GA:Chapter 145: Death Reaper Carl's Phantom Form — The Differences Between Their Ideals

Ordinary Group Leader: "What about the price?"

Ordinary Group Leader: "Black Zetsu is a creation of Yin-Yang Release — that should be worth a fair amount, right?"

Uchiha Dance King: "Seventy thousand points. Passable, I suppose."

Converted to the equivalent of a Devil Fruit, it didn't quite reach Natural Type value — but considering the chat group's recovery prices were inherently on the lower side, the overall result was actually decent.

It had been a pleasant surprise.

Golden Flash: "Seventy thousand points?"

Something flickered in Namikaze Minato's eyes, as if a thought was forming. But in the end he could only smile ruefully and shake his head.

He wasn't Uchiha Madara. Whatever Madara's approach to recovering Black Zetsu had been, there was no way he could replicate it.

The only option for him would be to set a trap and seal Black Zetsu with a sealing technique.

But Black Zetsu had lived for centuries — and hadn't spent those centuries doing nothing. Getting him to fall for a trap and successfully seal him was far from simple.

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "Now I'm suddenly curious — how many points would Death Reaper Carl's phantom form be worth?"

Carl's phantom form was extremely similar to an energy body — immune to nearly all forms of damage. Attempting to restrain him was extraordinarily difficult.

Precisely because of that, his phantom form should be worth slightly more than a typical Fourth Generation Divine Body.

Add in his intellect and his research value on top of that... he was probably worth quite a lot.

Worst Spirit: "He's a god with good looks and clearly exceptional intelligence — and somehow the impression that's burned into me most deeply is—"

Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "You are only worthy of smelling God Carl's fart!"

Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "Hahahaha."

Turn Da Gu Into Soup: "A chief god of a civilization — and this is the way he's been seared into my memory. I'm genuinely sorry."

Lighthouse Richest: "Hahahahaha."

Lighthouse Richest: "You don't look even remotely sorry."

Jokes aside, Tony had a genuine respect for Death Reaper Carl. His talent for research might not necessarily surpass Celestial Base King Hexi's — but his understanding of the Void was definitely beyond the angel civilization.

As for the Ultimate Fear — that was a matter of perspective.

Ge Xiaolun had once simulated a universe with his ambition. Life existed within that small universe, and those living beings had no awareness of Ge Xiaolun — they believed themselves to be real.

Carl and Morgana had almost certainly encountered something similar at some point, and come to the conclusion that the world they inhabited had been created by someone else. Which was why they no longer held life sacred — and why the question of what that creator might do if they chose to destroy their own world had occurred to them.

Though in a way, their world really had been created by someone else — the so-called Ultimate Fear was simply a setting.

Whether it actually existed was hard to say.

If the plot called for it, it appeared. If the plot hadn't reached that point, it wouldn't emerge in a hundred years.

As for the idea that a civilization reaching a certain level would be destroyed — that wasn't impossible either. Setting the plot aside, if their world really had been created by some existence with far more terrifying technology, and those creators had built in a ceiling — a hard limit on civilizational development — then once that limit was reached, a dedicated program would initiate a cleanup.

And that program was what was called the Ultimate Fear.

That was one possibility.

As for Carl's phantom form — he didn't know the specific science behind it, but broadly it was a consciousness body, similar to mental energy but more unique. After all, his research had demonstrated that placing a Taotie's brain into a machine allowed it to live perfectly well — which naturally led him to stop placing any importance on flesh. Discarding the body entirely was no great leap from there.

Bai Xuan had also considered that if Carl's existence were explained without reference to the Fourth Generation Divine Body, it might be better described through the concept of an item spirit from xianxia novels — his consciousness merged with the Clockwork of Time, and what appeared to the outside world was merely the Clockwork's projection.

A projection, naturally, couldn't be destroyed.

But whether it was an item spirit or a consciousness body, both pointed to the same conclusion.

Death Reaper Carl does not, in fact, pass gas. (Laughter.)

Ordinary Group Leader: "Speaking of Carl — @Sacred Guard Left Wing, how's Morgana doing these days?"

Ordinary Group Leader: "She was already getting chased around before — she must be in an even worse position now."

After all, with everything the chat group had access to, the angel civilization's technology had undoubtedly been boosted considerably.

Not to mention — the angel civilization had purchased an Infinity Stone.

Channel its energy into the Celestial Blade Judgment and who could stand against it?

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "Headache .jpg"

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "I had originally planned to draw her into a one-on-one fight and capture her."

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "But she seems to have found out my strength has reached Fourth Generation Divine Body level — she won't even fight me anymore. The moment she sees me, she runs."

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "She's even withdrawn from Earth entirely."

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "Death Reaper Carl probably leaked the information."

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "Considering the Space-Time Rose is on Earth, she'll likely sneak back eventually."

Sacred Guard Left Wing: "We're just waiting for her to walk into the trap."

Tenshi Hikari let out a quiet sigh. She'd actually wanted to spar with Morgana — learn a technique or two about the Spacetime Divine Body from someone who used it firsthand.

Her progress with the Sacred Divine Body had been rapid under Sacred Kesha's guidance — but the Spacetime Divine Body had been created by Liang Bing. And while the Celestial Base King had analyzed the technology behind it and worked out most of its principles, Morgana was still the one who had pioneered it. She understood its characteristics better than anyone.

Ordinary Group Leader: "The Demon Queen Morgana — and in the end she still couldn't escape the fate of being chased from one corner to another."

Ordinary Group Leader: "Her arc with the Rose genuinely moved me. But even so — her ideals feel a little too free for my taste."

Ordinary Group Leader: "I can't get behind it."

Whether it was turning humans into demons, or everything the Sword Demon Ato had done — none of it was something Su Yunqing could accept.

The Oldest Godslayer: "Whether it's Sacred Kesha, Morgana, or Death Reaper Carl — they're all founders of their own order."

The Oldest Godslayer: "Judging them through the lens of your own world's morality is inherently unreasonable."

The Oldest Godslayer: "When all is said and done — it comes down to strength."

The Oldest Godslayer: "The angel civilization is the strongest. Sacred Kesha is the King of Gods. So everyone follows Kesha's order."

Marquis Voban had no objections whatsoever to Morgana's actions. She was a powerhouse. The powerful followed their own order.

From beginning to end, Morgana's order had always been evil, corruption, and freedom.

As for Angel Liang Bing? Was she even the same person as Morgana?

Martial Arts King: "Only the weak follow the order of others."

Grandmaster Luo Hao held the same view. After becoming a Godslayer — could human order truly bind them?

What they followed was only their own will.
