Ren and Kulu approached the bed. Both males looked washed and relaxed, wearing loose, comfortable shirts.
Ren paused at the edge of the mattress, his blue eyes softening as he took in the sight of Hana, the sleeping babies, and Raiden curling around her hip like a needy guard dog.
"Caspian has completed the outer aerial sweep," Ren reported quietly, stepping closer to tuck a stray edge of the blanket over little Elias in his cot. "The eastern ridge is completely clear. He'll be back inside as soon as he finishes scaling off the excess heat in the lower courtyard."
Kulu glided around to the other side of the bed, his golden eyes filled with quiet, unshakeable devotion as he sat on the edge of the mattress, his large, warm hand coming to rest over Hana's bare knee. "How are you feeling?"
