Chapter 133 - Chapter 132: The Curse Killer

A week later, Gojo Satoru's promise came true; Rin finally obtained mission authorization from Jujutsu High, officially beginning his mission career.

During this period, the frequency of Cursed Spirits appearing was unusually high, and hidden Curse Users emerged one after another.

Rin was busy almost every day, as soon as one mission ended, a new request would follow.

Although busy, he enjoyed it, as every battle was an opportunity to improve his strength.

The only regret was that no more Special Grade Cursed Spirits appeared.

The newly emerged Special Grade in Osaka and Jogo seemed to have vanished into thin air.

After all, Special Grade Cursed Spirits are not common, and even with the current special circumstances, it was impossible to encounter them daily.

At this moment, inside an abandoned building in the city's outskirts, three figures were packing their belongings.

The building was dilapidated and uninhabitable, yet they had set up a tent in an open space, and judging by the traces, they had been hiding there for some time.

"Hey, what are you still standing there for? Hurry up and pack your things and let's go!"

The woman's voice was cold, and her expression serious, clearly the leader of this kidnapping group.

She stuffed the last item into her backpack and scanned the other two men.

One of the middle-aged men was staring at his phone screen, excitedly rubbing his hands as he saw the huge sum of money deposited into his bank account:

"This job was a huge score! I didn't expect that fat guy to be worth so much."

"That's all you're good for."

The woman looked disdainful:

"The money's in, don't dawdle, let's go."

The middle-aged man reined in his smile and quickly sped up his packing.

But the tall man by the window didn't move, still staring out, nervously observing the movements outside.

"What are you still standing there for?"

The woman urged.

The tall man then uneasily turned around, but couldn't help but glance out the window twice more.

Only to see a few small birds.

"Ha, you're not scared by ghost stories, are you?"

Seeing this, the middle-aged man couldn't help but mock.

He dragged a corpulent corpse out of a large box, it was the wealthy man they had kidnapped.

"You mean, a Jujutsu Sorcerer is after us?"

The woman frowned, her tone carrying a hint of wariness.

"Just one Jujutsu Sorcerer."

The tall man's voice was tight as he added:

"He's wiped out the entire newly emerged Curse User group recently."

"How is that possible? Your stories are too far-fetched, that guy isn't Gojo Satoru."

The middle-aged man scoffed, throwing the corpse to the ground.

The woman also shook her head:

"One person taking out an entire Curse User group? It's illogical."

"That's because he's as fast as lightning; I heard he doesn't even need to make a move to take down a large number of people."

The tall man hastily explained, a trace of fear in his voice:

"You're not a Jujutsu Sorcerer, you don't understand how terrifying those people are. Our kidnapping of a wealthy man and extorting some money is nothing to them."

He swallowed hard and continued:

"I heard, once..."

"Have you said enough?"

The woman coldly interrupted him:

"If we dally any longer, it'll be trouble if a Jujutsu Sorcerer really comes."

"Sigh, I just heard it from a colleague."

The tall man spread his hands helplessly:

"Anyone who goes against him ends up vanishing. He's known as the 'Curse Killer'."

"There's no one that powerful."

The woman clearly didn't believe him, she was the first to shoulder her backpack and head towards the door:

"Let's go quickly, once we have the money, we'll find another place, don't overthink things here."

The tall man wanted to say more, but the middle-aged man pulled him:

"Stop being dramatic, how can it be that mysterious? If there were really powerful Jujutsu Sorcerers, we'd be dead already. Hurry up, grab the money and run, don't wait for Jujutsu High to catch up."

The two quickly followed the woman's footsteps, heading out of the building.

Just then, the crows outside the window suddenly cawed, their cries shrill, breaking the surrounding silence.

"You know his nickname, 'The Curse Killer', right?"

The tall man couldn't help but turn back, his voice trembling:

"No one who sees those blood-red eyes bloom can live..."

"That's ridiculous! Who told you all this?"

The middle-aged man said impatiently.

But as soon as he finished speaking, a cold voice suddenly sounded from behind them, like a whisper from hell:

"You're right, there really is such a person."

The three of them froze instantly, every hair on their bodies standing on end.

Slowly turning around, they saw a girl in a Jujutsu High uniform standing outside the building, a long sword in her hand gleaming coldly, it was Maki.

"Who are you?"

The leading woman feigned composure, her hand subtly reaching for the weapon at her waist.

Maki adopted a fighting stance, her tone icy:

"The one here to clean you up."

Seeing that the newcomer was just a young girl without Cursed Energy, the middle-aged man quickly calmed down and sneered:

"Just a brat from Jujutsu High, daring to scare us? You're asking for death!"

The tall man, however, was full of vigilance:

"Be careful, she might not be joking."

"Stop talking nonsense! It's just her, kill her and let's go!"

