I pushed myself toward the bathroom, each step unsteady, heat clinging to my skin like it had nowhere else to go.
I tugged at my clothes without thinking, like they were part of the problem.
This wasn't familiar. Not like the fleeting sexual urge that came and went, something you could ignore if you tried.
My body was fully aroused, tight with tension and restlessness.
I gripped the edge of the sink, breath uneven, fingers tightening.

The name slipped out, quiet but heavy, as if my body had already chosen before my mind could catch up.
I turned the shower to freezing and stepped under it. The water hit hard, cold enough to sting, but it didn't touch the heat inside me.
