Chapter 83 The Setting Sun's Last Warmth Dissipates

See you tomorrow.

"Sakura-chan, see you tomorrow!"

"Ah, school's finally over!"

"Ugh, I really want to eat."

The setting sun cast a crimson glow through the window, the school bell rang, and the students, marveling at how quickly time had passed, said goodbye to each other and headed home.

"Naruto-kun, um, you have to be careful."

Hinata thought for a moment and then said to Naruto.

He could vaguely sense that Mizuki-sensei had a strange feeling towards Naruto.

Although it's hard to describe, it definitely wasn't a good feeling.

Therefore, Hinata told Naruto about it after class.

"Don't worry, Hinata, I'll be fine."

Naruto said with a smile, while patting Hinata's head.

"Thank you for reminding me."

"Eek...then you have to be careful."

Hinata's body stiffened for a moment, then her ears turned red, and a puff of steam rose from the back of her head.

She nodded, then quickly sat back down.

Hinata: Naruto-kun touched my head!!! What should I do? I'm so embarrassed, so embarrassed!!! ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄

"I'm bored, I'm going back now."

Sasuke smirked; he didn't tell Naruto about Itachi.

Perhaps to avoid worrying his friends, he kept the matter to himself.

Therefore, he seemed gloomy all day, and Karin didn't dare to talk to him.

Karin: No, isn't that right? She was fine yesterday, wasn't she?

Naruto: I don't know either~ I'll just catch him and ask him next time I have a break. ┓( ´∀` )┏

"Oh, you should take Karin back with you, I'm afraid she won't know the way."

Sasuke stopped in his tracks and turned to stare at Karin.

"Ah, oh, I'm here."

Karin silently gave her brother a thumbs-up. Although she was a little worried about the teacher, her brother had gone to such lengths to create opportunities for her.

"Let's go."

Sasuke saw that Karin had packed her bag, so he took her away.

Karin wanted to start a conversation, but Sasuke seemed very gloomy today, which made her hesitant to bring it up.

Almost everyone had left, and Naruto walked to Mizuki-sensei's office.

The lingering warmth of the setting sun streamed in through the window, but it was almost too cold to feel anymore.

"Knock knock knock".

A crisp knock sounded on the door.

A smile crept onto Mizuki's lips as she mentally rehearsed the plan in the office.

They've arrived.

The prey has taken the bait.

"Naruto? The teacher will be out soon."

"Please come in first."

Naruto pushed open the door.

Mizuki's seat was in a dark corner of the office, where the red rays of the setting sun couldn't reach him. The contrast between light and shadow gave him a very unpleasant feeling.

"No way, Minato, how could he possibly think Naruto wouldn't even realize he's a bad guy?!"

Kushina covered her forehead.

This scene, this color contrast—anyone with a modicum of aesthetic sense would instinctively think Mizuki was a bad person.

"Maybe... Mizuki thinks Naruto is still young and easy to fool."

Minato was also surprised.

"What the heck is this villain-specific lighting and shadow?

Adding a little black figure effect to this just turns it into the crime scene of the Grim Reaper next door!"

Oops, wrong segment.

"Ms. Mizuki, shall we... have tutoring here?"

Naruto swallowed hard as he looked at the somewhat terrifying scene.

No, I have such a terrible feeling about to explode!!!

"Hehehe, of course not."

"Let's go to the training ground right away."

"I applied for night lights, so we can use them for both theoretical guidance and practical training."

"It just means walking a certain distance."

Mizuki looked up, and his ever-smiling face looked rather eerie in the darkness.

"Alright, let's go."

Mizuki casually picked up a scroll that sealed the Fuma Shuriken, then grabbed a book as a pretense, before leading Naruto toward the training ground.

Naruto: No, Mizuki-sensei, if I just follow you like this, I'll look really silly.

With his hands in his pockets, Naruto followed behind Mizuki in a cocky manner, mimicking Sasuke.

Shui Mu's eyelids twitched.

This nine-tailed fox...

Oh well, he's going to be gone soon anyway, what's wrong with letting him be arrogant for a while?

"Mr. Mizuki, which training ground are we on the way to?"

"Go to the training ground on the east side."

Is there a training ground over there?

"some."

Why don't we use the training grounds at school?

"Because the school is closing."

"Do you know what Iruka-sensei did today?"

"...went to a meeting."

Damn it, why does this fox spirit talk so much nonsense?

What does it have to do with me that school personnel changed the meeting that Iruka went to?

Why should I know?

Damn it, he's only climbed a tiny bit higher than me.

Mizuki's mood immediately soured.

What kind of meeting is it?

"Hey, Naruto, let's talk about something else."

Mizuki changed the subject, his voice becoming low.

"Do you know there's a secret in the village that's deliberately keeping it from you?"

"...I don't know."

They were all deliberately avoiding me, how could I possibly know!

Naruto started complaining to his teachers in his mind.

"Naruto Uzumaki, why does everyone call you the Nine-Tailed Fox?"

"Why don't you have parents!"

Why does everyone look at you like you're their enemy?!

Mizuki stood under the tree, his face slightly manic, and spoke to Naruto.

"Um, Ms. Mizuki, please stop talking, I'm scared."

Naruto shrank back, startled by Mizuki's obviously abnormal state.

Does he have a mental illness?

Mizuki froze for a moment.

"No, you shouldn't be intimidated by my imposing manner and afraid to speak," she said, stammering as she asked me what the reason was.

Never mind, we've arrived anyway.

"Everything! It's all because of you, Naruto Uzumaki!"

"It's the incarnation of the Nine-Tailed Fox who wreaked havoc in Konoha six years ago, killing countless people!!!"

"That evil, hateful, ruthless, and persecutory fox spirit is inside your body!!!"

Mizuki roared at Naruto, his voice hoarse.

"Sad, you little fox spirit, do you have anything to say?"

Mizuki swallowed hard to moisten his throat, then unsealed his Fuma Shuriken from the sealing scroll.

Naruto kept his head down, not looking at Mizuki.

"Mr. Mizuki, Kurama is innocent."

About five seconds later, Naruto's voice reached Mizuki's ears.

"What? Who? Kurama?"

"Is this the name you, as a fox spirit, gave yourself?"

"Hehehehehe."

Mizuki clutched his stomach and burst into laughter.

"You... hahaha... You even gave yourself a name... hahaha."

"Ahem, let me tell you, changing your name won't help. You used to be the Nine-Tailed Fox, and as long as you're the Nine-Tailed Fox, you'll be the Nine-Tailed Fox for life!!!"

(How about that? It's ignited, isn't it?)
