BOOM!
An even more formidable aura erupted across the arena, reaching the Initial Stage of the Sixth Tier. As this power surged, the clouds scattered, the winds roared, and thunder rolled through the void—it felt as if the apocalypse itself had arrived.
The one unleashing this pressure was Joel, the silver fox from Universe 8. Beyond his raw power, his spiritual dimension had transcended that of a mortal, reaching the level of Earth's Guardian.
But the tremors on the stage were far from over. No sooner had Joel revealed his strength than another ancient, primal aura burst forth.
It was Harry, the mummy from Universe 5. His power similarly sat at the Initial Stage of the Sixth Tier, with a spiritual dimension equal to Joel's.
Watching these two reveal their true colors, the other Gods of Destruction were left speechless. Is this the true depth of universes with a Mortal Level above 7? Terrifying!
"Impressive stuff. I guess it's my turn then!"
Blair, the golden sea-beast from Universe 12, stepped forward. With his crab-like head and octopus-like body, all shimmering in gold, he cut a bizarre figure. As his voice trailed off, the world didn't explode with sound.
Instead, an eerie, infinite suction force—like a black hole devouring a planet—manifested around him. It felt as though it could grind the very fabric of existence into nothingness.
Blair's power had reached the Peak of the Sixth Tier!
Upon sensing Blair's true strength, the spectators erupted into chaos. "W-What?!"
"How is this possible?! Besides that, Gran guy, someone else actually reached this level?!"
"No, look at his dimension! His spiritual plane is even more exaggerated than the candidates from Universes 5 and 8. He's reached the level of King Yemma! He's a dual-cultivator of both dimension and raw power!"
Over in the Universe 7 stands, Beerus and Champa were slightly taken aback. They hadn't expected the representative from Universe 12 to be such a monster.
However, Universe 12 was ranked second in the multiverse and had spent ten years meticulously preparing for this Battle Royale. If you factored in the Time Chamber, they had likely trained for centuries. Their strength was logical, if formidable.
Despite the shock, the twin brothers remained eerily calm. Their confidence in Gran was unshakable.
"If that sea-beast is that strong, how powerful is that golden lion?" Beerus muttered, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the representative from Universe 1. His anticipation was reaching a fever pitch.
On the arena stage, almost all the candidates had now revealed their hands:
Rosa (U2): Mid-Stage Tier 5 (Godly Realm).
Belloc (U3): Initial Stage Tier 5 (Godly Realm).
Harry (U5): Initial Stage Tier 6 (Godly Realm).
Joel (U8): Initial Stage Tier 6 (Godly Realm).
Primo (U10): Initial Stage Tier 5 (Godly Realm).
Blair (U12): Peak Stage Tier 6 (Godly Realm).
The candidates exchanged wary Grances. The upcoming clash promised to be a bloodbath.
"You guys are actually half-decent," Gran said, narrowing his eyes as he felt the waves of power crashing against him. In terms of pure energy, these fighters finally had the right to stand in the same ring as him.
"Lord Gran... these guys are all yours," Hit muttered, his face still pale. He knew Gran's true strength had actually reached the Seventh Tier.
"Don't worry. I've got this." Gran turned his gaze toward Bert the lion and Jiren. "And what about you two?"
Gran still wasn't sure about Bert's ceiling, but he had a good guess regarding Jiren. He likely sat somewhere around the Fifth Tier.
Bert Granced at Jiren. "Stop hiding. Show us what you've got."
Jiren's brow was furrowed. The situation had spiraled far beyond his expectations. He realized that among this group of monsters, he was actually near the bottom. With a deep breath, he stopped suppressing his ki and let it explode. As expected, his power settled at the Initial Stage of the Fifth Tier.
Seeing this, the lips of several candidates twitched. Their Gods had told them that Universe 11 possessed a mortal stronger than a God of Destruction. They had expected a titan; instead, they got... this.
Belmod, the clown Destroyer, looked like he wanted to crawl into a hole. He could practically feel the mocking gazes of the other Gods. He was the one who had bragged the loudest, yet his universe was currently the weakest on the field. It was humiliating.
"Your turn," Gran said, looking at Bert with a meaningful stare. "What are you waiting for? If you wait any longer, I'm going to start the party without you."
The other Gods also fixed their eyes on Bert. Just how strong was the top-ranked universe's candidate?
"What's the rush?"
Bert suddenly shifted his form. The lion-man morphed into a human shape—long golden hair, piercing emerald eyes, and a handsome, Western-looking face. Clad in Destroyer-candidate vestments, he radiated a pressure so intense it was suffocating.
"Watch closely!" Bert growled.
BOOM!
The sky and earth instantly lost their color. It felt like a universal Big Bang—endless light, endless pressure, and a sheer, absolute volume of power. The aura expanded outward like a tidal wave, obliterating everything in its path.
The section of the stage they were on, already fractured, was wiped out of existence by the sheer wake of his power. In that split second, Gran grabbed Hit by the scruff of his neck and instant-transmitted them away. They reappeared over a section of the arena covered by a vast ocean that had yet to be touched by the fighting.
"L-Lord Gran... that power just now!" Hit stammered as he found his footing on the water's surface. "That didn't feel like the Sixth Tier at all!"
As an assassin, Hit rarely showed emotion, but Bert's power had completely shattered his composure.
"You're right. It wasn't the Sixth Tier. That guy has reached the Initial Stage of the Seventh Tier."
