The impact Brax braced himself for never came, as an Arcanine knocked away the incoming projectile and stood between Brax's group and the berserk army.
A woman dressed in a blue uniform was riding the Arcanine as she looked coldly at the Rocket grunts standing at a distance.
"You two did great. Now take it easy."
She turned around and praised the two officers for their effort.
"Bahaha! It was nothing. Now with you here, let's quickly take down these numbskulls!"
"You buffoon! What do you mean it was nothing? We almost died!"
Lax shouted as he got off Rhyhorn's back. He then collapsed on the ground.
Now with Jenny here, his cowardly persona returned. He then started bickering with Brax, but Jenny had long since removed her attention from them.
The army in front of her wouldn't just let them catch up, after all.
In their madness, they didn't care about the imposing Arcanine in front of them and charged forward. But they found out that they couldn't move at all.
Psychic-type energy covered the area, preventing them from moving, as an Alakazam teleported beside Jenny.
"That's it! That is the Pokémon preventing Kadabra's teleport from working!"
The Rocket grunt got up and shouted.
"We need to take it down, then we can escape!"
Noticing the strength of that Alakazam and Arcanine, he didn't hesitate as he injected the 5 Advanced Level Pokémon with the drug, causing them to go berserk.
He then had Kadabra transport the cages towards Jenny and then open them, causing the Pokémon to fall in front of her.
Flygon, Vaporeon, Tauros, Heracross, Kangaskhan.
They looked disoriented for a moment before setting their eyes on Jenny.
The berserk Pokémon interestingly didn't attack each other, despite their irrationality.
Jenny frowned as she saw this. Not because she was concerned about their strength, no. But because she was angry. She gave the two grunts a death stare, ignoring the Pokémon in front of her.
"Oh shit! Miss Jenny is angry."
Brax showed a rare, frightful expression.
"Those guys are screwed."
Jenny unclasped 4 more Poké Balls from her belt and released four more Pokémon.
Arcanine, Venasaur, Alakazam, Luxray, Lycanrock, Machamp.
All of them at the Advanced level!
The pressure she was giving off multiplied manyfold as she was now surrounded by six powerful Pokémon.
"F*ck! We need to get out of here while they stall her."
"Wouldn't it be better to focus on her Alakazam? Trying to escape this way has a very low chance of working."
"Idiot. Can't you see the pressure radiating from that thing? It would be different if we could control these Pokémon, but in their berserk state, they are no match."
As if to prove what he was saying, the 12 injured Pokémon were taken out in one move by the Alakazam, who used its psychic energy to knock them out.
Jenny did not avert her gaze from the grunts at all, leaving the army to her Pokémon. Her fierce gaze sent a shiver down their spines.
"Bahaha! You dumb thugs. You have no idea what you are in for." Brax shouted from the side.
Officer Jenny then started walking towards the grunts, ignoring all the advanced-level Pokémon coming at her.
Tauros charged towards her, but was grabbed by Venasaur's vines and held in the air.
Each of her Pokémon took on one of the berserk Pokémon, while her Arcanine silently followed her as she walked towards the thugs, not breaking her stride one bit.
"Stop wasting time and let's go! We are toast otherwise!"
The grunt said as he unclasped a Poké Ball from his belt and released a Taurus.
The other grunt did the same and also called out a Taurus.
"Now, who permitted you to run away?"
Jenny said as she hopped on top of Arcanine's back.
Before the Tauros could move even 10 meters, Arcanine already ran past them and stopped in front of them.
"Dammit! It is just one Pokémon! Let's take it down!"
"Ya! If we can take it down before her other Pokémon are free, we can capture her as a hostage."
Brax, who had surprisingly sharp hearing, heard them and just started laughing hysterically.
Lax kept asking what was wrong, but Brax couldn't stop laughing to reply to him.
The grunt released 3 Pokémon each. Counting the 2 Tauros, there were 8 Pokémon against Jenny's Arcanine.
Two Arbok, a Kadabra, A Golbat, and two Ekans.
Except for the Ekans, all of them were at an intermediate level.
Officer Jenny tapped Arcanine's back, signalling it to take down the Pokémon in front of it.
Arcanine growled as it unleashed a breath of fire. The attack hit one of the Arbok, leaving its body burnt black like charcoal as it passed out.
Arcanine then lunged at the other Arbok, gracefully dodging the attacks launched at it with Kadabra and Golbat.
It bit the Arbok with its fangs covered in flames. The Arbok couldn't withstand it, and passed out in one hit as well. Arcanine then turned its head and fired a flamethrower at the flying Golbat, knocking it down.
Kadabra could not teleport because of Alakazam, severely limiting its mobility. It too was taken down by Arcanine easily.
"Dammit!"
The two grunts shouted in unison as they saw the Arcanine lunge at them.
They promptly hopped off its back and rolled on the ground.
One of the grunts was greeted by a shocking sight when he looked up -- he saw Officer Jenny's knee coming at him for a brief second, then his vision went blank as he was knocked out.
That's right. She had hit him with a flying knee!
Officer Jenny then sat on top of the grunt, held him by the collar with her left arm, and slapped him awake with her right.
Whack!
"Aggh! Y-you crazy woman! Ger of--"
Whack!
"F*ck! You Bit--"
Whack!
"Stop or else I--"
Bam!
The last one was a punch. She didn't hold back at all, making the grunt lose two of his teeth.
"We are just getting started. I will have you pay for all of the atrocities you two have committed."
While she was busy beating the grunt, one of the Ekans had sneaked up on her and lunged at her. But Officer Jenny moved her body to the right, as if she had eyes on her back, making the Ekans completely miss!
She then grabbed its neck with her hand, which was shrouded by a white aura, and flung the Ekans in Arcanine's direction.
That's right, she had used Chi!
"What the hell are you?!"
"Someone who will make you regret committing such atrocities for the rest of your life."
Whack!
She used chi with the final slap, knocking out the grunt as she got up and dusted her uniform.
She then looked towards the other grunt who was trying to escape.
"If you don't want to go through the same thing as this guy, I suggest you don't move."
A chill ran down the grunt's spine as he stopped moving and raised his hands to show his surrender.
Things seemed to settle down as her Pokémon finished their respective battles.
"Kai and Eric are taking too long." She said to Brax and Lax as she put handcuffs on one of the grunts.
"One of you call Kai and see where he i--GET DOWN!"
Jenny suddenly shouted as she ducked down. Her Alakazam created a psychic shield around them as a huge air current struck them.
"You league police have quite the guts. There aren't many who would dare mess with one of my experiments."
A voice boomed in the passage as a man with green hair slowly walked towards them.
He was dressed in an all-black uniform, with a black and red cape that had the symbol of Team Rocket engraved on it.
A Skarmory flew leisurely behind him.
The grunt who was still awake gulped in panic.
"S-Sir Viper...he's here..."