The woman's tone was disdainful, she raised her hand to give the order.

Maki smiled calmly:

"Is that so? Then take a closer look."

The next second, Rin's figure slowly emerged from the shadows behind her.

His blood-red pupils flickered with a cold light in the gloom, and the oppressive aura around him was suffocating.

"The Curse Killer... those eyes... it's him!"

The tall man's face instantly turned ashen, his legs went weak and he almost collapsed:

"He really came!"

The middle-aged man also panicked, his hands and feet trembling as he shielded the woman behind him:

"You... you don't come closer! We just wanted money, we didn't provoke you..."

Rin stared at them quietly, without any response, his blood-red pupils showing no ripple, as if he was looking at three insignificant objects.

The middle-aged man was driven mad by this dead silent oppression, and suddenly activated a Cursed Technique, a flying knife appeared out of thin air, pointing directly at Rin's glabella:

"Die!"

"Watch out!" Maki shouted urgently.

But before her words finished, the middle-aged man's raised hand hadn't fully straightened when a bloody hole suddenly burst open in his head, blood mixed with brain matter splattering.

His body fell stiffly, his eyes still wide open, full of disbelief.

The remaining two were completely terrified, their mouths agape, unable to even scream. They hadn't seen how Rin made his move; he hadn't moved at all, nor had they felt the slightest Cursed Energy fluctuation.

The tall man reacted, turning to run out of the building.

Maki immediately drew her sword, about to give chase, when she saw the man's forehead also suddenly explode, his body crashing heavily to the ground, lifeless.

The leading woman was scared out of her wits, falling to the ground with a "thud" and repeatedly kowtowing:

"I surrender! I confess! Please don't kill me!"

Maki lowered her long sword, her brows slightly furrowed.

This woman was just an ordinary person; according to Jujutsu High rules, she should be handed over to the police. Jujutsu High was only responsible for eradicating Curse Users and Cursed Spirits.

She stepped forward, preparing to restrain the woman.

But the moment Maki approached, the woman's head also suddenly exploded.

Warm blood splattered on Maki's face, carrying a strong metallic smell.

Maki froze, instinctively raising her hand to wipe the blood from her face, then turned to look at Rin.

Rin remained calm, as if he had just stepped on three ants.

She heard him slowly say, "This story was pretty good."

After speaking, he didn't even glance at the corpses on the ground, turning and walking out of the building.

"Rin!"

Maki couldn't help but call out to him, her voice filled with shock and confusion:

"She was just an ordinary person; according to the rules, she should be handed over to the police, why did you..."

"Rules?"

Rin stopped, without turning back, his voice flat and calm:

"They killed someone, they should pay the price."

"But Jujutsu High has regulations, we cannot arbitrarily execute Non-Sorcerers!"

Maki quickly walked in front of him, blocking his path, her face full of seriousness:

"Even if they are guilty, they should be judged by the law, not privately executed by you!"

Rin looked up at her, his blood-red pupils unwavering:

"Can the law give justice to the dead? By the time the process is over, someone might have already bailed her out, allowing her to continue committing evil."

"But not in this way!"

Maki tightened her grip on her sword, "We are Jujutsu Sorcerers, protectors of Non-Sorcerers, not executioners who kill indiscriminately!"

"I only know that they got what they deserved."

Rin walked around her, continuing forward:

"Their hands are stained with the blood of innocents, they shouldn't expect to leave alive."

Maki looked at his resolute back, momentarily speechless.

She knew there was some truth to what Rin said, but that kind of sudden killing still sent a chill down her spine.

Rin walked out of the building, the sunlight was blinding, but he didn't show any discomfort.

In the Divine Tree Space, Sukuna's voice sounded with amusement:

"Well done, that's more like it. Weak rules only bind oneself."

Rin ignored him, unconsciously rubbing his fingertips. He didn't care about rules, nor did he care what others thought.

To him, clearing away these evils was both a mission and a personal reckoning.

Maki looked at the three corpses on the ground, then at Rin's receding figure.

She knew that after this incident, there seemed to be another insurmountable barrier between her and Rin.

But as she instinctively bent down and moved the woman's hand from beneath her body.

She suddenly discovered that the woman, hidden behind her, was tightly clutching a loaded pistol, its muzzle pointed in the direction Maki had just approached.

She hadn't noticed it at all! The woman had been kneeling and begging for mercy on the surface, but in reality, she had already prepared to retaliate. If Maki had moved even half a step closer, she would have been shot by this gun.

And Rin, apparently, had seen through the woman's disguise long ago.

"So... you already knew."

Maki's voice was a little dry; her earlier doubts about Rin now transformed into complex emotions.

She looked at the dark muzzle of the gun, remembered the blood splattered on her face, and suddenly understood that behind Rin's "cruelty" lay unspoken protection.
