Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Body Is Out of Control

In the darkness, a hand quietly pushed the door open, and a cold gaze fell upon Alex.

Alex broke into a cold sweat, his Vibration Skill ready to be activated in his palm at any moment.

Just then, the hand opening the door was grabbed by another hand. The two people outside the door exchanged a few low-voiced words, and then the door was closed.

Though confused, Alex immediately let out a long sigh of relief. He hadn't expected to encounter such a thing on his first night after transmigrating. This world really wasn't as safe as he had imagined. But who exactly was the person trying to attack him?

"The one who stopped the door from opening just now must have been Freya."

Alex's brow furrowed. The identity of this cheap guardian of his seemed to be somewhat mysterious.

Without a doubt, what he had felt just now was killing intent. The visitor had ill intentions toward him and likely wanted to finish him off while he was sleeping. Freya's appearance had saved him just in time, but Freya also knew that person, and the two seemed quite familiar. This made him unable to understand the relationship between them.

After thinking for a moment, Alex made a rather impulsive decision. He wanted to eavesdrop on the conversation between that person and Freya.

Almost being killed for no reason left a surge of anger in Alex's heart. If he didn't first figure out the identity of the person who wanted to kill him, he feared he might be inexplicably assassinated while walking down the street in the future.

He walked to the bedroom door and listened for a while. There was no movement outside, so Alex opened the door. If the other party happened to be in the living room, Freya would surely be there too. At that time, he could use the excuse of going to the bathroom to brush it off. With Freya there, the other party wouldn't act recklessly.

When the door opened, the living room was empty and pitch black.

Alex moved his steps carefully and arrived at the door of Freya's room, eavesdropping on the movement inside through the door. Freya's room was right next to his, only a few steps away.

Pressing his ear against the door, Alex vaguely heard some words.

"...Why would you do such a thing!"

It seemed to be Freya's angry questioning.

A woman's voice said calmly, "He's a bit different today. Everyone is uneasy about having a man like that stay by your side."

"You're monitoring me?" Freya was in disbelief. After being stunned for a long while, she said dejectedly, "Alex finally forgave me. You're not allowed to act recklessly. I promise not to cross the line, that's all."

Freya's tone was tinged with a bit of helplessness and frustration.

"Fine," the woman said flatly.

Alex held his breath. Seeing that their conversation was almost over, he left quietly.

He didn't return to his room but instead left the villa directly.

Bypassing the surveillance, he found a hidden corner not far from the villa and hid. From this position, he could see most of his house and the main entrance.

Alex was waiting for the other party to leave.

He wasn't trying to strike first, though he wouldn't mind doing so if given the chance, since the other party wanted to kill him. However, the person who wanted to kill him might be a professional assassin. Although Alex had a small ability, he wasn't arrogant enough to think he could compete with a professional assassin. He might be killed in a single encounter.

He just wanted to see the other party's appearance clearly to be alert in the future and avoid being assassinated in a daze.

There were streetlights at the entrance of where Freya lived. If the other party came out from the main entrance, he could see their appearance from this position, while his hiding spot in the shadows would make it impossible for him to be discovered.

After waiting for less than two minutes, he saw the door of his house open. A woman in black walked out. After looking left and right, she walked toward the road on the left. Under the streetlight was a cold and exquisite face.

Alex breathed a sigh of relief. Leaving through the main entrance meant this person's abilities weren't exceptionally high—at least she couldn't fly over walls. Of course, it also didn't rule out that she was very close to Freya and didn't need to jump out of a window.

Suddenly, the woman stopped her pace and turned her head, staring suspiciously at the place where Alex was hiding.

Alex reacted quickly, immediately pulling his head back, but his face was full of disbelief.

He couldn't understand. To ensure his safety, he had tried to hide far enough away, and it was night. How exactly had the other party sensed his presence? Why hadn't he been discovered while eavesdropping in the house earlier?

But it was too late to think about that now. If the other party really wanted to kill him, then he could only find a way to run for his life.

Alex couldn't help but tighten his grip on the stick. Behind him was a dead end; if he wanted to escape, he could only go forward.

Footsteps quietly approached. In the silent night, it felt strangely intimidating. Alex even vaguely heard the slight sound of a gun being cocked.

His body stiffened, and he felt a bit cold. Did the other party have firearms? Then how was he supposed to fight?

Alex couldn't help but regret his recklessness, but the footsteps were becoming clearer now. He didn't have time to think about anything else. After a deep breath, he gripped the stick with both hands, intending to fight for his life.

Suddenly, Alex remembered something. With a thought, he took out the bag of cement from his inventory space.

He thought to himself, "Since it came from a chest, it must have at least some use."

Hearing the footsteps getting closer and closer, even approaching his hiding spot, Alex simply gritted his teeth, tore open the cement packaging, and directly threw a handful of cement powder outside.

Instantly, dust filled the air.

"...Cough, cough... What is this?"

The mysterious woman was caught off guard by the sudden attack. She began to cough, her vision obscured.

Seeing the opportunity, Alex immediately acted. He jumped out from his hiding spot and thrust the stick at her. At the same time, he activated the Vibration Skill, hitting her squarely on the left side of her chest.

A person's heart is generally on the left side. Alex didn't believe the other party would be fine after a strong vibration to the heart.

The mysterious woman's body trembled violently. She grit her teeth and let out a soft moan, her eyes flickering with a mysterious, blurred color. Her expression shifted rapidly, finally turning into one of shame and anger.

Oh no, the fat is too thick!

He suddenly realized something, but Alex didn't have time to react. The mysterious woman slapped the stick. While her palm went numb, she also knocked the stick out of Alex's hand. At the same time, she raised her right hand, pointing the muzzle at Alex.

Being pointed at by the dark little hole, Alex's mind went blank for a moment. But then he saw the mysterious woman's expression change as she spoke with difficulty, "Damn it, what did you do to me? My body... is out of control!"

She let out a mournful cry. In the area filled with cement dust, her body began to sway slowly and uncontrollably. Her voluptuous curves, wrapped in a black bodysuit, appeared utterly seductive as they twisted.

Alex was stunned for a moment. Coming to his senses, he unhesitatingly threw a second handful of cement at the woman, enveloping her body in the dust.

The woman's body stiffened, and the rhythm of her twisting became even more intense.
