GA: Chapter 155: A New Application of Devil Fruits — Mórú Targeted by the Planet's Consciousness

Unless the other party's devourment ability reached a tier comparable to the chat group itself — in which case the chat group's rules wouldn't apply to them — or their bound [Rule-Class Item] possessed that specific capability — otherwise...

This line of thinking had also led Bai Xuan to a new approach for this type of encounter. Against enemies like this, throw in a useless Devil Fruit purchased from the chat group — and since the enemy couldn't negate the fruit's weakness, they would become vulnerable to seawater and Seastone, compromising their combat effectiveness.

As for why not feed them two Devil Fruits at once?

The enemy wasn't human. Bai Xuan had no clear understanding of their body structure. More critically — if the enemy's strength exceeded that of the devil within the fruit, consuming several wouldn't matter.

Crack.

While the Holy Lord stared at Bai Xuan with an expression somewhere between bafflement and the look one gives a ghost — visibly wondering how anyone's mind could arrive at a combat approach like that — Bai Xuan snapped his fingers. Countless pieces of Seastone materialized from empty space and wrapped around Mórú, enclosing him completely.

"Is that... it?"

Daigo looked at Mórú sealed within the Seastone, thoroughly confused. He hadn't imagined a battle could end this way.

Chat group Devil Fruits really were frightening. Their weaknesses could only be removed through the chat group's own systems.

Against large enemies with large mouths, wasn't this basically the ideal attack method?

And the fruit Bai Xuan had chosen was the Mythical Zoan Hito Hito no Mi — the Human-Human Fruit. The most ordinary human form imaginable. It added no particular ability whatsoever, yet introduced the weakness to seawater out of nowhere.

In the future, when he was facing terrifying monsters, could he look for the right moment to throw a Devil Fruit in and then attack with Seastone?

Especially something like Gargantua, which spent its time lying in the ocean anyway.

The thought prompted a smile that crossed Daigo's face before he could stop it.

"It won't end quite this easily. Both seawater and Seastone can be adapted to over time."

Bai Xuan said it plainly. Kaido had already demonstrated this for them.

Starting from low-purity Seastone, gradually conditioning the body through incremental exposure — once full adaptation to even the highest-purity Seastone was achieved, the weakness became negligible.

"But adaptation takes time."

"What we need to do is kill him — before that adaptation is complete."

As he spoke, endless white light gathered and compressed in his hand. He raised it toward the sky where Mórú was enclosed in Seastone, and a sacred, scorching beam of light erupted outward.

BOOM—!

With a thunderous roar, the white beam pierced through the sky, through the atmosphere, and out into space.

It held for a full ten seconds before the blazing light finally faded — and that figure had vanished.

Master Nine, Daigo, and the Holy Lord stared at the scene in stunned silence.

That was Bai Xuan's strength?

It had only been a few months since he'd gained his ability. How was this level of power even conceivable?

But then again — thinking about what his ability actually was, perhaps it wasn't so inconceivable.

He was someone the Earth itself had entrusted with authority.

"That should be the end of it... right?"

Master Nine asked with uncertain hesitation. If the other party could withstand even that and still wasn't finished, he genuinely could not imagine what level of strength they were operating at.

Even the immortals and gods of his world were probably around this level, weren't they?

The Holy Lord said nothing. His crimson gaze remained fixed on the fading light dissipating in the sky above.

After defeating Marquis Voban and Uchiha Madara, he'd let himself grow somewhat complacent.

Especially after reclaiming his throne, with no one left who could threaten him.

Yes — his strength was genuinely formidable.

But across the myriad worlds, there were far too many people stronger than him.

Right now, within the chat group, very few could defeat him — and even those who could win probably couldn't kill him.

But what about the future?

With the appetite for strength that Uchiha Madara and Marquis Voban possessed — if he stayed at his current level, how long would it take before they surpassed him?

Bai Xuan had no idea what was going through their minds. He was simply looking at the sky with a mild sense of puzzlement.

The chat group hadn't notified them of mission completion. Which meant the other party was still alive.

But he could confirm that the other party's presence had disappeared.

Had they fled? Used the [Rule-Class Item]'s power to escape to another world?

Or had they died but possessed the ability to resurrect?

As if answering Bai Xuan's unspoken question, limitless blood energy and resentment began converging from the surrounding heaven and earth, ultimately reassembling into Mórú's form.

Now, however, he regarded Bai Xuan with clear wariness. His eyes swept the surrounding void with sharp alertness — afraid of being caught by Seastone again, of his body weakening, of being blasted to nothing.

He had genuinely been killed by Bai Xuan just now. Fortunately, a reward he'd obtained previously from his [System] had allowed him to revive.

But that was the only revival he had.

If it happened again — he would truly die.

"System — analyze the target. Assess his strength."

Mórú directed the words inward, while simultaneously preparing to transit back to his original world. If this person's power exceeded what he could handle, he had no intention of remaining here.

He had too many things left unfinished. He absolutely could not die here.

"System — what kind of existence is that? Can you determine it?"

"Ding — initiating analysis."

"Analyzing..."

"Analysis complete. Target identity: Son of Heaven's Path, Son of Earth, Child of Nature."

"Target's power: Unknown. In any world where Earth exists, the target may receive the full support of Earth's power."

"Ding—"

"Detection confirms host is currently on Earth and bearing hostile intent toward the target. Host will be comprehensively targeted by Earth's consciousness."

"Blood energy, resentment, darkness... energy reserves have been stripped. Paralysis, freezing, toxin, burning... passive debuffs are now active."

"System advises host to abandon hostility toward the target."

What.

Mórú felt his intelligence had been personally insulted.

The target being a Child of a Planet was one thing. The demon race had its own equivalents — the Bloodline Atavists, those with a certain probability of receiving the blessing of the demon realm, fortune overflowing, destined to become the king of the demon realm, where any enemy who stood against them came to a bad end.

But even that only applied within the demon realm. Once outside it, they died the same way as anyone else.

Yet this person — across any world in the myriad dimensions where Earth existed — would receive the full support of Earth's power?

That's completely unreasonable!

Was he the Son of Earth for every version of Earth in existence?

And what was the rest of that?

He couldn't draw on any of the surrounding energy?

Blood energy, resentment, darkness — even moonlight — completely inaccessible to him. And he'd been passively debuffed on top of that?

Freezing? Paralysis? Toxin? Burning?

Burning he could understand. But where were the freezing, toxin, and paralysis coming from?

Just from breathing?
