Chapter 3: Fading Memories and Distant Shores

After returning to Mumbai, Radha's life turned into a repetitive cycle of grief. Every day, her heart yearned for Amar. She barely ate, refused to go out, and eventually, even her studies were abandoned. Concerned by her deteriorating state, her father tried everything to make her forget the "gardener's boy."

When her birthday arrived, Mr. Khanna threw a lavish celebration, inviting all her friends in hopes of seeing a smile on her face. But Radha remained a ghost at her own party—physically present, yet miles away in spirit.

A few days later, Mr. Khanna received a call from his childhood friend, Mr. Anthony, who lived in London. During their conversation, Mr. Khanna poured out his worries about Radha and her attachment to Amar. Mr. Anthony suggested a change of scenery.

"Send her to London with us," he advised. "My daughter, Chanchal, is around her age. They'll get along, and the new environment will help her move on."

The idea immediately appealed to Mr. Khanna. He went to Radha's room to discuss it, only to find her sitting silently by the window, tears in her eyes, staring at the ring Amar had given her. Enraged by her persistence, he scolded her harshly and snatched the ring, throwing it out of the window. Radha's world shattered as she broke down into uncontrollable sobs.

Instead of discussing the London trip further, Mr. Khanna took matters into his own hands. He called Mr. Anthony and invited the entire family to India. Within days, Mr. Anthony, his wife, and their daughter Chanchal arrived.

Chanchal, visiting India for the first time, was bubbling with excitement. She immediately rushed to Radha's room and began chatting, eventually revealing the plan: "Radha, did you know? You're coming back to London with us!"

Stuned, Radha confrnted her father, pleading that she didn't want to leave. But her cries fell on deaf ears; he walked away without a word. Dsprate to hide her pain, Radha joined everyone in the lobby. She put on a brave face, acting as though nothing was wrong, keeping her agony locked deep inside.

As the days passed, the guests enjoyed the sights of Mumbai. Soon, it was time to leave. Without even asking her, Mr. Khanna packed Radha's bags. The hour of her departure for London had finally arrived...
