'I don't think you're ready to hear this,' it answered at long last, its voice lower and softer than anything I had heard since it started speaking earlier.
But instead of calming me down, it only made my irritation spike harder.
"I won't ask again," the words left my mouth immediately after it spoke, sharp and final.
