched their hands, warning themselves not to meddle in the affairs here. The temperature in the area ahead was abnormally low; every minute and every second, Frost Star was stepping closer to death.
Infusing their entire body with elemental power, they accelerated as much as possible, releasing silver-white Stardust Wind to clear the path ahead, breaking through all obstacles with unstoppable force, creating as much commotion as possible to attract the attention of more Black Cloaks.
This was the only way Jean Stardust could think of to balance both, and although using themselves as bait might be a bit arrogant, asking themselves, they were not the kind of person who could remain indifferent when faced with such a scene.