In the stands, the Gods of Destruction looked like they had seen a ghost. Jaws dropped; eyes bugged out. Even Beerus and Champa looked stunned. Even the Angels were visibly surprised by Bert's reveal.
"Hahaha!" Iwan, the furry Destroyer of Universe 1, laughed hysterically. "I told you! I told you you'd be surprised once Bert stopped holding back!"
As his laughter echoed, the other Gods snapped out of their daze. "Damn it! Pure Seventh Tier power?!"
"How can a mortal possess that much energy?!"
"Wait, his dimension is like Blair's—it's at the King Yemma level. But that doesn't make sense... if Beerus's candidate reached Peak Tier 6 because he has a Peak Godly Dimension, how the hell can this lion have Seventh Tier power with a lower dimension?"
"Does this mean Universe 1 has already won?"
It wasn't just the Destroyers; even the Supreme Kais were shouting in disbelief.
"Lord Beerus, this is..." Old Kai stammered, panicking.
Beerus glared at him. "What are you panicking for? If you're going to worry, worry about whether Gran is going to end up killing every single one of those candidates!"
"Exactly," Champa added, surprisingly relaxed. "I'm just worried about how we're going to clean up the mess once Gran kills them all." Champa wasn't worried about the win—he was just glad Hit was under Gran's protection.
At the very center of the stands, Zen-Oh clapped his hands. "Another Seventh Tier candidate! This is going to be so much fun!"
The Grand Minister's lip twitched. Fun? It's just Seventh Tier power. Compared to Gran, he's still miles away. This is going to be a slaughter.
Back on the ocean stage, Gran and Hit had barely settled when the other eight candidates descended from the sky, surrounding them once again. Before attacking, the others stared at Bert in awe. Seventh Tier power... was that really a height a mortal could reach?
Jiren felt the most bitter. Belmod had ordered him to torture Gran and then win it all. But how was he supposed to do that when one opponent was Peak Tier 6, and the other was Initial Tier 7? He was outclassed.
"I'm warning you all one last time," Bert said, his eyes scanning the group. "Until these two are eliminated, keep your schemes to yourselves. Stop wasting time. Move!"
He raised a hand, aiming it directly at Gran. A spark of purple light ignited in his palm.
Hakai.
The other candidates gasped. The lion was going for a total erasure right out of the gate. Following his lead, Jiren and the others also raised their hands, each manifesting a spark of purple Destruction Energy. Clearly, all eight had grasped the Power of Destruction.
Hummm—!
The brilliant purple glow intensified, and the aura of Destruction saturated the air, causing the ocean beneath them to churn into massive, violent waves. Seeing this, the other Gods stopped worrying about Bert's power and started grinning. Beerus's candidate is done for!
"This is bad!" Hit gulped, sweat pouring down his face. He raised his own hand, a purple glow appearing in his palm, hoping to counter the combined assault.
"Let me handle it." Gran gently pushed Hit's hand down.
Hit was terrified, but he obeyed. At this point, he had to trust Gran.
"Hakai!"
"Hakai!"
The eight candidates unleashed their Destruction Energy simultaneously. Eight beams of purple light converged from all directions, carrying an aura that felt capable of erasing all of creation.
"Lord Gran!!" Hit cried out. Gran still hadn't moved, and the beams were inches away. If they were hit, they would be erased from existence entirely!
"Don't panic," Gran said, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "This is just basic Destruction Energy. They haven't even touched the level of 'Rules' yet. You think this can kill me?"
Gran raised his hand and spoke a single word:
"Hakai."
VROOOM!
A far deeper, more terrifying shade of purple erupted from Gran's hand. The moment that light appeared, it was as if a bolt of lightning struck the minds of the Angels. They all stood up in unison.
"That... that is the First Level of Destruction Rules!" Awamo of Universe 1 gasped.
Sawa of Universe 2 gripped her staff so hard her knuckles turned white. "How? He's actually trained his Destruction power to the 'Rule' level?!"
"That means," Campari of Universe 3 whispered in shock, "on top of Angel-level Ultra Instinct, he also possesses the true Rules of Destruction? What kind of monster is this?!"
The Destroyers and Supreme Kais were even more hysterical. "Impossible!" Belmod screamed. "They only had ten years! How can someone master the Rules of Destruction in ten years?!"
Quitela's voice was trembling. "He's insane... if he used a Time Chamber, there's nothing in there to destroy! That means he mastered the Rules in the outside world... in just a few years!"
Iwan looked like his head was about to explode. "Peak Godly Dimension, Peak Sixth Tier power, Fourth Level physical instincts... and now Destruction Rules? With a toolkit like that, who the hell can stop him?"
The tables had turned so fast that it gave the spectators whiplash. Seconds ago, they were celebrating Gran's imminent erasure. Now, their hearts had plummeted from heaven to hell. A battle isn't just about raw power; it's about mastery. And Gran's mastery was leagues beyond anyone on that field.
"Hahaha!" Champa jeered at the other stands. "Now do you see why I partnered with Universe 7? Because my brother's candidate is a terror beyond your wildest imagination!"
"Hey, you fat pig, can you stop hogging the spotlight? I haven't even started bragging yet!" Beerus chuckled, then turned to the other ten stands with a wild, manic grin.
"You really think this is his limit? I've got news for you... He's just getting started!"
As Beerus spoke, the pupils of the other Gods contracted. Not his limit? There's more?!
BOOM!
A tidal wave of dread washed over the spectators. Was this guy even mortal?
