Leo looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was almost time for Isabella to return home. He glanced at himself and felt disgusted by all the sweat he had accumulated over the past hours after the original owner's death.
He stood up and went to the bathroom to take a shower before Isabella returned.
While he was in the bathroom, he heard the front door open—it was probably his sister. He quickly finished his shower, got dressed, and stepped out with his hair still wet.
When Leo exited the bathroom, he saw a young girl with blonde hair and green eyes. Although she appeared slightly undernourished, she was still beautiful.
She looked healthier than him, and at that moment, he realized the determination the original owner had in taking care of his sister. He would rather starve than let her go hungry.
That realization strengthened Leo's resolve even further—to give Isabella the life of a queen.
She was sitting on the couch watching TV when she saw her brother come out of the bathroom. He looked better than he had the day before, when she had feared he might collapse. He stared at her as if it were the first time seeing her, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Hey, Isabella, how are you? I'll prepare dinner—wait half an hour and we can eat," he said, looking at her.
"Thanks, Leo, I'm fine. I'm just a bit tired after studying all day," she replied, watching him walk toward the small kitchen area in the corner of the room where they prepared their meals.
"Thank God there are still some leftovers this month, so Isabella and I can eat for a couple more days. But after that, I'll need to earn more," he thought as he cooked.
After half an hour of preparing a simple meal, Leo called Isabella, and they ate together.
During the meal, Leo suddenly became overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry.
At first, he felt confused, but then he realized—these were the lingering emotions of the original owner. He looked at his sister, who was eating only a small portion, yet she ate as if it were the best meal in the world.
Isabella noticed him crying. She stood up, walked behind him, and hugged him from behind.
"Isabella, I'm sorry I haven't done enough… and that I've made you eat so little," Leo said.
"Leo, never say that again!!!" she replied angrily, tears in her eyes.
"Brother, I know everything you've done for me. I couldn't ask for a better brother, so please don't ever say that again," she cried.
"Sister, I promise that from now on, our lives will be better. We'll become rich. Thank you for staying with me through all these difficult times," he said with determination.
"Leo, I've never doubted you," she said with a smile.
They hugged for a few more minutes before separating to wash the dishes.
After cleaning up, Isabella went to the only private bedroom in the apartment. Leo had given it to her because girls needed privacy. She went there to study.
Meanwhile, Leo took a futon and placed it in front of the TV, where he eventually lay down.
Reflecting on his emotional outburst, he realized that he now carried all the personal feelings of the original owner of this body.
Exhausted, he murmured to himself, "Today has been a crazy day," before slowly falling asleep.
