GA: Chapter 157: New Members Join the Group — A Thoroughly Baffled Daigo
This was more than enough to shake Master Nine to his core.
"..."
Bai Xuan helped Master Nine to his feet with a mild sense of helplessness. He hadn't anticipated that he would stir the rules of heaven and earth into a display of this scale.
As for the violet mist from the east, the celestial maidens scattering flowers, the golden lotuses rising from the ground — this world still carried the essence of immortal cultivation at its core, so the rules it manifested naturally leaned in that direction.
In a different xianxia world, what his presence stirred might have looked more like a celestial sovereign shaking the nine heavens, or bronze bells tolling over a sea of suffering, or the moon rising above the ocean.
When all was said and done, it was simply Earth's own rules cooperating with him.
He had never considered treating these omens as expressions of his power.
"Ding — task completion detected. Group member [Child of Nature] contributed 97% of total combat. [Holy Lord] contributed 1%. [Turn Da Gu Into Soup] contributed 1%. [Lin Fengjiao] contributed 1%."
"Ding — task rewards have been distributed."
The chat group's voice sounded, and Bai Xuan saw 970,000 points added to his balance, along with one Enhancement Attempt at 50% success probability.
He was planning to use it on enhancing [Authority of Nature]. Nearly all of his current capability derived from it — and although the nature of [Authority of Nature] meant the odds of success were probably low, he wasn't particularly bothered either way.
More than that, he was curious what he would receive from recovering the transmigrator's [Rule-Class Item].
"Ding — [Rule-Class Item: Ten-Thousand-Worlds Slaughter System] carried by transmigrator Mórú has been recovered. Distributing rewards according to each member's contribution percentage."
"Congratulations — group member [Child of Nature] has received one Enhancement Attempt (Success Rate: 100%)."
The chat group's voice sounded again in everyone's ears — though the individual rewards of the other members weren't announced.
Judging by the shocked and delighted reactions from the Holy Lord and the others, theirs must have been good.
At the same time, they turned their eyes toward Bai Xuan. They'd each contributed only 1% and received something like that — so what had Bai Xuan gotten?
He only smiled quietly and said nothing.
Inwardly, he was equally satisfied.
He had no idea how formidable [Authority of Nature] would become after another enhancement.
But he wasn't planning to use it yet.
Since the success rate was guaranteed at 100% with no stated restrictions, using it now felt wasteful. [Authority of Nature] still had many opportunities to grow — the third spiritual tide, the fourth — the age of spiritual energy had only just begun. If he used this in a rush now, would he regret it later?
There was nothing in his own world that posed any real threat to him.
His strength was still rapidly increasing.
And time, to him, was little more than a meaningless number. He should think carefully about the best moment to use it.
"Since the mission is over, I suppose we should head back."
Daigo said it a little awkwardly to Master Nine, acutely aware that he hadn't actually done much.
He'd grown a little proud of Tiga's strength in recent times — especially after spending points from the kaiju carcasses and Giant Stone Statue recoveries to purchase things like the Bull Talisman and the Sage Body. His power had shot up dramatically, and the monsters he'd faced in the early period had been crushed without much effort.
It wasn't even pride anymore. It was confidence. An absolute conviction in the strength he now possessed.
He could overcome any danger!
This time, facing the transmigrator Mórú — his raw power had exceeded Mórú's. But combat demanded more than raw power, and Mórú hadn't been foolish enough to trade punches with him directly.
That force saturated with resentment and blood energy had been able to affect even Tiga — as if trying to taint Tiga's light with pollution.
That was only a secondary effect, of course. The real reason he'd been taken out so quickly was simply that Mórú's overall combat capability was greater than his. That was the honest truth.
When he got back, he needed to reflect. Think properly about his purpose and what he should be doing.
He had grown stronger — far stronger. And yet he felt his thinking was completely behind what the Daigo in the story had shown.
In the meantime, the four of them had been passively cut off from the chat group's messages while on the mission. They had no idea that two new members had joined while they were away.
Kaseshiko: "I still don't want to admit it — but looking at what's right in front of me and the information in my head, I think I might genuinely have stumbled into something extraordinary."
Golden Flash: "This new member accepts things quickly. Most people who join take a while before they're willing to believe any of it."
Namikaze Minato was genuinely surprised. They hadn't even finished welcoming them and the newcomer was already on board.
Kaseshiko: "Golden Flash? The Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato?"
Kaseshiko: "The irresponsible father who turned his own son into the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki and left him to be mistreated?"
Kaseshiko: "I'm honestly curious what your emotions looked like when you found out just how much your son suffered."
Kaseshiko: "And the Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen — he doesn't seem to have treated Naruto very well despite your dying wish, does he."
Kaseshiko: "If you had the chance again, would you still make the same choice?"
Golden Flash: "..."
Golden Flash: "Does your world have the Naruto anime too?"
Golden Flash: "I was genuinely unprepared for what happened to Naruto when I saw it. But at the time I was unable to make it right. Fortunately, none of it has begun yet — I still have the chance to change everything."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Oh, new members have joined?"
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "But why didn't the chat group notify us? Is it because we were on a mission?"
Worst Spirit: "It seems so. Though it looks like the new member's world also has the Naruto anime."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "???"
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Because of Bai Xuan and the Group Leader, I always assumed only the world they came from before crossing over had it."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Come to think of it, the transmigrator in this mission knew about us too."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Makes me wonder if all the transmigrators come from the same world."
Kaseshiko: "Turn Da Gu Into Soup? That's a strange username, even for a username."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Is it? When I first joined I thought the same — but then I saw the Holy Lord's name and made my peace with it. Mine seemed perfectly fine after that."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "You probably don't know who I am yet. My name is Daigo. The Tiga in the chat group's memory copies — that's my world."
Kaseshiko: "Daigo? Ultraman Tiga?"
Kaseshiko: "The one who inherited Tiga's power and ultimately killed his ex-girlfriend Camila?"
Kaseshiko: "I've always wondered why you fell for Rena instead of Captain Kiriyama Megumi."
Kaseshiko: "By the proper narrative logic, you should have inherited Tiga's fate and abandoned your original love to fall into Megumi's arms — just like how Tiga abandoned Camila and returned to Yuzare."
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "???"
Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Are you sure you're talking about me?"
Daigo stared at the new member's messages in complete bafflement. Yuzare he knew. Kiriyama Megumi he knew. Tiga was obviously impossible not to know. But who was Camila?
And why, strung together like this, did none of it make any sense to him?
