Caspian let out a soft rumble of agreement and began to slowly pull away, reaching for the soft towels she had left on the rocks.
Hana watched him, her hand resting on her abdomen where the faint swell was warm.
She found herself thinking of the feeling of something 'eating' inside her. This thing, this baby, it wasn't normal.
Well, if it was going to be born in one month, it can't exactly be normal. But she didn't hate it. She found herself grinning.
"Did you have a good meal?" she muttered.
The slight swell of her stomach seemed to pulse in response, a soft, warm ripple under her palm that felt almost like a tiny nod of agreement.
