[Pokémon: Kadabra]
[Level: 25]
[Talent: Top]
[Moves: Confusion, Thunderbolt, Psycho Cut, Gravity...]
[Evaluation: A Kadabra with good potential. Under Sabrina's psychic amplification, it may unleash terrifying combat power.]
"Kadabra, huh…"
Seeing that Sabrina was actually willing to cooperate and sent out a Pokémon that wasn't overwhelmingly strong, Red felt genuinely moved.
Then, without hesitation, he took out Tyranitar's Poké Ball.
"Go! Tyranitar!"
BOOM—!
Weighing over a ton, Tyranitar's entrance—unless deliberately restrained—was always a brutal test for the battlefield.
Rocks shattered and scattered . The entire arena cracked open with several terrifying fissures.
Seeing Red shamelessly send out a near–Elite Four-level Tyranitar—
Even Sabrina, who rarely showed any expression, was stunned, her lips parting slightly.
She was shocked by Tyranitar's strength—
But even more by Red 's sheer lack of shame.
Just as Sabrina cast him an increasingly cold gaze—
Red quickly recalled Tyranitar back into its Poké Ball.
Seeing her displeased expression, Red spoke calmly:
"Gym Leader Sabrina, don't mind it. As a weather-based Gym Leader, using a Pokémon to set up weather first is completely normal, right?"
"Don't worry—I'm not that shameless."
Of course, that was just talk.
If Red had a second Pokémon left behind by his father, he would've sent out two main forces already.
For the sake of securing that Beginner Psychic Power, he had no intention of playing fair.
After all, when Sabrina half-forced him to join Team Rocket, she hadn't exactly played fair either.
"Go—Marshtomp!"
Only now did Red send out his true main Pokémon.
Amid the raging sandstorm, Marshtomp made its entrance.
"Gym Leader Sabrina, let's have a fair battle."
Looking at the sandstorm continuously draining Kadabra's stamina, Sabrina smiled—
A cold, irritated smile.
"What a 'fair' battle indeed."
"Kadabra—Confusion."
A blue glow surrounded Kadabra as invisible psychic force instantly locked onto Marshtomp.
Watching this intangible attack, Red clicked his tongue.
"Psychic power really is convenient."
"But the intensity isn't quite enough. Marshtomp—break free!"
Marshtomp tensed its entire body!
Beneath its blue skin, powerful muscles bulged—
In an instant, it unleashed astonishing strength and forcefully broke free from Kadabra's psychic control.
It raised its arm high, displaying its terrifying physical power.
Seeing this, a smile appeared on Red 's lips.
"Talent won't give you a body carved like steel!"
Meanwhile, inside a Poké Ball at Red 's waist, Larvitar sucked on a lollipop, feeling slightly down.
Was Red talking about it?
Larvitar sighed… then pulled out another lollipop.
Well… might as well eat another one.
"Go, Master!"
"Master, you're the best!"
From the stands, Ash cheered loudly.
Not far from him, the Team Rocket trio—disguised as vendors—stared at the Pikachu on Ash's shoulder, practically drooling.
"Finally! We've finally found Pikachu again!"
"And the brat is busy battling—this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance!"
"Let's grab Pikachu, meow!"
...
Back on the field—
Seeing Kadabra fail to restrain its opponent, Sabrina let out a dissatisfied cold snort.
"Looks like I have to step in personally."
She slowly opened her eyes.
A far more terrifying psychic force surged into Kadabra's body.
Instantly—
Kadabra's psychic power multiplied several times over.
Seeing this, Red gave a bitter smile.
"Was it really necessary to go straight to your ultimate move?"
This was the most broken aspect of Psychic-type trainers like Sabrina.
Unlike other special abilities that could only assist indirectly—
Psychic Power was one of the few abilities that could directly amplify a Pokémon's combat strength.
With Sabrina's boost, Kadabra's level hadn't changed—
But its psychic output had more than doubled.
And the most frustrating part?
This kind of "cheating" was completely legal in League battles.
"Don't think you're the only one with cheats!"
Red took a deep breath.
A stream of green energy flowed into Marshtomp's body.
Although Viridian Power couldn't directly enhance attacks, it acted as a hidden energy source—
Constantly restoring Marshtomp's stamina and physical condition.
Floating in midair, Sabrina pointed a finger forward.
Kadabra immediately locked onto Marshtomp again.
Red 's expression turned serious.
He knew—
If Marshtomp got caught again, breaking free wouldn't be so easy this time.
Marshtomp went all out, stomping both feet onto the ground!
BOOM!
The earth trembled violently.
The entire battlefield—and even the Gym itself—shook intensely.
Kadabra couldn't even stand steady, let alone locate Marshtomp within the sandstorm.
By the time it regained balance—
Marshtomp had already vanished.
Just as Kadabra panicked and searched frantically—
Sabrina's voice rang out:
"Marshtomp is inside the cracks created by Tyranitar!"
"Tch… psychic power is really troublesome."
"The match ends here! Marshtomp—full power, Waterfall!"
From a fissure near Kadabra's feet—
Marshtomp burst out like a lurking assassin!
At that moment, its powerful muscles exploded with terrifying force.
In the blink of an eye—
Its fist, the size of a sandbag, had already reached Kadabra.
Wrapped in swirling sand and rushing water—
Marshtomp threw a full-power punch!
