I'd say I was awestruck by how massive and advanced the Foundry on the Ark was, but then I'd be lying.
I'd spent several months tinkering in this massive area alongside the Builder and Miners who oversaw the Foundry. They'd been pretty interested in a few things I'd pulled from the Gacha.
I'd given them the Stimpack first, several in fact, as they quickly figured out how they worked, and gave boatloads of them to the Lifeworkers. They were even part of the emergency field supply.
They'd had a bit more fun with the lightsaber. They were able to replicate it after a week, then spent another few days making them better somehow. How they did in a week what thousands of Jedi over thousands of years couldn't do is beyond me.
They all hated the Unbreakable Blade, however. I don't blame them; it's too funny to see them stare at it in horror and hate as they tried over and over to replicate it. Even after many years, nothing had worked.
I have it with me again; they'd mostly given up by now. I'm pretty sure they make new Builders and Miners craft theories as to why the blade is the way it is lol. I use it as a melee weapon, actually, since it's the only thing I can't destroy.
Right now, the Foundry was mostly silent. Sure, it was well maintained, and there was always someone tinkering with the tech we had to try and make something new, but nothing large was being made, other than the new parts for the Spirit of Fire.
It was time for that to change. I had plans, not for this galaxy, no. Humanity would rise; they would do so with my help and guidance so they could rise above the pettiness that has kept them chained for so long.
I had plans to get back home. Not my original world; there was nothing left there. I wanted to go back, to U.A, to Japan. I wanted to see All Might, Izuku, hear Mina laugh, laugh when Denki did something dumb that made Jiro poke him.
I wanted to work out with Kirishima and Bakugo. I wanted to tinker with more technology with Mei. I wanted to study for the next exam with Momo and Shoto. Hell, I'd be happy to see Nezu himself, no matter how scary the Rat God is.
I also had unfinished business. So I needed to get back as soon as possible. I had two ways that I could think of- well, three.
First, expand Forerunner tech to the point that they could punch through whatever barrier was keeping me trapped here, maybe. My theory is getting to wherever the multiverse is, and then I could slowly try to find the AU I'd come from.
Not really great chances, I know. I'd need something like the Atlas from Minecraft Story Mode to really traverse the Multiverse. I didn't like my chances without it, since I don't know how much time has passed for them. Stupid Gacha refused to tell me.
Second, do a crap ton of feats and earn as many tickets as possible. I've browsed through the things I could get, and I've noticed several things that are exactly what I need.
[Tinker - Dimensions]
Divine Ability
Allows you to build, construct, and design contraptions or machines related to the manipulation of dimensions and dimensional operations. Such as pocket dimension generators, teleportation sealers, Dimensional Rams, Interdimensional Portals, unbreakable spatial barrier generators, drawing energy from neighboring parallel dimensions, and much more. Essentially, the Kaleidoscope through Science.
[Doormaker]
Mythical Ability
Allows you to create portals that can cross even dimensions that you can place anywhere you can perceive or have been to.
[Hoopa]
Mythical Familiar
Pokemon - Hoopa is the Djinn Pokémon. In addition to its ability to use Dark- and Psychic-type attacks and its great physical might, Hoopa is capable of using its rings as incredibly versatile portals capable of penetrating even dimensional boundaries between universes.
[Sling Ring]
Mythical Item
Marvel - The Sling Ring is a mystical ring that allows its user to open Interdimensional portals, allowing them to travel even across the multiverse by visualizing where they want to go and opening a portal to there. But magical training is needed to make full use of the ring's abilities.
If I could get my hands on any ONE of these things, I'd have a decent shot at getting back home. If I could get several, it would be even better, but I only needed one to start with.
The last way I could think of was the simplest and riskiest. I had to die. By dying, I would be sent back to the ROB and Gacha to roll for another world; the chances were small, but still there that I'd be able to reach home once more.
The problem with that was that I risked losing everything I had. My fleet, my armor, my things from the Gacha, everything. I wanted to get back, but I wasn't about to lose everything, not yet anyway.
Shaking myself from my musings, I went over to the nearest hard light console and began putting in requests for new ships. The Foundry was made to produce and repair Halos, but could also make ships.
Since the galaxy was currently at war, and I would likely leave at some point, I didn't want the Ark to be left defenseless. I didn't plan on using much, just bringing my total number of frigates up to ten and making ships for them to carry within them.
That would give me the most bang for my buck from here on. It was simple as well since I'd brought back as much usable material as I could from the debris field that used to be the Etran Harborage.
I spent some time designing the new ships that would technically be escorts for the fleet, though carried within the frigates. I had already downloaded most of the ship designs from the Spirit of Fire's database, and so used the Paris-Class heavy frigate.
The Spirit of Fire itself would also be joining my fleet. Cutter had already been told, as had Serina. They'd argued, of course, until I showed them that to the UNSC, they were lost with all hands.
Since they knew they couldn't go back, not yet anyway, they agreed to be a part of my fleet as a support ship for now.
As I was finishing up the other things I'd also come here to do, my ancilla warned me that Tragic Solitude was en route with Anders and company; he was giving them a tour of the Foundry.
Sending a warning to Tragic Solitude to avoid a certain area, I left the Foundry to plan my next move.
