Chapter 5 - Dream

Night fell.

Ivor walked around in his small cabin, tidying it up before sitting down on the bed. A few minutes passed as he blankly stared at the door.

Still no lead on him, this is becoming bothersome.

He let out a long, heavy sigh and plopped onto his bed. Staring at the ceiling, his vision began to blur. Letting out a yawn he succumbed to his drowsiness and fell asleep.

**********

Ivor began twitching as he felt his heart sink. He opened his eyes and froze at the sight infornt of him.

He was outside, and plumes of fire and ash raced across the forest. Embers jumped from plume to plume setting the entire forest ablaze.

Ivor looked around, the corners of his eyes began to darken. Everywhere he looked, countless people laid in pools of blood. Buildings destroyed, reduced to ruble and splinters on the cold, snow filled forest.

Ivor took short heavy breath as he felt a sharp burning sensation on his fingers. When he turned his head, his heart nearly stopped working all together.

His father lay before him, bleeding and clutching Ivor's tiny hands. Before he could register what he was looking at his father squeezed his hands sending a jolt of pain across his body.

He let out a terrible scream that made the crackling of the forest fire seem a light whisper flowing with the wind.

"Be a damn man," his father said.

Tears streamed down Ivor's face as he struggled to get himself loose of the dying man's incredible grip.

"What are you waiting for, kill him and avenge our family," his father gurgled as blood flow out of his mouth like a fountain.

Ivor tried his best to pull his hand out but his father's grip was firm. A sword fell in front of Ivor catching his attention as he looked up.

A boy stood infront of him, no older than 18. His snow white hair looked like a beacon of hope in the fire that surrounded them. Ivor looked into his deep blue eyes.

The boy walked forward while smiling, a warm and welcoming smile. Ivor felt a cold chill run down his spin. A chill not born from the body submitting to the cold, but a chill born from the human instinct react to absolute danger.

"Go ahead. Pick it up and kill me, but know that your actions will be protecting those who truly caused you this suffering," the boy said in a sickly sweet tone.

Ivor remained frozen, unable to utter a single word. The boy shifted his body, trying to look as non threatening as possible before extending his hand forward.

" I apologize for my manners. It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Sylvio Frost," he introduced himself.

Looking down at the dead man Sylvio then spoke, "Oh! So this is your father. Then you must be the famous Ivor I've heard about. The weakest child of the Faust Bloodline."

Ivor's hands began to shake uncontrollably. Sylvio let out a sigh and began walking away.

"I hope to see you again in the future. If you make it out of this little runt," he said as a small green haired boy ran after him.

He snapped back to reality, before he could yell at Sylvio, his vision went completely black.

************

Ivor lunged out of bed gasping for air and drenched in sweat.

That damn dream again

He reached out his hand and felt around for a cloth and eventually found it. He wiped away his sweat and tossed aside the sword before getting out of bed.

He looked around the small cabin. A scowl formed on the corner of his lips before disappearing. He grabbed his under armor and put it on.

Silence loaned in the forest.

Why did he attack my village back then... I wonder if I'll get the chance to ask before I kill him.

Ivor chuckled. Crunch!! Ivor froze before glancing at the walls.

Someones outside, maybe two of them.

He reached for his daggers by his feet and placed them on his back a grabbing his sword. He slowly opened the door. It was already day break.

Did I sleep for too long?

He slowly walks out and stands outside of his cabin. What followed was a deafening silence as Ivor tried to use his enhance sensing to pick up anything unusual.

SWISH!!! An axe came flying at him but he hears it coming and swiftly blocks it, almost missing it by a inch as it landed a few feet behind him.

Ivor looked up as two figures clad in white appeared holding a very long chain.

" It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Mau and beside me is my brother Moi. Lord Sylvio sent us. He said you'd provide excellent entertainment."
